I love how when Jack gets his memories back in the finale, the first half of his flashbacks are a compilation of every Lost character, and then the second half is like
“kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate kate”

i don’t know how to explain to you people that no matter what a country’s government is like i do not and will not support the US indiscriminately bombing that country’s civilians and i don’t know why that’s a controversial take tbh

nani in the original movie: i'm literally the only one who understands lilo, she's too autistic for the 2000s to handle and everyone else gives up on her or treats her like the problem. if anything happens to her i feel like i'm going to lose myself. literally everything i do in my life is so that i can keep custody of my sister and never have to have her separated from me, also this is lowkey a metaphor for colonialism
nani in the live-action movie: she'll be fine. im going to college

You don't have to defend the Iranian misogynistic religious theoacry to condemn the Israel-US decision to bomb them btw. It's not a stan-war.

So, I decided to rewatch some episodes of Lilo and Stich the series and it made me realize something…annoyingly realistic about Lilo’s hula teacher. He…never really does anything about Myrtle’s bullying. Like, he gets…mildly annoyed at her but she never faces any real consequences. Lilo always gets in trouble, for fighting, or because Myrtle does something to make her look bad, or you know, standing up for herself, but she doesn’t.
And as someone who was bullied for being the weird girl in school, and went to my teachers multiple times about it only to be met with advice like "ignore them" or "be the bigger person" and in the case of one boy who pushed me, threw things at me, and hit me "it just means he likes you". It hits hard…
The only difference is Lilo’s teacher was at least sympathetic towards Lilo when she got in trouble for standing up against her bully.

Broke: Lana Lang is annoying
Woke: Lana Lang is a good character with some bad writing issues.
Bespoke: Lana Lang was abandoned or treated poorly and lied to by almost everyone she ever loved, but all she ever wanted was to love and be loved and find her place in the world... so she handed out second chances even when she probably shouldn't have, and tried to trust people even when they broke her trust repeatedly. And yes she made some mistakes. And yes she had to grapple with her own dark shadows. But despite all of that she's still on the side of life and love and light.
