Well I hate to break it to you Santae is the game I created. I’ve also loved every session with my therapist. I just refuse to allow a select few make me think differently about my creation, 15 years of work. I’m sorry you think opposite but we aren’t a corporation I’m a real person. You respond in a way that is beyond hurtful and expect no response and silence. I’m not going to be run off from my game. Please don’t forget I created Santae for myself to play away from every other site that had not so nice folks on there. I’ve allowed yall to take away my ability to just hang out with the community I built, randomly gift members, help during events playing the game when I’ve done it since day one and was never an issue till the ones with constant accusations or something we didn’t do right. Now, I’m to the point of you can do it better and faster I challenge you to do just that. I can also say 3 staff members have seen everything I’ve had planned out for years for Santae before AI and it’s more than you could ever imagine.

How could you say quit the game I built, my childhood dream, I busted my ass to earn as much money as I could and I funneled every single bit into Santae. Long before I could find the first person interested in helping with backend or frontend let alone content. You all see Santae how it has been since alpha. You weren’t there for over a year working on Santae uploading, configuring, developing features for Santae. I worked 12 - 24 hour shifts while doing Santae at the same time.

Who could run Santae, who knows the story, assets, plots, future pets and colors, NPCs, rpg aspect, Birthsigns? Sure I have it all written down. But it’s easier to say that and have no genuine reason other then some hate blog you picked some negative energy up on at, to be rude or disrespectful. I sincerely hope nobody ever wishes you quit your dreams.

But I refuse to allow anyone to bully me anymore, member, non-member, irl, This is my game and I deserve to enjoy it too. I promise you, you’d feel the same.

I’ve proved I wasn’t lying, I was called unprofessional but before that I was a liar about that something I knew I wasn’t and nobody believed me when I never gave anyone a reason not to and people quit playing hurting the game even more! I came forward with AB utilizing ai software to make a mash up board like she did when finding images on google. You can see this in a screenshot. I’ve asked them to respond publicly they refuse, their only statement was the one I shared how it’s not their fault if nobody believes me they are 100% drawn.

Again, please know I’m a real person, with emotions and work on something for 15 years and you do your absolute best and it always feels like you’ve falling short sometime or another.

There is so much negativity or this needs redone or you did this wrong. Or like today the complete incorrect item being blasted by multiple people so I showed screenshots from The last 3 variations, it’s overwhelming. We only have one programmer, and I’m not going to speak ill of them or any staff

So I'm confused, was the "artist" using AI to generate references? Which still isn't great, or the right thing to do btw as it's known AI steals content from real works of art...

Or were they using AI for everything, and putting/mashing AI stuff together and claiming it as their own work??

I've been loving Santae so it would be so disappointing to have you endorse AI in any way.

They used it to generate references as shown in the images. However, there are some that are very close to the reference image so we chose to revamp every single piece that artist made and replace them. Every piece of art was made by a human artist and to my knowledge all these were and I have the screenshots to show every update on every piece this artist did showing sketches, lining, rendering and speed draws. But because they used references generated even if they were off NPCs I had commissioned years before and provided the actual images for I made the decision to replace anything they made. Which was a majority of our NPCs which we have been replacing since September of last year and remain doing them until every single one is replaced. I never have supported AI as it is disgustingly wrong to take an artists work and have a machine make it so you don’t have to pay the artist. Which is why I support artists so strongly and have for years. I love art and no machine could ever replace the talent, skill, creativity and love each artist puts into their work. I paid this artist for every single NPC at 80$ each per our agreement on a bulk order commission. I provided all these images I already had or a description of what the NPC should look like. These are my characters I’ve had for years, long before AI came around.

RE: Password Security on Santae

We want to directly address a false and misleading claim circulating online.

No one on the Santae team — including administrators or management — can see your password. Passwords are never stored in plaintext. Like any secure platform, we use one-way encryption to protect your login credentials. We use Laravel’s built-in authentication system, which hashes (and salts) every password before it’s ever saved. This means your actual password is not visible or accessible to anyone, including Myself(CJ), Developers, Management or Administrators.

We can assist with password resets only in cases where the “Forgot Password” function fails. This is a standard fail-safe, allowing us to manually set a new password upon your request. However, we do not have access to your current or previous passwords, nor can we view any password you’ve set.

We always encourage you to use a unique password for Santae and for every other service you use.

Spreading misinformation like this causes unnecessary panic and undermines trust in the safety protocols we’ve put in place. We take your account security very seriously, and our systems are designed to uphold modern standards of user privacy and data protection.

Relics Of The Meadow Forgotten

It was inevitable: Wherever Scholar Orion spent any amount of time, books would start to appear. 

His collection in the Resurrection Machine was still paltry compared to the grand library of Halo Haven or the university at the Floating Pinnacles -- but it was adding up. Each time he visited Halo Haven, an interesting tome or two would slip into his pack for the trip back to Sienna Canyon. Rose, too, had started to form the habit of keeping some of her research texts in the lab to reference while continuing to refine the operation of the Resurrection Machine. 

That's why Orion wasn't surprised when he found a book he didn't recognize on one of the Lab's shelves. Its dusty cover betrayed great age, and its pages were dense with old-fashioned text. "Rose," Orion asked, holding the tome carefully. "Is this one of yours?"

"I don't think so..." Rose replied curiously. "What is it?"

"Hmm." Orion quickly scanned a few pages of the ancient book. "It's something like a travelogue. Let's see here..."

The book described a journey into the wild corners of Santae in search of a place of refuge. Ancient travelers discovered a hidden sanctuary within a lush meadow, and quickly discovered that it was the perfect haven where Pets could remain while not actively accompanying their companions on their journey. The serene landscape was full of hidden groves and corners -- perfect for hiding away secret relics. 

"It sounds like a fascinating place," Rose murmured after Orion explained the contents of the tome. "The Meadow Forgotten -- I wonder if it could still exist?"

Orion perked up as his eyes fell on an object sitting upon the corner of his desk. "I think it must!" Orion cried, scooping up the chunk of stone. "I found this in the Mines during my last expedition," Orion tilted the mossy Relic fragment so Rose could see the hint of a hidden engraving on its surface. 

"And look -- this marking seems like a good match for the descriptions in the book! Could this fragment be from The Meadow Forgotten itself?"

Rose's eyes lit up and she let out a squeak of excitement, causing Dex the Harlowin to raise its head from its nap and fix her with a curious look. "I think that is absolutely a possibility!" Rose said. 

"We need to do more research," Orion agreed. "Perhaps Vespera and our Adventurer friends can discover more of these Relic Fragments for analysis?"

The journey has just begun!

We don't know for sure where these fragments could be hiding, so explore as much as you can to discover them! Venturing into Santae's wilder corners may be a good place to start. And perhaps one might even be tucked away where ancient runes are found...

Mystic Adventure Monday

Development of Santae's Mystic Adventure, an exciting upcoming game mode, is underway! Each Monday, we'll share development progress and sneak peeks at how the Mystic Adventure is progressing.

This week, some exciting updates to the environmental artwork -- and the programming that will make gameplay possible!

The tile art that forms the environment of Santae's Mystic Adventure has been revised by the art team for a less "boxy" look. We've also swapped out the placeholder character sprites with a replacement temporary sprite. Farewell stick figures, and hello Pipsqueak Wispyr!

We have also prepared the project for scenery and depth objects. This will allow the tokens to go in front of and behind scenery once it is added to the game!

Meanwhile, under the hood, work has begun on some of the base networking code so that we can develop the frontend and backend simultaneously.

We have also started programming interactivity to prepare for users to "roll a die" and then allow their player character to move around the board by the specified number of tiles.

The pieces are slowly but surely coming together for the basic elements that will make the gameplay and world of Santae's Mystic Adventure possible. Look forward to even more exciting news next Mystic Adventure Monday!
