Something I don’t think we talk about enough when discussing radical feminist issues is the specific types of abuse that Asian women and girls experience.

I live in an area that is around 40-50% Asian and all of my close friends are Asian and the amount of sexualisation that Asian teenage girls experience is so fucked up. Practically all of the girls at my school who are dating males (oftentimes MEN) who are considerably older than them are Asian. An alarming amount of East Asian girls in my year, including some of my friends, will heavily edit their instagram pictures in order to make their skin look extremely pale, their eyes look very big and overall trying to make themselves look childlike. A lot of Asian girls I’ve spoken to have a story about being sexually harassed where their race was specifically a factor (e.g. a man harassing them saying he wants a Japanese girlfriend). My friends have expressed concerns around being fetishised in relationships and a lot of them are only interested in dating other Asian guys for that reason. My south Asian friends have talked about being treated different than everyone else when they went through puberty because of their body hair, which has caused them to be very ashamed by it and embarrassed if someone points it out.

Let’s PLEASE talk about this more, no one should have to go through this shit.

"He's different around his friends." Believe that version of him. Why is he keeping friends with people who are fundamentally different than him? He's not. He wants to impress those boys/men and be accepted by them, so clearly he aligns with their values. Also, consider that that's who he is when he feels protected. If he's a rude, disrespectful asshole when he's with his friends then that's because he feels safe being who he truly is in a group of people he feels will protect him (or at the very least go down with him) if things go south. Men are never more of themselves then when they're with other men. A man who is truly nice will not suddenly be an asshole around his friends. A man who is truly nice would not hang out with people he feels the need to be mean around to impress. Believe who he is when he's with his friends.

quick reminder to never take men’s accomplishments seriously. men get everything handed to them and yet their egos are still sky high for no fucking reason. a man will trace-draw anime characters badly and call himself an artist, or tinker around with python for two hours and call himself a programmer, or put on a sweater and jeans and call himself a fashionista. it’s pathetic.

The amount to which men use technology to prevent women from being feminists or engaging with feminist content is truly mind blowing.

If you want to find feminist content on this website, you must be willing to subject yourself to “feminization” porn, sissy porn, hypno porn. The more you tag your own posts with “feminism”, the more your For You page here will associate your “tastes” with porn, because men have flooded our tags with porn. But when I first started looking into radfem tags, tumblr added a big blurb on my page telling me radical feminist content was NSFW.

If you want to find feminist content on Reddit, men will ensure that they are the moderators of the sub, and if they’re not, they shut the sub down for hate speech. If you type in the search bar trying to find content about women, you have to wade through the porn subs.

Boys in school are using AI to make porn of their classmates. YouTube and TikTok algorithms direct their consumers to more radicalizing content, which trends towards the violent and conservative. Men dominate the podcast scene and online gaming, and sexually harass and dox women who dare to enter the fray. Instagram has become a free-for-all for child predators and pedophiles.

But if a woman tries to make a woman-only app to find female roommates in Australia, she gets sued for hate crimes.

Men have weaponized every aspect of the internet into berating and belittling women.
