I think people tend to ignore TLQ's own distinct sassy personality in favour of his voices and the vessels.

Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but most of the content I've seen of him generally focuses more on his divinity and relationship with TSM than the Absolute Guy that he is. which is a little tragic

Opportunist sighed, swallowing any swears he wanted to let out, as Contrarian's ear wing hit his face again as Opportunist attempted to preen him.

He tried to ignore it, even tilting his head away in preparation, but as he leaned away from one ear, he yelped as the other one hit his face.

Contrarian giggled, trying to smother it beneath his hand, but Opportunist heard it clear as day.

He put his hands on Contrarian's shoulders, massaging them in the hopes of making him relax.

"Are you bored of this?" Opportunist casually asked. "I'm sorry if this isn't very entertaining, but you know Hunted will have your head if he sees your wings messy for another second."

Contrarian snorted, leaning back against Opportunist's chest. "I know. I just don't like staying still for long."

"Oh, I get that." Opportunist hoped that by chatting with Contrarian, it would distract him long enough for Opportunist to get the job done.

"But just think of all the fun things you'll get to do once I'm done. The world will be yours- if you would simply be still for five minutes."

"What should I do?" Contrarian thought out loud, tilting his head back to look at the ceiling, inadvertently making eye contact with Opportunist.

They stared at each other for a few seconds in surprise, before Contrarian gave him a bright, innocent smile, and Opportunist just chuckled nervously as his face heated up.

Opportunist wasn't sure why he was spending so much time with Contrarian. Maybe it was just easier to get him to do things, or maybe Contrarian just made everything feel a little less intense and scary.

Whatever it was, Opportunist wanted to stick by him, because having someone on his side was always a good thing, no matter how annoying others may find him.

"Part of me wants to get my wings messy again, just to see Hunted lose it-"

Opportunist frowned and immediately yanked out a perfectly healthy feather, making Contrarian jump on the spot with a pained yelp.

Opportunist smiled again, but it felt a bit strained. "How about we don't do that?" he suggested, in the most polite tone he could muster.

Contrarian pouted as he rubbed his wing soothingly, but still said, "Fine. If you insist. But I still kinda wanna annoy someone today."

"So long as I don't have to be here for another few hours, then you can do whatever you want."

Contrarian chuckled, fully relaxing against Opportunist now.

He could feel Contrarian's forehead leaning against his collarbone, and Opportunist hoped he couldn't feel his heartbeat picking up against him.

"There's so many things that I wanna do," Contrarian murmured against his skin, and Opportunist's hands trembled slightly, before he forced them to remain steady. "So many things I wanna do that everyone else doesn't want me to do."

Contrarian grazed his ear wing much more softly against Opportunist's face, and Opportunist's breath hitched. He's never had someone be this touchy and relaxed with him before.

Contrarian's voice was barely a whisper as he asked, "I wanna cause some chaos. Do you wanna join me, Oppy?"

Something about the way Contrarian said his name, light and playful, without a hint of fear or suspicion, sent a shiver down Opportunist's spine. He didn't know his name could sound that sweet.

But then Contrarian's offer registered in his head. Chaos? Amongst the flock? That was the last thing Opportunist should be participating in. Even with being on his best behaviour, Opportunist knew that he couldn't allow himself to be caught causing trouble. He was already on thin ice just by being him, and Contrarian's idea of chaos was always on the extreme side.

"You know what would be funny?" Contrarian said, completely ignoring Opportunist's dilemma. "We get you to distract Skeptic, ramble about whatever- you're good at that- and I'll sneak in and mess with all his notes, write the opposite of whatever progress he has down."

Contrarian burst into snickers, curling in on himself, and Opportunist found himself moving his arms to wrap around his neck, to keep the other close and hear more of that laughter.

He didn't want to mess with Skeptic, but the fact that Contrarian trusted him enough to ask him to join in on his prank meant a lot to Opportunist. Opportunist thought that he and Contrarian had nothing in common, but he found that he liked sharing little jokes with him, or listening to all the things that Contrarian found funny.

Opportunist just liked someone filling the silence that followed him.

That was surely worth Skeptic's scorn, right? Surely friendship and helping people out was what the flock wanted Opportunist to do, right?

Opportunist hummed in thought. "Maybe, but I also think Skeptic will have prepared for one of your pranks."

"True." Contrarian sighed, one of his hands reaching down to tap a random tune on Opportunist's thigh. "We need to go for someone more gullible, more easy to trick."

The name slipped out of Opportunist's mouth before he realised what he was doing. "Hero."

"Yes! Hero!" Contrarian exclaimed in glee, straightening up so that they were almost at eye level.

Opportunist couldn't help but get lost in the twinkle in them as Contrarian excitedly said, "Let's piss off Hero! I've never seen Hero angry, and I know Cold's been trying to get on his nerves as well. How funny would it be if I got there first!"

Contrarian scooted forward a bit, giving himself just enough room to twist around and face Opportunist properly, giving him a bright smile. "What do you say? You in?"

The thought of getting on Hero's bad side was Opportunist's personal nightmare. He truly couldn't think of a worse choice he could make than making the leader of the flock hate him.

He didn't want to do it. He didn't want to bring trouble to the flock, because nobody would be on his side.

Well, one person would be.

"Sure," Opportunist softly said, his voice sounding faraway in his own head. He let a nervous chuckle out, hoping Contrarian couldn't pick up how much he didn't want to go through with this. "Let's do it."

Contrarian blinked at him, silent- which was unusual for the bird. Then he burst out into loud laughter.

Opportunist jumped in fright, not sure what was so funny right now, but didn't dare interrupt.

Contrarian rocked back and forth as he laughed, his eyes never leaving Opportunist. Then, he rocked forward hard enough to lean into Opportunist's personal space, and Opportunist froze as their faces were inches apart.

Contrarian beamed at him in a way that Opportunist wasn't sure whether to appreciate or be afraid of.

Then, Contrarian giggled as he said, "You're so pathetic, you know that?"

Opportunist's mind froze.

Contrarian giggled at the shock that was probably evident in Oppportunist's eyes, and he reached out to cup his face, and immediately, Opportunist's cheeks heated up.

"You're so pathetic that it's kinda funny, Oppy!" Contrarian said, mischief shining in his eyes. "I know you don't want to do this! But you still said yes! That's so weird!"

"It's not- that weird," Opportunist tried to argue, averting his gaze and trying to escape the teasing glint in Contrarian's eyes.

"Yeah it is!" Contrarian insisted. "You literally will say yes to anything if it gets you closer with someone! I don't think you've ever said no in your life!"

"That's not true," Opportunist mumbled, and then Contrarian chuckled lightly in amusement, as if Opportunist's words weren't anything to take seriously.

He looked at Opportunist with so much joy and brightness, as if he had found the best entertainment in the world. Opportunist couldn't help but get lost in them.

Then, Contrarian calmed down for a bit, squeezing his cheeks as he said, "You're funny. You're funny when you're pathetic. It keeps things interesting."

Contrarian started to pat one of his cheeks, getting harder and harder until-

-slap!

Opportunist felt tears pooling in his eyes.

Contrarian giggled innocently, and Opportunist was just focused on keeping the smile on his face, to keep Contrarian happy- or at least, amused. He ignored the stinging of his cheek.

Contrarian sighed, shoving Opportunist roughly down on the bed so that he could snuggle against his chest. "I've decided I don't want to mess with Hero anymore. You're funnier to be around."

Opportunist shook, but he made himself close his eyes, to focus on the nice warmth of Contrarian's body and not the painful warmth on his cheek.

He could keep entertaining Contrarian.

Contrarian was the only one who would tolerate his existence, so Opportunist will happily play the fool.

Just an update for anyone who cares, I ended up editing the sketch so much it's basically line art cus taking a pic had a lot of glare lol

So, my main design art is mostly finished, got like one or two more things, but with the hea design, I have this black sketch book that I use a white colored pencil for so he already looks like a shadow, and I'm not sure if trying to line it would make it that much more recinizable as mine? Cus the way I do line art, all my voices have different pens for their line art and hea would need one too, and I might not even draw him again. I'm also a bit worried about the quality if I don't wanna draw him but still have to for this tbh

Tldr: I think just the sketch for hea would be good with my design so I don't really wanna line it, but i will if I have to

Whichever you prefer to send, use it. Just know that whatever you send will be what I have to go off of to draw the chibi
