first new forms • while i’m still really struggling physically to make work, i’ve missed it dearly and i’m really enjoying the pieces i’ve made so far. handbuilding allows me the time i need to explore forms, but also to take breaks and allow the swelling in my fingers to subside. i’ve debated the type of work i want to make and the process to create these forms for a long time, so that i’d be able to sustain a practice that also makes me happy, instead of making work to satisfy others whether it be for school or submitting work to shows. i’ve finally come to a place of greater physical acceptance of my limitations, which has only increased the quality and efficiency of my work. for now, i’m content and excited to keep creating work that satisfies me, and then brings joy to others, in that order #pottery #handbuilding #porcelain (at The Pots Place) https://www.instagram.com/p/BuKOixqglvd/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=c3lx476ncako
