Speaking as someone living in an older American city, those are usually the graves of useful buildings that dated to when public transport was a thing,
Government buildings and "established" businesses (banks, law firms, utilities) tended to be centrally located when busses/trains/trolleys existed, but as urban sprawl began from post-WW2 creation of a market for cars/suburbs/nuclear families there needed to be more places to put cars.
(I suppose you could call me melodramatic for saying "graves", but my hometown was expanding a rail-line a few years ago, and construction had to stop due to the discovery of a black neighborhood that had been burned down during one of the race riots to the point where no records remained of it's existence.)
why does the usa have a city called corpus christi chuuni ass name you are not the body of christ you are a series of interconnected parking lots

READ THIS IF YOU PLAN TO BOYCOTT YOUTUBE LONG-TERM
get an invidious account. it is an alternative front-end to youtube, allowing you to make an account, subscribe to channels, make playlists, and all the other things you use youtube for; all without giving the company a single cent. swearing off youtube long-term is a tall ask, so you can use this to still follow the creators you want to keep up with while continuing the youtube boycott. it has a built-in adblock and anti-tracker, meaning that you can really keep fucking them over.
it doesnt interact with the API at all, it scrapes the metadata to make sure they get as little as possible.

The appearance of Grok chats in search engine results was first reported by tech industry publication Forbes, which counted more than 370,000 user conversations on Google. Among chat transcripts seen by the BBC were examples of Musk's chatbot being asked to create a secure password, provide meal plans for weight loss and answer detailed questions about medical conditions. Some indexed transcripts also showed users' attempts to test the limits on what Grok would say or do. In one example seen by the BBC, the chatbot provided detailed instructions on how to make a Class A drug in a lab.

It's unclear when it was coined, but "black moon" is an unofficial astronomical term. A new moon is considered by some to be a black moon one of two ways. It can happen when a new moon appears twice in one month (new moons usually happen once per month) or when there are four new moons in one season. When there are four new moons in one season, the third new moon is called a "black moon." Saturday's black moon is the third new moon of the summer season. The fourth new moon will occur on Sept. 21, one day before the first official day of the fall season or autumnal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere — when the sun moves directly over the equator, creating equal amounts of daylight and night time. You won't be able to see the black moon, but it will still be there in the sky. Since the illuminated part of the moon will be facing away from Earth, the moon will appear to be invisible in the night sky. However, this is a great opportunity to stargaze and see the Dumbbell Nebula (M27), known for its dumbbell-like shape, which can be seen with a telescope between the Altair and Deneb stars, according to NASA.

On a related note, a vtuber said I out weeb'ed her by getting into Electric Light Orchestra from the Daicon IV intro.

(She did question how I hadn't heard ELO before I knew someone with a Laserdisc player, but she's underestimating how bad the radio was when I was growing up. I only heard Evil Woman on the FM, which isn't as much my vibe as say...
