hiii! im really new to this fandom and now i cant get sasaki to miyano out of my heaaadd. when i checked sept. scanlations site, the download links for the chapter were not there and its only the novel translation and i really badly want to download all the chapters if u ever know where else i can download it from, pls reply thank u so muchhh

Hello! I know Yen Press publishes Bungou Stray Dogs and that comes out every couple of months. They even picked up the light novels for the series. So, hopefully they’ll do well with Sasaki and Miyano. I know the initial summary translation is wrong, but with fans speaking up, hopefully they’ll realize they need to do better. I’ve liked their work so far minus that summary.

I used to buy Kuroshitsuji volumes and I liked the translation from them so yeah, despite the glaringly wrong summary, let’s hope Yen Press can at least provide a good translation. I guess we’ll see! Sasamiya is relatively short so hopefully 🤞🏼

hey its that anon complaining about yen press: they picked up the series im reading in 2015, but by the time they picked it up there were already 15 volumes released in Japan (though I will point out that yen press is doing 2 volume omnibuses for it, thats still a slow turn around)

oof, like the yowapeda anon it seems like yen press struggles with longer series. again, hopefully it won’t affect sasamiya too much,,,

I'm so happy for sensei !! I mean, a licensed manga means more people and more support, but I'm not from the US and I can't preorder Sasamiya 'cause it's not shipped to my country. I'm in a way so sad, and September Scan won't translate the manga anymore. It's a bittersweet situation for me

Aww :( that’s really unfortunate you can’t preorder it - maybe the aftermarket? I’m sure it’ll make its way online eventually but the wait will already be painful enough.

(Different anon) I have the worse experience with yen press. Like it ruined yowamushi pedal in the time it takes them to release it. For reference volumes (31 and 32) from 2014 will be released in December this year. Current volume in Japan is 65. So many fans dropped it cause its been years and whats being covered in those volumes has been covered by the anime and it feels like no new content has been released. It seems very entitled but they really killed the hype for the manga.

Oh no :/ well since Sasamiya is only 6 volumes, hopefully it won’t take that long. I’m sorry to hear about Yowapeda tho! I like the anime.

Hello! The official licensed manga won’t be released until January 19, 2021! You can buy it, so far, on Amazon. I don’t know about any local book retailers but Amazon for sure has the preorders up and raring to go!

oh man it got picked up by yen press? yen press takes years to translate chapters... it took them like 5 years to translate 100 chapters of a manga im reading (and thats not because those chapters hadnt been out yet- latest volume was released in may 2020, whereas the japanese release was in 2017)

Sad :( I was hoping it would be about every 2 months after the first volume’s release like most manga are released but if that isn’t the case :’( either way, I’ll still buy them to support sensei but it feels iffy, what with the shoddy translation of the description and their apparent slowness.

When did yen press pick up the series you’re reading? Maybe that’s why it was slow? Either way, I guess we’ll see.

Hi! Did you see Sasaki to Miyano was picked up by a US publisher?

Not until you told me :o I saw this ask last night and immediately went in search of answers. I’m excited about it, but also a little sad because I really love Fencer/September’s translation. On the flip side, I’m excited to support the official release! The more content and exposure Sasamiya gets, the more likely an anime adaptation is - I hope Yen Press publishes a print edition so I can have it alongside my Japanese copies!
