Hi anon :) Apparently I lied and I am doing one more tonight. So, have some fluff.

It erupts out of Buck like a volcano. His head tilts back as his eyes close and he can feel the way his entire body shakes. The laughter echoes around them, loud and free.

The comment probably wasn't even that funny. But it was Eddie who delivered it. Eddie who can make Buck laugh even when he feels like he's being pulled under the surface and gulping in water instead of oxygen.

A lot of people think Eddie is bitchy or petty (and he is, Buck won't disagree with that) and so they miss how hilarious he is. How his quips are sharp and to the point, how his humour borders a bit on the darker side but makes it all the more delicious.

Not Buck though. He doesn't miss any of it. He loves all of it.

One of the many things he loves about Eddie Diaz, actually.

When Buck gets control over himself, wiping the corner of his eyes at the tears that had formed there from laughing so hard, his gaze lands on Eddie, who's smiling with such fondness at him. His big brown eyes are crinkled in the corners from the force of it, his cheeks a little flushed as well.

"W-what?" Buck asks around a hiccuped giggled.

"Nothing," Eddie shakes his head slowly, languidly, "I just..." The flush on his cheeks deepens a shade, "I like your laugh."

Like the laughter from before, love erupts inside of Buck's chest. Love for the man sitting across from him.

If Buck sits on the comment and thinks about it, he'll recall those from before who wrinkled his nose or shushed him for laughing. He was always disruptive, to others. But that isn't what Buck focuses on now.

Because that isn't the point of Eddie's comment.

It's Eddie's way of expressing his love to Buck in ways that will actually register in Buck's mind.

They had learned, early into their new found relationship, that while Buck doesn't doubt Eddie loves him, hearing the simple I love you feels almost hollow from Buck's past. He'd been told those words before, only to have said person turn their backs on him.

And Buck doesn't believe Eddie will do that, but that doesn't mean he's able to just completely step away from his trauma and the way his mind reacts. He's trying, for Eddie, but it's difficult and messy and so tiring.

Eddie had been the one to figure it out. He figured out how Buck would light up at little compliments from Eddie here and there, ones that told Buck Eddie saw and heard him. That Eddie loves him.

And so Eddie tells Buck I love you in different ways, in ways that others will maybe not understand the true meaning of, but Buck does. And that's what matters.

"Good thing you make me laugh the most then." Buck hums, sliding across the couch and taking a quick glance around the loft of the station. They're alone though, which means he can swoop in and steal a kiss from the man he loves oh so much.

"A very good thing." Eddie curls his fingers around the back of Buck's neck and pulls him in for another kiss, this one last longer than before. "Because I do. Love your laugh. It's so infectious." They're both smiling too big to kiss properly now, so they simply gaze at each other with love and adoration. "It makes me laugh. And fills me with happiness. Joy."

"Good." Buck brushes his nose against Eddie's, "You deserve joy."

"Then it's a good thing I have you."

"A very good thing." Buck nods, sitting back just as footsteps bound up the stairs. He shares a look with Eddie before curling into himself, bursting into a fresh set of giggles.

Ravi stops at the top of the stairs, Chim right behind him. Ravi shakes his head and makes for the coffee maker while Chimney's face screws up in confusion.

"What's so funny?"

Buck keeps laughing and Eddie keeps smiling.
