other than tulin the sages are like the one part of this game's feedback that has been DISTINCTLY negative. no one likes the name "secret stones". their abilities are unbelievably clunky to activate in combat. they made sidon straight. yunobo becoming a CEO probably would've gotten the same backlash as cop toph/undyne if anyone liked yunobo. riju is there.
TotK is such an astronomically good game that every time they mess up the simplest little thing you can't help but sit there flabbergasted like how do you develop the most genius enemy scaling system we've ever seen depending on which region you tackle first yet forget to scale the unskippable sage cutscenes too i had to watch that shit FOUR TIMES

capcom confidently showing off their evolution in cloth physics and fluid animation the same day NRS bestows this upon us in a game that requires DOUBLE the storage space is the funniest thing i've seen all week they really will never learn
nimona is sooooo strongly myla coded that people are probably gonna think i ripped them off but i had this idea like over 5 years ago now and i only realize how many mylas there are in media now that the character is so ingrained into my psyche her kinlist is gonna be absolutely BRIMMING if i can even remember all of them
my biggest fixation for the past year has definitely been music, sharing and discovering new music, the stories behind music, little analyses of the sounds of music (which i've been writing on my Album of the Year account that kinda has longform bloggy content too) etc. etc. but the thing about music is that it is incredibly hard to discuss on text-based social media, not only cause it's trying to transmit audio based media through a predominantly visual based medium, but also engagement farming causes discussions to focus around hot takes and controversial opinions all the time. not saying differing opinions are bad or anything, music is THE most subjective form of art imaginable, but seeing the same black & white thoughts engineered to promote arguments and division every day, that's what those sites feed on, it's the worst. i like nuance. nuance makes my brain happy, taking in different perspectives and forming your own opinion, fucking love that shit, wish so many english essays didn't take off points for you using it. do you see how much i'm writing about nuance right now? this could've been an essay but here i am writing it for free
see the thing i like about tumblr conceptually is that. i rarely talk about my fixations nowadays, even with people i'm close to, cause i tend to focus on what they're into and making the conversation engaging for them. social media SHOULD be where i get to express all this stuff, but the way places like twitter and instagram are structured it feels like content more than real passions. the goal is to make big number go up. and you can definitely make big number go up on tumblr too, but it's a BLOG first and foremost, something i've... never really had before! it'll never be a replacement for twitter, but it'll sure as hell be a replacement for my private twitter which i tried to structure like a blog, but then nothing really got interactions on there, which was sad lol
