i dont think kishimoto was smart enough to intentionally do this like, it just worked out that way because his politics and mentality are so fucked up, but “will of fire” mirrors real life fascist propaganda to a hilarious degree. it’s not like, idk, pokemon verse where if you consider it for more than five minutes you’re like well that’s disturbing, but the worldbuilding is too shallow and ridiculous for it to have any substantial parallels to actual politics. the will of fire shit on the other hand works as an exact parallel, right down to its justification of punishing dissidents/defectors and enacting genocide. “we have to kill the children because they might develop resentment towards the state once they realize their relatives were murdered by it” - actual justification genocidal regimes have historically used
