A whine left her lips and she shook her head harshly, hand pressing over her mouth even as she pressed further into herself.

Sasume hiccuped, wiping at her eyes and only able to force herself to look in his general direction with how revolting she felt. "Yo-You didn't do anything," she cracked quietly, vision blurring only a moment before the tears leaked out. "I-I just—"

Tyki froze, eyes widening, and pulled his hand back. Sasume had never once rejected his touch like this before. Something was wrong.

"Sasume…?" he asked cautiously, stepping towards her. "Love, what’s wrong?"

She jumped, stepping away and unconsciously flinching back just at the small moment. She just shook her head, Tyki's concern only making her want to start bawling even with how disgusting she felt. Sasume pressed her hands against her face, struggling to keep her breathing even as tremors started to spread through her body.

Finally got to finishing this “scene redraw” of a few FireWire pages that were both never released AND result in too-ambiguous of a result for me to need to hide anything.

I’m not happy with, well, just about EVERYTHING except for the last panel, but I still just DON’T LIKE IT Q HQ I figure if/when I FINALLY FLIPPIN’ DECIDE how I’ll go about shading/toning irises and solid-black clothes/objects (aND H AIR FFF) I’ll like it more, but for now I AM JUST “EH.”

Sasume jumped, whipping around only to find the kid in front of her again. She sighed inwardly and just folded her arms, eyebrow arching.

"What's your next class?" she asked flatly, straight to the point as always. Well, perhaps not always, but until she could actually say she gave a shit about it that was how she was. Apathetic and giving zero shits until someone somehow gave her the reason to actually care; at least she could blame the damned PTSD.

"Are you even in the right class?" a bluish eyebrow (the only one even visible with her hairstyle) is arched toward the oddly white-haired male as she gave the flat question, because if Sasume's remembering right he was at least a year behind her at this wasn't exactly a lower-classmen course. True, she may have missed a few years (which had been nothing but a bitch to make up) and wound up a year behind where she should've been, but still. [[*c HUCKS THIS AT* HAVE A T HING EYYYYY IDEK

Allen looked up from his schedule, briefly checking behind him to make sure she was talking to him. “Uh, I think so. AP World, right?” He asked, a slight accent lilting his speech. “I’m new to this school, it wouldn’t be a surprise if I got the class wrong.” A gloved hand adjusted the shoulder strap of his bag.

Sasume faltered at that, blinking owlishly. She, in all honesty, had no idea how to take that. 

"'A million is a statistic,'" she muttered to herself after a long moment, before taking another swig of her tea. She sighed quietly and idly looked down at her glass. "And it's none of your damned business, but... got into lots of shit when my mom died when I was eight. Dad left me and my sister with my godmom, and I acted out a lot. Got into crime; managed to finally break it off when I was twelve."

She shrugged, feeling her insides sour and hands start to shake as bile rose in her throat and her vision blurred for a moment with tears. "Couple years ago, ah..." her voice dropped, going quiet. "Caught up with me. Shit hit the fan only a couple months before I was gonna turn fourteen. Can't say I'm surprised when the whole PTSD-thing was diagnosed..."

Locked Away

Sasume swallowed, his fuzzy form still managing to register in her mind. She felt the sweat slide down her skin, and blinked slowly for a few moments; in all honesty, she almost slipped into unconsciousness.

"A-Aku..." she said quietly, expression softening with relief even with how exhausted she was. She felt tears leak out onto her washes, but she didn't care at all.

"GOD DAMN IT SASUME YOU JACKASS!" He hissed "YOU CANT KEEP DOING THIS TO ME!" He growled, angry she was so horribly injured that she had to fucking call him so go get her.

As soon as his voice raised Sasume felt her stomach plummet and her gut twist, the pain in her heart worse than the pain in her body. She was supposed to this; supposed to ask for help when she needed it instead of trying to struggle on her own, and yet…

"Forget it," she cracked, voice clipped and thick with emotion. She hauled herself to her feet, vision flashing white from agony just at the small motion. She had to slump against the wall as she dragged herself along, hand shaking just as she kept the phone to her ear. "I can… can get back on my own."
