honestly, i think their first meeting (both the unofficial and official one). like castiel literally drags the man out of hell, marks him with his handprint bc of how much power he was using, and then constantly tries to connect with dean after he comes back to life. then they meet face to face and dean’s wary, but also still into him?? and actually somewhat believes in castiel despite being full of spite towards religion.

plus the arc where castiel was brainwashed and ordered to kill dean (and only dean (and had to be trained to kill dean by killing thousands of fake deans)). and then dean snaps him out of it by grasping onto him and saying he needs him?? gay love for the win ‼️
