Body Language Studies!

Hi I just wanted to say thank you for your blog!

It was the first queer-elder-(I am so sorry you are only like 30)-run blog to make it across my dashboard and I just wanted to let you know that I have pack-bonded with it. Uh yeah, old(er) queers have never really been something that's visible in my life, so thank you for your service! (random posts about Grindr)

I want you to know that this ask made me cry in the best way.

I have never really had any elder queers in my life - the AIDs epidemic and things like Section 28 keeping people closeted saw to it that many people older than me in the queer community either never feel they can come out or died from AIDs in the 80s and 90s. - so to be able to becoming an elder queer myself, well, that's just lovely. I WANT younger people to look up to me and think 'yeah if they can do it then I can live authentically too'.

I know I'm only 32 but to younger folks I realise that seems a world away, so I'm not offended at all! On the contrary, I embrace being a bit older in the queer community with both hands. If I can enhance someone's life by being that visible slightly older queer dude? Then that just makes me feel all warm n fuzzy.

You are always welcome here anon, as are any other younger queer folks who want to hang out with me in this weird little space we've carved out for ourselves. I love you <3

start by making a list of what you will need, and depending on your needs have someone review it with you (there are a lot of posts on things to pack for a move so there is that as well)

break down what you need to pack into steps to make it more manageable

KNOW WHERE YOU PACK YOUR STUFF, ESPECIALLY YOUR IMPORTANT ITEMS, so labeling boxes, having a separate bag/box for things like important documents. this will make everything easier to unpack for your future self

ik denk dat ik er echt goed aan zal doen om daadwerkelijk de pathologie in te gaan ipv een specialisme wat patiënten ziet. heb deze middag geen patiënten gezien en echt het VERSCHIL in mijn vermoeidheid en bereidheid tot menselijk contact, niet normaal. patiënt-contact an sich is fucking geweldig met alle types die langskomen (echt álle lagen en uithoeken van de maatschappij zie je voor je neus) en de verhalen die je hoort, maar het is de prijs die het vraagt van m'n persoonlijke leven gewoon niet waard, nog los van de onregelmatigheidsdiensten en lange werkdagen. ik zie het gewoon niet zitten om mijn hele sociale batterij te besteden aan werk en alle vrije momenten te moeten opladen.
