anybody else get knocked on their collective ass when splitting? the body is NOT happy about this. our brain is mush, we have no energy, we're grumpy and unmotivated ...

the stress alone was already a lot. but the resulting split(s) is/are putting us THROUGH IT

well it's certainly been a while since we were last online!

life has been hectic. we have some newer splits, a few dormancies ... and right now it's entirely possible we are splitting yet again.

not sure how consistent our activity will be but we are going to try!

we decided to fill out this system ask meme in full for fun! (we did remove a question or two.)

these answers are largely coming from the perspective of flutter 🌸 (the newest addition to our bunch, though not a recent split - just recently discovered/acknowledged)

🍎- what’s the one food that’s always instantly gone in your house?

tostitos hint of lime chips! also greek yogurt. we also like strawberries a lot.

🍐- what’s something you do to calm you down?

we listen to music, use sensory toys or go to angel's husband for help regulating. we'll also watch comfort shows/youtube/etc. all of this depends on the situation we're in and what tools are accessible to us. if it's really bad, we ask kat to front (as she's a soother) -- if it's a little melting down, we ask grove, as she's great with them.

🍊- what sort of language do you use when referring to yourself/your system? what’s your reasoning?

we typically use the "standard" terms, even if they were "coined by endos." so system, alter, fictive/factive/fuzztive. it's just what our brain reaches for. we do use the term "introject" to refer to all sorts of ... well, introjects!, but we classify them as fictives, etc. we've just never really enjoyed the alternatives ("fictroject", others). we've been tempted to move away from using "alter" as of late but we aren't sure which alternative term we want to use. we typically use we/us pronouns when discussing ourselves but will regularly slip in i/me depending on who's fronting.

🍌- what is a piece of misinformation always grinds your gears?

there's quite a few! but i'd say the most upsetting (apart from the obvious "endo/willos/etc are not systems, you need a cdd") is the idea that introjects must be identical to their source. heck, i formed before we even watched my source! -- i'm just from fan content and vibes. we've now begun consuming my source with angel's husband, and it's been really fun! but i feel like that's a great example of what we're talking about here.

🍉- what are your collective interests?

we have a list of these! but here's some: the last of us, disney, making playlists, epic: the musical, baking and deltarune/undertale ... and so much more!

🍋- what are your collective disinterests? (the dumber the better)

i'm not certain i can be honest about this answer without potentially hurting anyone reading this ... which i think would be really rude! we're allowed to dislike something without making people who like it feel badly about it, y'know? we know WE have interests that others really do not like ... so at that point, we think keeping such opinions private is better for the collective good. i know im probably taking this too seriously, so for the sake of "the dumber the better" portion ... hmm ... we all are triggered (misophonia-wise) by running/dripping water? we also don't really like most sports media, though we have some nostalgia for nascar (as we watched it with our dad when we were little).

🍇- do you have a big sweet tooth? who’s the worst of the bunch?

we have a decent one overall!, but too much makes us sick. we used to have a hiiiigh tolerance as a kid. luka is the "worst" when it comes to ALL things food, she's a vacuum ... but cain and one of our littles also contribute to most sweets-eating. dorian, too, as he gets overexcited.

🫐- does anybody have an unnatural hair color in the innerworld? any particular reasoning?

oh, several of us, including me. most are for source reasons. mine is pink, as i'm a fluttershy fivtive. dorian formed knowing he had rainbow hair ... which made it even funnier when he realized he was a fuzztive of rainbow dash. cain has red hair for, again, source reasons. katrina's the same story -- bright pink, source reasons. grove's is white ... not sure why!, it just definitely is. ink (a fictive we don't have them listed here) has dark hair dyed lots of colors. they're very artsy!

🍈- if you have any syskids in your system, what’s your favorite thing to do with them/their favorite thing to do?

i'm going to answer this question under the assumption that syskids means littles -- i'm sorry, i'm not super savvy on all the terms! we have two littles (that we know of) and one is dormant. even so, both he and our active little love coloring, playing with stuffies/toys and cuddles! our active little is very close with grove. they like to dance to whatever music is currently playing when fronting together.

🍒- do you have a favorite metaphor for systemhood? you don’t need to justify it, it can be silly <3

hehe, i think we make the "rats/etc in a trenchcoat" joke a lot.

🍑- what’s an awkward thing/situation you’ve switched into?

our little fronted at work once, when we clicked into a mobile game she likes. that was VERY awkward but thankfully she wasn't fronting alone and it was nearish the end of our shift, so we just kept her satisfied with the game (we work a desk job and it was a slow night) and were able to muscle through.

🥭- you can spawn one animal in your innerworld as a class pet, what would it be?

i think, jointly, we'd pick a cat ... but i'd like a bunny!

🍍- what’s one thing an alter/part loves, that another one hates?

we vary a lot in music tastes! sock + two other alters not listed here all love music with foley art (so like, metallic noises/static/etc ... i don't explain it well) and most of us do NOT enjoy that, it triggers our misophonia. we also vary in food tastes. angel prefers chicken, whereas a few other alters like burgers better. luka loves pizza rolls, while angel hates them, etc.

🥝- think of an alter/part, what’s something you love about them?

i love how authentic dorian is and how much he loves ... everything! he has so much enthusiasm. i also think our active little is absolutely precious. she's very sweet and always has something endearing to say/contribute.

🥥- which alter/part was the toughest nut to crack?

the first one angel made contact with (not listed here) and ford.

we apologize for disappearing! we're hoping to become active again soon -- but tl;dr, to avoid going into much detail, we're experiencing a small medical crisis.

in the meantime, we identified a new alter (one that formed a while ago, we think, but wasn't ready to be known) and learned more about a fragment. so that's good i suppose.

I think a system thing that fails to be represented is how difficult basic hygiene can be, simply because mirrors are so scary. it's hard to look at a reflection that isn't yours, acknowledge a body that isn't yours. it's very easy to skip out on things that most people consider easy, like showering or brushing your teeth or washing your face. it's tough, and it's valid to be freaked out by it. go easy on yourself
