The Snake Man and Laura’s first met scene is paralleled to Bellerir and Khun’s first met.

And we know that scene of The Snake Man and Laura is about The Snake Man met Laura and fell in love at first sight with her.

The Snake Man and Laura’s scene started with the Snake Man met Laura, then he saw her face and fell in love with her. And if we read the chapter where Bellerir and Khun met from the bottom to the top, we will see that these panels of both scene are formed similar to each other and from there we might understand what is really SIU’s intention and what Bellerir really felt at that moment he saw Khun.

The scene started with the Snake Man wanted to see Laura’s face, so he moved closer to see her. If we read the Bellerir’s scene from the bottom to the top, we will see that Bellerir did the same thing like the Snake Man. He called someone to lower the platform so he could see Khun’s face more clearly. The texts (and context) from the Snake Man’s scene are matched perfectly with the Bellerir’s scene.

Then we see both the panels of them looking up/down to Laura and Khun:

The angle of both scenes are similar, the only difference is that Laura is in a higher position even though she is not as strong and powerful as the Snake Man, it showed that she is the one who will take control in their relationship. Otherwise Khun, who is more weaker than Bellerir, and is in the lower position than him. It shows us the gap between them and tells us who will have more powers in their recent relationship. But We can see that because the Snake Man has fallen in love with Laura, she then has more power in their relationship than him, so this can be a foreshadowing that Khun will be the one who has more affection on Bellerir in their relationship later on. Then in the next panels, we see the Snake Man and Laura’s faces, which are similar to Bellerir and Khun’s scene, we see Khun and Bellerir’s faces up close:

Laura is beautiful and Khun looked confused but that does not matter, what matters is if we match the next panel, we will see how The Snake Man really felt when he saw Laura and it would possibly be the same to how Bellerir really felt at that moment he saw Khun:

Do you see that? Bellerir’s face? The text? The first time i saw his expression I was shocked. It wasn’t only because the “mew” thing but that I couldn’t believe SIU would do it that clear. The “mew” scene wasn’t just implied the sexual tension (which heavily showed us all in the season 3 theme), it was also implied a romantic subtext in it which was decided to be hide under the sexual thing by SIU to make Bellerir’s character felt “sick”. From what i get after seeing this parallel, the real hiding subtext is that Bellerir made that face isn’t because of Khun’s mew, he made that face because he saw Khun’s face and fall in love at first sight with him. And if we ignore the sexual tesion of whatever is that, Bellerir is just a nerd who wants to be like his father but doesn’t really know what to do. I think Gustang is just the same. I read somewhere that SIU said Gustang got into women and cigar just to show Blossom that he was fine without her (which he is not). It’s just their acts to hide their true feeling after all. And lastly, after that we saw both the Snake Man and Bellerir made up their mind, the Snake Man chose to help Laura protect her child, Bellerir chose to get Khun out of that prison (to another one, poor Khun):

Do i need to say something more? These panels are just formed the exact same way. It’s not even subtle anymore. If i flip one of them? Here we go:

They looks just the same. I don’t have anything more to say because it is pretty clear here. I wonder it will be easier to make people think some characters are sick/obsessed with someone than make people think that they are just in love?

Finally, I did this analysis is just because i want to write about some romantic subtexts in TOG - which always have been there in the story and show my admiration for SIU, who made those wonderful parallels and gave this story so much effort and love!Thank you for reading my Ted Talk!

all the times gon showed affection, interest, care and basically relied on killua

Did I search all the times Gon explicitively expressed his affection to Killua? Yes, yes I did. Do I regret it? No, no I don't.

I decided to choose the manga since it's what Togashi wrote. However, it is important to note that there are a lot of more times if we add both versions of the anime and the movies. In addition to this, I chose the most explicit times in which Gon expressed himself so there is no misunderstanding. (Though I do think it's basically the whole manga.)

This post is hella long and had to be divided into parts, so bear with me. This is just the beginning.

Hunter Exam arc

When they first met and Gon was impressed by Killua's trick.

2. Gon happy to be with Killua and to explore with him.

3. Gon's interest in Killua's family, and surprising Killua in the process.

4. Gon being impressed by Killua's technique, curious about it and expressing "Killua is an amazing guy."

5. Gon defending Killua against Illumi and seeing right through the situation.

6. Gon swearing to take Killua away from Illumi.

Zoldyck Family arc

7. Gon's refusal for the Zoldyck's intent on separating themselves from the rest of the world and more than ready to climb the wall if it is to reach Killua.

10. Gon accepts to train if it means he will reach Killua.

So, who all here plays tower of god new world? Idk much about the game other then the snippets of lore I've seen (bc I don't have the proper device to play it cries), but if there is something to be spoiled then be cautious! There will be spoilers in this post for the game, and minor spoilers for the webtoon if you squint.

So, let's start with this bit of lore from new world

Now, I'm not sure if this is 100% true, but if it IS, then omg do I have this wild theory. What I get from this is that the residents of the tower (regulars) are the ones being referred to as the small humans, and the big humans being the irregulars.

So what if Jahad, the family leaders, Arlene and V were sent inside? Like, it wasn't just about the adventure, they came in to tear the place down from the inside for their goddess.

But I also have a theory that the tower corrupts people, and that's why Jahad decided to lock the higher floors. Or in other words, no longer carry out their given mission. Originally I had wondered if there was something malicious on the higher floors and that's why Jahad had locked them, to keep this entity sealed away. But now I'm having second thoughts.

Honestly, this is such a big lore bomb and I REALLY hope it's true because that would make the story of tog so much more interesting.

Now, next I wanna talk about Rachel. Credit goes to Dr. Bonehead on youtube for this theory, I'm only sharing my thoughts on this. Let me know if y'all want a link to the video if you wanna watch.

The possibility that Rachel was from the outside of the tower didn't really cross my mind, but now, I can see it being possible. How would she know about the stars, or what life is like on the outside? Of course there's the possibility that she's heard stories from someone (possibly Arlene), but what if it's because she once lived outside? It would explain why she wants out of the tower so badly, because she just wants to go home. I've been coming around since getting back into the tog lore, but this theory is what finally made me crack and gain a soft spot for Rachel.

I also really like the idea of Rachel being Arlene's maid or someone that assisted her, because we still don't know why or how Rachel knows about Arlene, so this is a theory that has been stuck with me since watching that video.

What if Arlene really did force Rachel to look after Bam? I mean, Rachel clearly did not want that, so I can see that being a possibility.

Tower of god is just so interesting and I love the theories about the lore, so don't be afraid to share your thoughts with me!

I hope siu will start focusing on more interesting things after the marriage (*cough* harem *cough*) arc is over, like Jahad and the family leaders for example. I'm so interested in them and what they were like back then and what they're like now! I also really wanna see Khun Eduan 😭

Naver Endnote: Khun Aguero Agnis’ bloody battle for revenge

For this week’s afterwords, since we have a lot of Khun this chapter, here’s Khun brushing his teeth. I think I said a few times before that it’s hard to draw Khun. Although I got used to it so it’s easier, it’s still challenging. The eyes, the hair, all add up to make him one of the more difficult characters to draw. (Bam gets more difficult when his hair gets long hehe)

​This week.. we have a lot of fights happening at the same time. Since Khun was napping the entire previous arc, I want to show more of Khun fighting this chapter. Of course, since the future is too uncertain for any guarantees, but I do try hehe.

​Akryung uses Shinwonryu. Although the possibility of Akryung being an Irregular came up in S1, but whether he is really an irregular… that’s to be seen later. Since now that Bam can’t fight normal regulars anymore, we’ll see more “special” regulars like Akryung, Princesses, or Sorcerers.

Khun finally hits Michael. I was thinking whether to end it on that scene. It’s an extension of their relationship shown early S2, it’s not a relationship that non-veteran readers of Tower of God would care about too often, there’s a good chance people may have forgotten or not know about this relationship. (Nor is it the main topic for this arc).

But since this is a scenic continuation from S2, so I cut it there. He’s the mortal enemy of to Gyetang who is my favourite, so haha. [TN: Gyetang is the yellow chicken guy on Khun’s Team at the start of S2, name literally means chicken soup]

When I was on hiatus, it felt like my head was empty, but now things got busy as I started posting again, I have a lot of thoughts just a few chapters in. Everything in this world is like this, but Webtoon changes so quickly in unpredictable directions it seems. Since I’ve published as the author of Tower of God for a long time now,  at this point, the most important thing for me has become being able to publish it weekly without issue. Well, publishing itself is a series of changes and reservation, but I do try to be an author that tries to constantly improve himself. Although I am still pretty lacking, I will try to improve this year.

Naver Endnote: It’s like a surprise, right?

This week’s afterword picture is Rak and Khun. They don’t seem to get along well, but… Actually, they don’t have a good relationship. Haha. I’m kidding. They get closer through bickering… Now that I think of it, besides Bam, Khun actually gets along despite bickering with everyone. It’s probably due to his very strong ego.

This week we had a continuation of Bam’s fight.. Akryung seems to know something. He will show up again later. As the attendants of the Elder’s servants are starting to get involved the battle, and while the battle becomes more and more complicated, Bam’s punches are becoming stronger by the day. He can do this without the Thorn now.. 

Jordan kept up with the outside news from within the Cage, so he seemed to have high expectations for the Slayer Candidate. Please be on the lookout for how their relationship progresses in this battle.

Khun’s side of the battle… Doesn’t look like Paul came in with all the information. Paul’s movement wasn’t really teleportation. There needs to be a vague coordinate set up in the first place, and an animal to behave as a receiver must be there.

​And the Michael’s laughter at the end (…) personally… I love writing these kinds of characters. If you write them doing something like a psycho, it actually looks plausible (..)

Anyway Khun who just got revived is about to die again… Khun don’t do it. You know how hard the other kids worked to try and save you. What will become of Khun’s fate….

The weather is becoming hotter these days, In such weather, my energy recovery becomes slower, making it harder to work. I eat this and that while working, but I lack exercise and sit for long hours ^^; also I get stressed easily both during work or outside of work, so it’s not easy during the summer. But as all my kiddos risk their lives fighting in the Tower, I don’t think it’s right for me to live such a comfortable life, or is that not how it works haha. It does concern me, and that can’t be helped.

​I was working outside and I saw students studying, and they were all working on their projects hard, so that somehow motivated me to work harder too. I know there are hard moments for everyone, but keep fighting!

AINT NO FUCKING WAY THE GAME JUST DROPS THIS LORE BOMB

So utter shock aside, let’s actually analyze this. There’s a brother and sister god (or at least ones with god like power) and each make a species of humans. The son created smaller but more tenacious humans while the sister made bigger, stronger, but pacifistic humans. When the smaller ones complained, the son gave them gods’ powers and then they built a structure for themselves to live in. The daughter became mad and gave her humans a book of prophecies and told them to punish the smaller humans who thought they could act like gods.

So obviously, the smaller humans are the Tower Residents and the powers given to them is the ability to control Shinsu. The people outside are the Irregulars, who occasionally come into the tower and wreak havoc.

The female god may be the God on the Outside and the book of prophecies may hold the tale of Bam (and possibly Icarus.) Enryu may be one of her loyal followers and entered the Tower to enforce the prophecy she wrote.

As for the son, I think it might be Phantaminum. We know from SIU’s blogposts that Axis’s are basically gods, having the power of storytelling, and that Phantaminum is the Axis in control of the Tower’s world. Maybe his storming of Jahad’s palace was to strike back against his sister’s creations who looked to punish his own.

To be honest, my head is spinning because of this sudden out of nowhere lore drop, and since this game was made with SIU’s involvement, it might be 100% true. I’d love to hear what you guys have to say cause this is absolutely crazy to me

So are we all just gonna forget the fact that Khun directly compared his (and Rak’s) relationship with Bam to Cha and Dowon’s relationship, which is canonically romantic in nature?

Bam's background story is quite interesting so far, but there's still more to it. Garam said she didn't tell Bam everything she knows when they met on the Floor of Death:

So there's still a missing part she couldn't tell him. It's pretty obvious that Bam will learn the missing part of the story in the future. But how? Two characters play a key role in this: Rachel and Khun. Remember the bet they made during the Dallar Show?

Rachel promised to tell Khun about Bam's past if he won the bet, which he did. She didn't tell him anything though. Rachel's not the person to hold promises, but why having having her promising especially this? Because it's still important.

Rachel isn't a random character who found Bam in the cave, no. We don't only know that she knows Arlene, we also know that they had some kind of relationship. Rachel heard Arlene talking about Bam. Multiple times as it's hinted by the 'always'.

She directly told Bam that she knows his past before the last station. However, she has zero reasons to actually tell Bam. Right now, it's her only insurance that no matter what she does, Bam won't kill her. But the bet with Khun is the reason she'll tell it. Those two have such an interesting dynamic (I can't wait for them to meet again) and I'm sure Khun is going to find a way to remind her of the bet and actually makes her keeping her promise.

I don't think Bam is the first one to hear the story. Whatever it is, it's shocking. Shocking to that point where nobody has told him. It's propably part of the reason why Arlene called Bam a monster (I might do another theory about that). I think Rachel is going to tell the story only to Khun. And the bet will be important for that.

So we always had Rachel vs Khun, but what about Bam vs Maria
