Chapter 1 - Screw up

Authors note - sorry if this felt rushed I just wanted to get back on track with the posting, happy late new years, happy late Christmas ❤️

“How could you be so stupid, Y/N?, Do you not understand how much we've had to do to put you in that school?!” You sat there as you barely listened to your dad scream at you without breaking his contact with the long dirt road. You sat in that car for 5 hours getting yelled at every 20 minutes. You didn't mean it, you were desperate.

“Plagiarism, huh out of all the damn things,...” your father had said scoffing as he stopped at thread light

You didn't know how to tell your parents that shit would've hit the fan if you failed that test, it was only a few answers, you didn't know that the school was that strict.

Your parents had worked hard for as long as you knew, trying to get you to be successful so you could take care of them too. You didn't want to disappoint them so you just looked at a few rough questions that's it. In fact if that one guy didn't catch you, you wouldn't be in this situation now.

After your parents found out they pushed you and all your things into the car and that's how you wonded up here

Finally

The car came to a full stop.

You didn't know where you were, but you didn't like it. It wasn't what you were used to. It was a small town, kinda like the ones you'd see in a show about teens in the 80’s, the type of town where everyone knew each other and their business. The stores were close together and decorated, they were cute though, someplace called Hwang florist had painted flowers over the windows the main one being a van Gogh painting you recognized the one with sunflowers, next to the florist was a small little library, and two stores down was ‘Bang convonvience’. It was a small brown quiet store with another story on top of it. Your dad had stopped right in front of the store and told you to wait in the car. Now you are with your mother.

“Y/N, I'm so sorry, but… you have to understand, there's a good school down here for you… you'll love it here, I grew up around here” your mother said as she tried to fake a slight smile.

“We’re moving here?” You asked surprisingly, this was way to far from where you used to live

“I'm so sorry, but with money, we won't be able to move here, but you'll be staying here. Your father just wanted to drop you off at a farther city, but my old friend lives here, so you'll be staying with her”

You were in disbelief. Your parents were just going to give up on you like that? They were going to drop you off with some random woman for cheating? In the heat of the moment you protested in the only way you could, you cried.

No amount of crying stopped your father from pulling you out of the car and driving you off at the entrance of the store. You were devastated, so devastated that your parents asked a store worker to bring in your things and put them upstairs.

Your parents didn't even say goodbye and about time you were finished crying, they were gone.

“I'm so sorry about how we're meeting and all but, I'm glad you're here, im mrs. Bahng” the woman said, she looked young and calming when you looked at her.

You barely managed to choke out a introduction, but she welcomed you regardless and showed you the second floor, where you'd be staying

Later that night, as you lay in bed, sleep refused to come. You didn't eat what was offered. The silence around you was unsettling and unfamiliar, broken only by the occasional sound of footsteps drifting up from the floor below. You thought of your parents and of home, you thought about yourself and that's when you cried again.

Finally, unable to lie still any longer, you sat up and glanced at the clock on the nightstand. It was late, but you decided to go downstairs, hoping maybe a drink from the store might calm you down.

As you quietly walked down the stairs, you saw a figure moving around the shop, stacking items on shelves and turning off lights. He hadn’t noticed you yet, so you paused, taking in the scene. The boy looked about your age, with messy dark hair that fell slightly over his eyes as he focused on his work. He wore an old band t-shirt and looked relaxed, humming softly to himself as he went about.

Suddenly, he glanced up and noticed you standing on the bottom step. He blinked, surprised, but then a small, friendly grin crept onto his face.

“You must be the guest, sorry I didn't get to talk to you much,” he said, setting down the box he was holding. “I’m Chris”

“Yeah… i’m Y/N,” you replied weakly, throat still sore, feeling a little self-conscious as you walked closer.

Chris gave a sympathetic nod. “Rough first day, huh?”

You nodded, a bit embarrassed, unsure of how much he knew about the situation. But there was a warmth in his gaze that made you feel a bit more at ease. He seemed to sense the awkwardness and gave a lighthearted shrug, gesturing to the shelves around him.

“Well, this place is as thrilling as it looks. Welcome though. It might not be the most exciting place, but there are some good things here.”

You managed a small smile at his attempt to lighten the mood. His energy was calming, even in the quiet shop. He looked at you for a moment, as though debating something, then gave a slight nod.

“Hey,” he said, his voice softer now, “if you ever need anything, just… you know, let me know. It’s not easy, new place and all.”

You nodded, appreciating the kindness.

“Thanks,” you murmured.

With that, Chris gave you a small bag of chips and a soda and went back to work and you turned and headed back upstairs.

I just needed some help with my Christmas series and I don't know which member to write for (thinking about bangchan but idk)

The Quarry x Stray kids Au

based on the game 'the quarry', I highly recommend it, It's such a cool concept and story. Just an intro will be a full story.

Characters

Chan

• Born to be the cool band teacher, forced to be the Supervisor and organizer of the Jype Quarry and summer camp

• a personal favorite of the camps owner

• without a doubt going to be the most missed counselor after summer is over

Lee know

• head of cooking class and helps out in the kitchen

• the kids are both scared of him and love to mess with him

• fist day of camp, kids locked him in his cabin (he almost quit and went home)

• kids aren't to big on his cooking class but they do enjoy eating

• tbh summer camp wasn't all that exciting to him

• scared to death of the possibility of bears in the camp

• camp mascot, Maize the cat, sleeps In his cabin

Changbin

• gym instructor, in charge of most camp activities

• High energy and always encouraging kids to push the selves

• first day of the job he was almost registered as a camper

• One of the counselors the kids were scared of the first day but quickly became the goofy fan favorite

• for some reason he was never in his cabin at night, if he wasn't doing anything with the other counselors he was just doing random things

Hyunjin

• Art teacher

• mainly does small crafts like pinecone bird houses, etc

• does majority of the designs for camp

• luckily for him he only actually has to do work once a week

• the first choice for campers to come to if they need something

• extremely trustworthy, funny, but still strict

• next to changbin, he's the only counselor the kids listen to

Han

• in charge of camp announcements, music, technical support

• practically hides from the kids

• they always find him though

• got in trouble one time for leaving his radio hut unlocked and someone stole the movie projector

• cried his first week at camp, mainly because he was supposed to aid Lee knows cooking class but got overwhelmed, so Chan moved him to announcements and radio duty so he won't actually have to interact with kids

Felix

• is he even a counselor tbh?

• just showed up a week late for the job and was assigned to be a fill in and assistant to anyone who needed him

• kinda just hangs around, he's practically one of the campers

• most hardest part of his summer was losing a kid he was in charge of on one of changbins hikes

• he promised to never join that class again

Seungmin

• supervisors assistant

• takes his job seriously half the time

• the only time he doesn't is when a camper says he's not really necessary

• just look at him wrong and he's like 'im not doing this anymore just to get disrespected'

• honestly just the embodiment of 'old man yells at cloud'

• honestly he was ready to go home after the first two weeks, but then realized he lived really far away

• longest 2 months of his life and he won't do it again

Jeongin

• head swim couch, main life guard when it's a camp beach day

• he had signed up to be the art teacher but since the position was filled he settled for swimming

• always has at least 3 assistants with him, there is no one way he's teaching all those kids by himself

• tbh wishes he showed up late like Felix to get a lucky job

• the campers won't let him breathe. Always makes fun of him and Lee know

• everyone feels bad for him because he always has the most complaints from parents, he really doesn't understand what he did wrong honestly

It's finally here

You felt like you waited years for this. You were practically getting ready to jump up and scream when the cashier scanned and bagged your new game "New California". This game has been everywhere except in your hands for months, you had heard nothing bad about the game. Your gammer heart wanted it the moment you looked at the insane graphics but you basically learned for it after you read the wiki for the plot, the game revolved around a young Mafia boss, overcoming rivals, assassins, and convictions, all in order to build his new California.

You snapped back into reality with the help of the cashier. You paid him and in such a good mood told him to keep the change.

Once you got home you bathed, ate, and changed your clothes, but not of course to go to bed, but to spend (what you hoped to be) a few hours playung your new game. You unpacked it, places in the disc, and finally you joyfully listened to the opening theme. You had to admit it wasnt your favorite as it was a little to upbeat than what you had heard about the game.

You signed in and clicked start, but you didn't enter the game without checking your settings first; Graphics - uncensored, realistic reactions - On, Sound - On. 'Realistic reactions?' you thought, you don't recallel ever seeing this setting but then you quickly brushed it off by thing it had something to do with the characters reaction time.

You were in. Finally. For the first few minutes you sat through the backstory of the main character, Jeongin. As a child he was left in an orphanage and then later adopted by someone with ties to the Mafia, after marrying the dons daughter and getting rid of her and her father he became the head of the family, he talks several times in his dialogue about how he wants to change California for the sake of all others that were in his situation, lost and desperate for the love they lack. And you could say that honestly his backstory didn't excite you in the slightest, it all just sounded like a ramble.

After the long dialogue you were put on your first mission. In this particular cut scene detailing the mission, Jeongin had been programmed to stare at the monster screen for a certain anount of time to boost the illusion of him being real. After talking on his phone he had his eye and glared at the monitor. However you couldn't tell if it was the realistic reactions setting or not but you could have sworn he was looking directly into your eyes, and in a way that didn't seem programed, the conversation he just had had left him upset and tense, but in his eyes he almosted looked calm.

You thought it was weird to say the least but you didn't mind it.

Things just kept getting stranger in the actual play through. At times Jeongin would go off course or he would just refuse his missions several times. Weirdest of all were the catchphrases, he would say things like "you'll be mine soon enough" "You won't be able to resist". You tried to brush this off as planned or just as a glitch, after all your mission was to collect the money the local deli owed.

After awhile you decided to go to bed, but not without pausing the game. After you did your attention immediately drawn to the the pause screen, it was him. The screen showed Jeongin sitting at a wide desk, every couple of minutes he said a random phrase. You would be lying if you said you didn't find it cool, so cool in fact that you kept the monitor on all night, the coviently placed monitor that sat right across from your bed.

While you slept away, Jeongin, as alive as hell ever be, watched. He had been stuck in this world for way to long he thought. He couldn't help but walk of screen to grab his charging phone and snap a photo. How could he be in love with you it's only been a day. As the night progresses Jeongin constantly mumbles to himself about how he can't wait to get into the real world, to finally be with his love once more. He smiles to himself as he watches, he breaks his smile briefly to look at the photo of his now deceased wife, the one who looks exactly like you, the one who he was now convinced must have escaped from him into this world. Just as fast as he noticed it he slammed the frame and the photo on the desk faced down.

Lee know - Mayors' Son

• Rich douche bag (it's an act I swear stay with me now)

• his family's been in this town longer than anyone, and for some reason the last 3 mayors have been relatives

• honestly thinks this town doesn't do him any justice

• should be protecting his reputation (he doesn't give even half a damn)

Changbin - Manny McManface

• son of the local sheriff (don't know if this is a good thing or bad)

• brought up to be the best damn QB out there, but he ended up doing wrestling and spending most of his weekends with felix

• stress on 100, he's got expectations to meet and he doesn't know where to start

• sweetest person here (next to Felix)

• biggest protective older brother energy

Hyunjin - Vincent Van Hwang

• parents aren't really that big in town (there the local florist) but trust hyunjin is well known for the wrong things

• if he's not at school, he's either at his one of two jobs; delivery boy for his parents, or at his cashier job at the only fast food place in town (an off brand McDonald's called tastywing)

• working hard for his parents

• gets in the most trouble out of literally anyone in town (if it weren't for his parents relations with Sheriff Seo he'd honestly be screwed)

• people literally love his talent for art, but the majority hate him. You'll either hear "Van Gogh" or "Man go"

Han jisung - Local Loser

• working day and night like a dog at the local library just so he can afford a guitar

• aspiring rock star plays literally ever festival

• literally goes up to people hitting them with "you look like you got potential"

• always seems to be free

• doesn't get out much

Felix - That one guy

• the most likable person you'll ever meet, it's almost concerning

• part time model who's out of town often, but when he's there it's a sunny day

• has to work at tastywing just to make ends meet

• he's so sweet you couldn't even tell he's dated half the girls in town

Suengmin - dog washer

• lives alone (not really, his parents are always away)

• he either has nothing planned at all and just sits around or he's busy with the most random shit

• he works at a dog grooming place, but you swear you never see him there

• hardly works but is always dressed head to toe in designer

• has the biggest house in town, and with his schedule always doing something in said house

Jeongin - Pastor's Son

• His parents own the one church in town

• if you meet him on a Saturday you wouldn't even think he had a holy bone in his body, until you go to church that Sunday and hear him recite scriptures to the congregation

• if hyunjins not doing anything stupid, you can count on Jeongin to do something to keep it interesting

• do not be fooled at all, no matter how he acts trust and Believe he's never even been alone with a girl for more than five seconds, he just acts bold in front of others

Yandere!hyunjin

• Yandere!hyunjin would definitely fall in love with you after seeing you in any type of store. Def takes a picture of you and starts searching you up online. He'd probably be the person to pay a public records website for your info

• before acting out on anything yandere!hyunjin would definitely find out what school you go to where you work etc just to follow you home after

• after about a couple of months of him stalking you things around your house would go missing. First it's just things like clothes, notebooks, pencils, you didn't think much of it until your laptop went missing

• when yandere!hyunjin feels comfortable enough hell start doing things like watching you sleep from under your bed or going to your refrigerator and drinking out of your milk jug (just so you can drink after him)

• It'll take a couple of months for yandere!hyunjin to kidnap you. But he won't kidnap you in your sleep, he got you walking home from school. He managed to take you into his car and when he got half way to his location he switched cars to avoid detection 

• yandere!hyunjin would definitely buy a house just for you two. 

• when you get to his house your put in the basement for a day or two. After that he'll take you out and bathe, feed, and cloth you (but you can't do any of this by yourself). After that he handcuffs you to the living room couches leg and he puts on some boring talk show. he's not even paying attention to the tv, he's thinking about you and life, he thinks about how soon you'll love him just as much, he thinks about coming home from work and seeing your beautiful face greet him the moment he walks in, he thinks about how you'll lead him to the table and sit him down, he thinks about you serving your 4 kids first before him, he thinks about how it was all worth it

• At night the stranger pulls you to your shared room, but you don't share a bed, not yet at least, he has you on a plan mattress on the floor next to him.

• if you have to get up in the middle of the night for the bathroom, he won't let you go yourself he has to take you

• If you don't try to escape or defy him, he'll get you anything you want or do anything as long as it's reasonable. You've been good and you want chicken? He gets it for you no questions asked, you want to go to the store? Sure but you and him can't be out long, he's still skeptical even though he moved you 3 cities over.

• however when you do misbehave, I definitely see his punishments either being like a solitary confinement type thing. By this I mean he puts you in white clothes, in a plain white room, and gives you plain white foods. Or he would also just throw you back in the basement.

• yandere!hyunjin doesn't care if it takes you a while to love him and he doesn't care if you ever do honestly, as long as he's in love he's happy
