I translated a short branded film featuring two Japanese artists, SENSE and TADAOMI SHIBUYA.

I translated a memoir of Tiffany Haddish, “The Last Black Unicorn” into Japanese. I pitched a proposal to a publisher in Tokyo to translate the comedian’s hilarious and motivating book for Japanese readers. This is my first time ever to work on a book. It was my dream project and I had the best time working on this.

コメディアン、ティファニー・ハディッシュ の自伝、”The Last Black Unicorn”の日本語版『すべての涙を笑いに変える黒いユニコーン伝説』の日本語訳を担当しました。書籍翻訳の企画を持ち込むことも、丸々一冊翻訳することも初めての体験でしたが、人生でこんなに楽しめた仕事はなかったかも。

トレイルランナー、ディラン・ボウマンのインタビューを翻訳しました。収録された音声の文字起こしを日本語訳したものが字幕として使われています。

I worked on the Japanese subtitles for this interview video of a professional trail runner, Dylan Bowman for The North Face. I transcribed the audio file of the interview and provided Japanese translation for each sentence he spoke. The editor then used the text to create the subtitles.

I worked as a coordinator and interpreter for an article in VOGUE JAPAN August issue. We’ve interviewed Yoyo Cao, Asia’s top fashion icon here in Singapore.

I worked as a production coordinator for the resort collection page for United Arrows Online Store. I was in charge of compiling potential shoot locations, searching and booking professional models, administrating the budget and shooting schedule, booking transportations, and most importantly, preparing yummy catering for the talented Japanese crew!

プロダクションコーディーネートを担当したユナイテッド・アローズのリゾートコレクションページがアップされました。シンガポールでの撮影候補地の選定、各撮影許可の取得、ロケバスなどの車の手配、スケジュールおよび予算管理、通訳翻訳、そして東京からお越しの才能ある撮影チームのために、各撮影場所で一番オススメのローカル飯およびケータリングを手配しました。

I’ve worked as a coordinator for this article about a Japanese brand, United Arrows showcasing a part of their collection exclusively at The Monocle Shop in Singapore. As we were shooting photos at the shop, we’ve seen several customers walking into the store, asking if United Arrows merchandise have already arrived... It’s amazing to see the local customers get excited about the popular Japanese brand!

ユナイテッド・アローズがシンガポールのThe Monocle Shopにてポップアップショップを開催。こちらの記事のコーディネーターを担当しました。取材中にもシンガポール人のお客様たちが「ユナイテッド・アローズの商品ってもう入ってきてますか？」っていう感じで入店してきて、人気ブランドの影響力の強さを実感しました。

I have coordinated a one-day tour for the visitors from TRUNK(HOTEL), a super stylish, creative hotel built in Shibuya in 2017.

I greeted the team at the airport after their red-eye flight from Tokyo and brought them to a yummy early morning breakfast. We’ve visited some places that are not usually open to the public. I really enjoyed my time with the amazing team from TRUNK(HOTEL), they are one of those people who are open to try new food and share plates with one another.

AND super congratulations TRUNK(HOTEL) for winning the New Concept Award and the Fourth Place in Hotel of the Year at AHEAD Asia 2018!!

２０１７年にオープンし、海外でも大変話題になっている渋谷のTRUNK(HOTEL)から、アワード受賞のためにシンガポールにいらっしゃったチームの皆様のシンガポール1日ツアーをコーディネートさせていただきました。東京からの深夜便でのご到着後、空港にてご挨拶し、そのまま車で移動。早朝から美味しいコーヒーの飲めるお店で朝ごはんの後、ホテルチェックインの午後２時まで、国内の視察を行いました。食べたことのないモノでも、どんどんチャレンジして、美味しい！と言いながらみんなでシェアして食べるタイプの方々で、素晴らしいチームだなぁと思うと同時に、わたし自身とても楽しい時間を過ごしてしまいました。

I worked on the English subtitles for Channel News Asia’s program titled, Maverick Politicians. I was involved from the early stage of editing, providing rough translations for various video clips. 

小池百合子東京都知事についてのドキュメンタリー番組、Maverick Politiciansの英語字幕を担当しました。映像編集の初期段階から関わらせていただき、様々な映像のおおまかな翻訳を行い、その後最終版の映像に英語字幕を付ける、という作業の流れでした。

I have written an article for Bite!Japan, a website dedicated to Japanese cuisine in Singapore, about what’s in season in Japan right now and where to try the seasonal delicacy here in Singapore.

シンガポールのオンラインメディアの日本食専門サイト、Bite!Japanにて、シンガポール国内で楽しめる日本の春の食材について寄稿しました。日本語で取材し、英語で書いています。

I’ve been working as a freelance project manager for Bite! Japan, a website dedicated to Japanese food. I’m in charge of communicating with restaurants to book for interview/photoshoot and coordinate the schedule for writers and photographers.

Japanese mom bloggers

I worked on a project for a UK based blogger agency called The Blogger Programme. I was in charge of researching/identifying twelve Japanese mommy bloggers that would fit for their client’s brand identity. I have communicated and negotiated with each blogger, and assisted them in the branded posts.

イギリスを拠点とするブロガーエージェンシー、The Blogger Programmeの世界的なプロジェクトの日本担当として、クライアント社のブランドアイデンティティーに合った日本人ママブロガー１２名を選定。各ブロガー本人との交渉、コミュニケーションの仲介を行い、SNSへのポストのサポートを行いました。
