Spending time at home creates moments of re-learning about my past so I can then pass on our history to my children. It is important to me. Sitting on the chair is Marcos Hewitt Lamb, my Great Great Grandfather (paternal), Born in 1843 in London, England and died 1920 in San Patricio, TX. That little boy standing on the right is my Great Grandfather, Marcos Lamb Garcia, born on October 24th, 1906 in Jim Wells County, TX and Died in 1990. I have so much more and it is crazy the history we all have. *Off-topic- (It makes me cringe when people say go back to where you came from bc the majority of us come from all over the world.) Anyhow, I know it is irrelevant to most but I love seeing/hearing about the backgrounds of others. The roots of others. I’d love to learn about your history. Getting old is tough if you let your mind take you there. It is easy to go down that path but I have found that getting out of my comfort zone and learning from people who are where I want to be have really pushed me to work towards more. It isn’t easy but it is great to stay on your toes and simply live from within yourself. Two things I’m working on now: 1⃣. Choosing to go Gray! 😮 has been scary but I’m taking it one day at a time and loving my new found headband craze ;) I love how they help the process. 2⃣. Working my own business no matter how scary it might be. It has truly made me more confident. I have big goals and dreams and why not? I’ve constantly told myself I’m not good enough and that my dreams aren’t that important bc I’m not worthy. Why do we do that to ourselves? If you are like me and have had those thoughts over and over again, find a way to get out of that head space. We all can do what we desire. So what if I am told no a thousand times? That just means I have more opportunities for someone to say YES! Well, this is me, no matter the season and the changes in my hair 😂, and lake of makeup 💄, I try remain the true essence of myself as I fight to evolve into the woman God intended me to be. I am fighting hard to be better and do better and most importantly, I am fighting to do things I’ve never done before. I’ve been a teacher for many years and it is all I’ve known. This year, I finally decided to go WAY out of my comfort zone and work an online marketing business promoting products that I use. 🤩 😳 Never ever did I have a desire to do this but after seeing my friend succeed, and her friends succeed, I finally told myself...why not me? Why can't I have what I want in life? Why do I have to think my dreams aren’t worthy? 2⃣ years after being asked repeatedly by my dear friend, I finally jumped in and boy am I glad I did. 😃 Don’t get me wrong, I still struggle with confidence but since joining my 🦏 tribe, I feel like I can believe in myself way more than I ever did before. It is amazing what a group of supportive women can do for each other! I have dreams and I really want to accomplish them. If you want to start living with out fear and simply jump in, My tribe is here to help you along the way.
