Hello! I wasn’t sure if you meant all setters or the pretty setter squad so I just wrote for the first setters that came to mind hh. For some reason the headcanons just flowed when it came to these 3 setters. So if I forgot someone you wanted me to write about please don’t be afraid to send an another request!

Kageyama

I can actually see him wanting to learn his s/o language. 

Because now he actually has a good reason to learn a new language – unlike with English (unless that’s his s/o mother tongue) that he claims to suck at memorizing. 

Being able to speak his s/o mother tongue is a motivator in itself.  

Both of you will randomly teach each other words in your respective language. 

Like the two of you could be taking a walk and you’d see something on the streets.

And one of you would just randomly tell the other what it is in your own language.

You always found it fascinating when he explained to you about Japanese traditions and foods.

Which in turn led to you talking about common foods and traditions from your own country. 

Which Kageyama, just like you, finds absolutely fascinating. 

He will eat anything you feed him because he wants to get to know your culture and food is always a good way to go.

Oikawa

Would be a hoarder. 

Like whenever the two of you visit your home country he’d just buy everything that is not available in Japan.

To be honest, he would even buy things that are available in Japan, just because it’s in his s/o country.  

I can see him quickly bonding with his s/o family even if they don’t speak the same language. 

First thing he’d learn how to say in your language would be I love you – just so he can shock you with it during your conversations later.  

If his s/o doesn’t speak Japanese I can definitely see him teach you handy Japanese phrases you will need. 

Atsumu

Will also teach his s/o some handy Japanese sentences, if they do not speak it.

..But he will not let this opportunity slip by and lie to you about what the meaning of words really are. 

Like he will tell you that the word for ear is mouth and so on.

He can’t help it he finds it cute and hilarious at the same time.

Friendly reminder that Atsumu is from the Kansai region, so the words he teaches you will be in that dialect.

Is not afraid to use google translate during fights if his s/o speaks to him in their own language. 

Both of you will teach each other cuss words in your mother tongue. 

..Or words that are completely useless in daily life.  

If you happen to mispronounce anything, he will literally die over how cute you sound.

How would the captains react to their s/o having very intense eyes?? I’ve been told that so many times and idk I feel self conscious about it sometimes

Sorry for taking so long to answer this request. All in all I don’t think any of the captains would mind. Anon your eyes are beautiful the way they are! (Unnecessary side note no one asked for: Personally think intense eyes are wonderful, imo it makes the person comes across as someone who is very honest.) So If someone tells you that, it doesn’t necessarily have to mean it’s a bad thing! Have a good day :)

Oikawa:

Is already neutralized to it through Iwaizumi.  

To be honest you kinda reminded him of his childhood friend when he first laid his eyes on you.  

It may not sound like a compliment but it is. Your eyes made him feel like home, like he was already acquainted with you.  

In the beginning, it made him think at first that you didn’t reciprocate his feelings.  

In conclusion it doesn’t bother him at all. His partner is the best~☆  

He does love it when you smile though, to the point where he wants to hide you so only he can see it.  

 Kuroo:

I feel like Kuroo is the one who would care the least out of the four.  

He himself has eyes that makes him appear quite intimidating and even sly. 

His eyes makes it borderline look like he’s mocking, although that’s (sometimes) not his intention. 

So he’s well aware that whatever the exterior shows is usually not the case. 

He thought they were noticeable and was one of the first things that drew him to you. 

Like he really really REALLY likes your eyes.  

They’re unique according to him.   

Will not stop complimenting you for them whenever the two of you cuddle. 

The two of you could just lay in the couch together and the moment you’d look up at his face, he’d just ooze you with compliments.   

Bokuto:

He’s never really thought anything of it – I don’t think he would’ve even noticed to be honest.  

He barely pays any attention to the looks his opponents gives him – and that says a lot since his opponents usually have hostile intent.   

For real Bokuto even treats his rivals as his friends so he really wouldn’t mind nor misunderstand.  

I mean Akaashi, his close friend wears a poker face most of the time – he’s aware that’s just how he is and wouldn’t want him to change.  

Same thing goes for you, his s/o. He wouldn’t want you to change a thing. He likes you for who you are.   

If you would open up as your relationship progresses that this is an insecurity of yours – he would reassure you on how beautiful they are.   

He always thought your eyes were the most beautiful part of you anyways.  

In his opinion they’re so honest.  

Daichi:

Out of the four I think he might be the one that would actually misunderstand.  

At first he thought that he might have done something to you.   

Which made him feel like he was on the court meeting an opponent.   

However this made him start paying more attention to you at school. 

He found you so intriguing and wanted to know more.  

After a couple of days, he noticed it’s just the way you look at everyone.   

He felt bad for assuming the worst, especially after seeing how kind you were.  

Although he now knows it’s not him who has done anything – he can’t stop following you with his eyes.   

It wasn’t until weeks later, when Suga pointed it out, he realised he had fallen for you.   

Ushijima:

Ushijima himself has very intense eyes.  

It’s not something he’s been thinking of though and it’s not something he thought you had payed attention to either.  

When the two of you first met you stood out in the crowd since you didn’t shy away like the rest does.   

He thought you looked strong.  

It’s one of the things that made him interested in someone for once. (That wasn’t volleyball related.)   

He’s very straightforward, so if you would tell him about it being an insecurity he would flat out ask you “Why? They’re beautiful though?” with a straight face.

so anyone who has read my bio for the last couple of days knows that I’ve been gone on vacation. school is starting next week too and I’ve also been starting to feel very slow and energyless as of late — so I might be going through the requests at a lower pace than I did before the vacation🥺

Would be able to get something about oikawa in glasses and his so fawning over him because four eyed oiks is peak adorable ~~~~~ thank you!

Omg.. Oikawa in his glasses is just too powerful. I don’t know if he only used them as a disguise since we have never seen him wear them otherwise. But in this imagine I will be writing as if he actually needs it.

It had been three months into your relationship when you first saw him with his glasses on. 

You were shocked to your core since you had never seen him wear it before and hadn't even known he needed it. 

Oikawa just casually strode in with them and you could not stop thinking; since when?! 

Needles to say — he looked super adorable in them.  

If anything before hadn’t transformed you into his own personal fan then this had done the job. 

It’s like a reverse superman — he transforms when he puts the glasses back on.  

You can’t stop pointing out how cute he looks throughout the entire date. 

Which makes him a bit embarrassed since he’s been wearing lenses all this time due to his own insecurity.  

He had always heard people tell him since he was young that he would look way better without glasses. 

So having someone literally die over him wearing them was the last thing he had expected.  

But he liked it. 

Especially since it’s you who likes it. 

It made him feel very warm inside. 

From that point onwards you saw him wear his glasses way more often. 

Would still show up in his lenses from time to time. 

Most of the times he will wear them due to the fact that your disappointed pouting face was just too cute ~☆  

In conclusion he appreciates your support a lot.
