yeah honestly I can’t think of an explanation for Happy’s behavior in that scene at the end of homecoming that ISNT him being completely aware that Tony is going to jump Peter the second they’re alone lol. I have no idea why he’d be so reluctant to leave and giving Tony those looks if he just figured Tony only wanted to get an innocent “I’m sorry and proud of you kid” dad speech.

other highlights of that scene for me are Tony looking super smug as he offers Peter the iron spider suit (his “yeahhh give that a look” and his little satisfied smirk as he watches Peter’s reaction, he wants to be this twink’s sugar daddy so bad omg), the way he’s completely thrown when Peter turns him down, how unsure but intrigued it makes him (he literally bounces on the sides of his feet, it’s so cute, Peter has this genius billionaire superhero basically blushing giggling kicking his feet), and then the lip licking as he watches Peter walk away of course.

I don’t understand the acting choices in this scene if they weren’t going for some intentional subtext here tbh

It’s probably one of the most tangible Starker scenes in the entire MCU.

I also like to imagine that the reason Tony was so distant with Peter during Homecoming was because he knew he’d end up with the kid in his bed if he got close to him. It was his attempt to “be good”, but in the end he was just like *fuck it* because the kid’s been so desperate to please him, he deserves Tony to give him the night of his life for it.

♥︎Starker HOUSE MD AU♥︎ this is so low effort/quality but ever since i started watching house MD i've just pictured early seasons!Cameron as Peter and House as Tony (Cuddy as Pepper obviously lol) so this AU has been floating in my head for a couple days...

Starker + House MD: Peter, Bucky and Rhodey as Tony's team, Tony wouldn't've selected Bucky but Steve (Wilson stand-in) had pushed him for it.

Peter, who's excited for his first ever date- he actually tries to look presentable, and he spends all weekend ecstatic and giddy over the planned event. Only to get stood up by his boyfriend on the day.

Tony, who sees Peter on the sidewalk dragging himself back home. He pities the kid- feels bad for him. He knows Peter will worry over this for the next week or two, and the teen looks disappointed. And so Tony takes Peter out on that planned date, just to cheer him up. Giving the kid all the things he should've gotten today from his actual boyfriend. (subtly trying to worm my way into Starker Tumblr...)

made a moodboard to go with my Autocorrect fic verse:

Peter's starkphone autocorrect accidentally says the quiet part out loud for him... and Tony decides to take him up on the offer.

Tony wakes up with Peter in his bed and tells himself he doesn't have any particular feelings about this at all. Because compartmentalization has worked so well for him in the past...

Just thinking about Peter doing that viral TikTok trend — calling your boss to say goodnight — but with Mr. Stark.

And Tony being all confused and gruff about it at first, like “Why are you calling me?”

But then the next night it doesn’t happen.

And suddenly it’s 11:03 p.m. and Tony’s calling, all irritated like:

“So, you’re not saying goodnight tonight? What, I don’t get one now?”

Now they’re both calling and texting each other constantly —

“Landed safely.”

“Meeting ran late, heading home.”

“Goodnight.”

Because apparently that one silly trend flipped a switch neither of them can turn off.
