samira's release reminded me a lot of my oc riley bc of their chaotic neutral energy so heres a doodle of her! (also bc i just missed drawing her dsjsj)

this takes place after she gets betrayed by the empire after working for them. riley manages to escape, barely alive; and of course the first place she goes to..is a bar. shame she was sober for a while 😔

i feel so nervous posting this but here goes

Hey everyone!~ I want to announce that I’m finally starting commissions!

As you all know, college is…very expensive, especially the one I have my eye on. And since my family and I are in a tough spot financially, I would like to at least help them out through my art, to the point where I can start earning my own allowance. Or better yet, where I can pay for the tuition. It would really help me out! Reblogs would be much appreciated!

‘‘Journal log #61. It’s currently evening.

Ah...It’s been almost 2 months since I’ve been staying here. A place where..a friend took us to after that accident. A deserted area that isn’t noted anywhere in the galactic map. 2 months since I’ve decided to stay.

Thankfully, it is not completely barren. I took a walk today and wanted to explore. The entirety of the place seemed abandoned. There was an old tavern, a pawn shop, and even a couple of stores. Yet no one inhabited them. It was an urban wasteland. But to my discovery, I found some clothes lying around that could prove useful to me.

There’s edible food coming from all kinds of plants; and because of my, gah, condition, there’s some food I could eat that I wasn’t able to before. It seems normal to me now. And as I wait for the plants to ripen, I can also be thankful to a few beasts who inhabit this place. I was relieved I was able to learn how to hunt with Ri-Ri.

Ri-Ri..

..*sigh*

..It seemed like such an ordinary day. Ri-Ri was at home since it was my turn to take shifts at the mining fields. Then I hear a sound behind me as I work. I see a man, who was working as well, behind me with some sort of device wrapped around his chest as if wanting to hide it. I followed him out of curiosity, and I discovered it was a bomb. The man was spouting some nonsense about..taking revenge against the empire. From this unfairness with us poor folk.

I tried to stop him. It was a nasty struggle, and I fell down before I could do anything else. With him pressing that red button, I already knew it was too late. So all I could do was..tell everyone to evacuate. The guards didn’t even help. Instead, they ran for their own lives, and left us to fend for ourselves. I volunteered to stay behind, and help everyone out, the countdown echoing through my ears. If even a second was wasted, many people would have died. 

...

..Well...*chuckles as she glances at the golden scars that surrounded her arms* You could imagine what happened next.

Instead of dying from that awful attack, the power of this substance called ‘‘Ora’‘ mended me back to my state. It resulted to these seem-to-be permanent scars all over my body, as if it were similar to stiches that will never go away. A nasty confrontation with some Demaxian guards led me to discover that I had these unexplainable abilities too. I was filled with passion, fear, and anger, and it’s like all those feelings formed into this energetic..beam around my hands. It felt good, and I felt..powerful.

But at the same time, I’m scared.

I’m scared of it. it’s the same substance that Ordinal up high wants so bad. It’s used for terrible things, right..? And it’s not just him..What would have happened if they found me..? What could have happened if I didn’t run away..? I’m too scared to even imagine. No..Maybe I didn’t want to.

That poor girl..knowing her, she’s probably blaming herself for what happened. Riles..If you ever find this, know I’m okay..and know that I miss you a lot. I hope you’ve been doing fine without your dear old sister taking care of you. And I hope you’ve been good! D-Don’t become a wanted criminal or anything okay? At least not with me around...hahah.. *wipes her tears and sniffs*

..One day, when I’m ready..I’ll find you. And we can be together again.

glad you asked! here’s a description of it found on her char bio i wrote in the past:

Found on her right eye, Riley has a device that allows her to override any given machine with no limit to size. the bigger the machine is, the longer it takes to hack. Since it takes a very long while to recharge, she tries not to abuse it too often and only takes it upon situations that really require it.Using The Overrider, she can turn any hostile machine or weapon to a friendly one. It poses as a distraction for enemies since she doesn’t prefer on confronting them, and buys her some time as she heads for her main target. It cannot be used on humans. When used on an android, its result will only lead to its malfunction and it will attack anyone.

Riley also uses her Overrider to hack into unsuspecting ships. Being known as a phantom thief who keeps moving also means that you can never have something permanent. As much as she loves the attention, having a notable ship is one of them.
