OHHGG I'm so happy to finally share this one!! This was my Artists' Books final: "Bug's Big Book of Gender Envy"!! This is a blizzard book with 16 inserts, each being an illustration of Bug cosplaying a bunch of characters that have given me gender envy. On the back of each insert is my hand-lettered attempt at a description of said gender I have envy for. Seeing all these characters together in one spot honestly was such an enlightening experience for me, I think it gave me a better clue at what my gender actually is. I'm hoping to make more editions of this book!

Random sk8 thought I’ve had before but now feel like putting out there:

Langa is from Canada. Being 🏳️‍🌈 in Canada does not have the implications that it does in Japan.

Langa canonically speaks Japanese but writes terribly due to a lack of necessity due to being from Canada that others often forget.

Langa being fairly obviously in love with Reki that (some) folks would shrug off in Japan because Japan. Langa is operating under a Canadian understanding of the world.

No wonder he’s so obvious while others act oblivious.

(Also I head cannon that the reason Langa is so quiet is because it takes effort to talk in a language that isn’t necessarily your first instinct. Like I can switch by accident but keeping up in conversation or whatever can take a lot of effort, poor guy is probably quiet because his brain is overworking ALL THE TIME)

I am the number one supporter of tan Reki, I think the fact the fandom has just decided to always draw and write him as tan is a blessing, I will always draw and write him with sunkissed skin. However my favorite part about it is that quite a few people think of him as tan in canon. He's not, the only reason people started viewing him as such is because he's always next to Langa and he's just fucking purple LMAOOO. Was drawing them and color picked Langa and he's literally a pale purple

the fact that we only have “herculean task” and “sisyphean task” feels so limiting. so here’s a few more tasks for your repertoire

icarian task: when you have a task you know you’re going to fail at anyways, so why not have some fun with it before it all comes crashing down

cassandrean task: when you have to deal with people you KNOW won’t listen to you, despite having accurate information, and having to watch them fumble about when you told them the solution from the start (most often witnessed in customer service)

I've already ranted about it before but imma do it again.

That "too tall" is BS.

Gen would have been the best choice for the harem group. Missions like this is what he was made for.

Other than Senku he's the only one in the group that can read or write (Suika might be able to because of the classes with Ukyo but she's like 12) and sending messages back and forth is important in these kinds of missions.

Gen is the most manipulative person in the whole manga. He could've had Ibara wrapped around his finger in a minute. (And another person in his harem, not that anyone would want that crusty old man who is only like 50-53?? Apparently?? Like I thought he was at least late 60s. But I digress)

Mozu would have even more of a horndog than he normally is. Such as the power of Gen or Generella in this case. Then him being completely shocked when he joins the KoS and finds out that Gen is actually a dude.

"Where's that cutie that was wearing purple"? He'd say.

"oh that was actually me." Gen would reply.

"I'd still hit it."

Gen is too powerful and that arc would have been over in an instant but still.

And Senku should want that, he should want the easiest way to get the Medusa. He should have opened his mouth and disagreed with Kohaku, that girls can be tall too. Look at Nikki she's taller than Gen.

But he didn't say anything. Why didn't he say anything?!

Because he doesn't want his Mentalist in such a situation. He doesn't want any of them in a situation like that that could get dicey but he knows Kohaku and even Ginro are warriors and at least have a chance at fighting off any unwanted advances.

He also doesn't want any more people seeing Gen like that. Which I can't blame him for.

Anyway, it's because of Senku that Gen wasn't a part of the harem group.
