If you are still following along- thank you. I am so so grateful. I can't even begin to share how much every single kudos, comment, tumblr tag, and discord message has meant to me. My readers are all very special to me and truly the reason I've kept writing for three (!!!) years. ❤️

I actually cried on a bus when you sent me the art you commissioned from @heeytwelve, and half the inspiration for this fic has come from the incredible photos you're always sending me from your adventures. In bittersweet news, this is probably my last snowbaz piece—which some of you may have guessed from my extended absence lol. This fic is my baby and I really, really wanted to finish it. I don't have too many other loose threads left hanging. I will probably come back to writing soon for other fandoms (considering atla, our flag means death, she-ra, and the witcher?) but this one is, of course, the most special and has a place in my heart forever. So thank you, Carry On fandom. I would never have come back to my love of writing without you!

Pics from Undredal 🌧️

When I started my fic Northern Downpour, I wasn't intending it to be a magical AU that explored... well, all it does. Destiny, magic, vampirism, family. I really just wanted to put it in this beautiful setting that kept popping up on my browser home screen. I literally threw a pin at the southwestern fjordlands of Norway and picked Undredal based on the goats.

Anyway, fast forward a year or so and I actually visited Undredal, like some type of crazy person. A big joy in writing this fic for me was crafting descriptions of the gorgeous scenery. Getting to see it in person was nothing short of absolutely magical. I walked the paths I've described in the fic, visited the cafe, took a kayak out on the fjord, and even got chewed on by a goat. I wrote in my journal, "I feel dwarfed in majesty."

I updated the fic a bit for accuracy, and here are some new pics with the real life locations!

What?!!?! This is lovely and such a surprise!! I guess I shouldn’t be shocked at being Perceived ™ but it truly means so much that this fic is still making an impact on people years later. This community means a lot to me and it’s touching (and validating!) that so many of you have found this relatable and moving. Super honored to kick off pride month, as well 🏳️‍🌈 happy June 🥰

And looking around, I’m realising there’s so much diversity here—so many ways to be queer and present queer, or not present queer. No one looks at me differently in here whether I’m holding hands with a boy or not. (Maybe nobody else really gives a shit.)

Dev’s been narrating some story that’s making Baz hide his face in his hand, a dramatised retelling of his failed love life in the past. And even that’s making me realise that there are so many ways to be. That I don’t have to squeeze into a box in order to fit in here.

Looking around, it’s becoming abundantly clear that the entire point of being queer is throwing the fucking box off the rainbow-adorned rooftop.

Happy happy pride month to all! I've been getting into making these fic covers lately, and this fic of Sconey's was the most perfect fic to cover for pride month.

Not gonna lie--I was full-on crying about halfway through making this cover. This fic means a lot to me. As someone who loosely labels/doesn't label themself, it's so relatable and so real. And scrolling through the comments, it was lovely to feel connected to everyone who felt the same. The same "am I queer enough?" questioning, the same "but what about ___?" questions, the same "yeah, that's similar to my experiences" feeling.

To all queer people in the Carry On fandom (and all queer people out there): You are beautiful. You are wonderful the way you are. You are queer enough.

The last line of the quote I pulled might be my favorite in the whole fic. As soon as I had the idea to make a cover of this fic, I knew that was the line I wanted to pull.

Sconey, your fic is absolutely beautiful and lovely, and a wonderful depiction of the queer experience. Thank you for writing it and for being an amazing part of this fandom, and happy pride to you! 🌈💖
