DFO stans explaining why DFO is canon, using the same two pieces of evidence (the creator being a Star Wars fan and Izuku & AFO doing the same pose in concept art sheets):
The total amount of actual evidence there has been for DFO in the series so far, close to the conclusion, with the would-be dad already having bitten the dust:
No, I'm not going to sleep on this. This won't leave my fricking mind alone even after we went over this in its entirety in the server.
Creepy ass bitch ass mf dumbass weirdo stalker brother lover ew-eth get in the vault you mf
At least I have the confirmation that he is indeed doing all of this just to get Yoichi back into his clutch and I've been writing him accurately.
But still.
Go touch some grass and dirt and trees and mud and stone and worms and air and
Just get out of your head, my guy, it's been like 200 years 💀 You really didn't need to go after every single user and then adopt a kid who looks vaguely like your brother, and then just... Obsess over anyone with white hair.
Idk about you guys, but I'm seeing a bit of a parallel between how AFO talks to Yoichi and Touya. Trying to get them to join him, calling them pitiful, as if trying to make them feel weak and rely on him.
It just feels different from how he talks to his subordinates; debtors. He talks to Yoichi and Touya like they need him. It's the other way around with his debtors.
Of course, these people willingly accepted the quirk exchange.
Sorry to turn this into a mini-analysis, but I have these three people (AFO, Yoichi, Touya) on my mind 24/7. I constantly think about their relationships and the parallels.
In retrospect, Shigaraki’s trauma was foreshadowed even during his debut. (And wow that’s a sharp transition between scared five year old and All for One larping)
Also interesting that All Might and Bakugou had similar first interactions with Shigaraki: a rejection of him while triggering his trauma by forcing Kotaro’s hand off his face. Because truth is, the “Number 1 Hero who Always Wins” cannot save Shimura Tenko.
maybe one of my more unhinged takes is that i don't think that afo picked tenko just to fuck with all might or because tenko reminded him of yoichi, but also because tenko reminded him of himself.
and that pretty much every lesson he has taught tenko was a lesson he had to learn at some point, too—and that is why he doesn't understand why what he was doing to tomura and still is doing was/is bad because he doesn't think he was harmed by it, either, and because he truly believes that they are, at their core, the same person—in essence, just two people who are beyond all hope because of what they were born with, who have only ever been rejected by the world and now desire to reject it in turn, and whose goals, therefore, align.
