It’s Gloomy Where the Sun Shines

“Are you sure?” He asked with a frown appearing on his face.

She gave him an apologetic look. “I do apologize but yes.”

Joe closed his eyes in disbelief.

“But the good news is, we do have an incredible team that could help with assisting with your chemo thera-”

“No.”

There was a pregnant pause before the doctor spoke again.

“I’m sorry Mr. Brown, but if you do not get treatment the cancer will get worse and you will die.”

“How about you make yourself useful and buy me a few drinks. You coming in here, interrupting my peace!”

She ignored his words. Instead, she started to clean up his mess which made him enraged.

“How dare you come in here uninvited and look down on me!” He yelled, charging towards her before yelling in her face. “Do you think you’re better than me?! Huh? Is that it? You think you can come in and out as you please and look down on what I have for myself because you out in the suburbs! You ain’t better than me!”

The figure hastily opened the door and placing two large bottle of bud light in their left arm before going to the other door to place two bottles of wine in the other. They wanted to get more however, they didn’t have the space for it. The figure grew angry as they huffed a disbelief.

The man spoke a quiet prayer to give him strength to what he was about to do. He moved aside his robe before grabbing a sharp knife. As the burly man ripped the woman’s blouse, exposing her in the night, the man grabbed the knife at the hilt before throwing it.

Please take this to heart.

Some Christians are far too comfortable with turning serious events and God into humor and memes and puns.

God does not have a zodiac sign. God did not watch Bible movies to make witty comments about the real events in the Bible. God did not take screenshots of people’s sins and make a mockery of them on social media. God did not tell us His Name so that we could make puns out of it and say it in vain. God did not create a fandom, He created a church.

God does not want people to minimize Him and focus on cracking jokes about Him and His Word rather than listening and praying to Him.

There is a difference between wanting to be comfortable by reducing the Lord and His commandments to jokes and sarcasm versus recognizing that He wants a loving relationship with us and is the holy, perfect, sovereign God Who deserves our respect.

This is not to sound like I’m better than you, it is to follow God’s Word in approaching spiritual brothers in sisters about sin. I have certainly sinned, even in this way, and the Holy Spirit convicted me. Please listen to Him.

“Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.” Galatians 6:1

Pride - Chapter 5

The officer nodded, “Have you tried to contact him during this time?”

“Yes, I have been calling however, he refuses to pick up my call.”

“Okay… Well, while the investigation is going. Unfortunately, you will not be able to access your accounts. Also, it looks like you have been behind on you tax payments for the last five years.”

Ana was confused.

“What? That isn’t true. I pay my taxes on time every year.”

The officer shook her head, “Not according to the IRS documents. You are due to pay a total of 15 million dollars by next month or your businesses will be foreclosed by the bank.”
