Competently Incompetent Shang Qinghua.

Everyone sees Shang Qinghua getting beaten and bullied by Mobei Jun and think he is a pathetic human that would be easy to show his place to. So, some stupid demon decides to show this human his place in the demonic realm’s pecking order. Only it goes terribly wrong, because the only being Shang Qinghua will let beat him up is Mobei-Jun. How presumptuous such a lowly demon is to think just anyone of them can beat his king’s servant up?! The gal of some people?!

I also love the idea of MBJ not realizing how competent SQH is and sending death glares at anyone who visits that they best not touch his precious and very fragile cultivator, only for said cultivator to have single handedly murdered several demons who attempted to battle him and everyone knows except MBJ (who people have tried to tell and he will hear nothing of it because how dare they try to slander his cultivator’s good/pathetic name) and are terrified of him. Even more terrified at the way he acts pathetic around MBJ and begs and grovels when MBJ is looking, only to shoot a devilish and self satisfied grin at people as soon as MBJ is no longer looking his way.

Personally, I think the best answer to the What Color Are An Ding Peak's Robes question is that they were originally yellow. Not the same shade as Huan Hua Palace's gold robes, but close enough that they do bring up bad memories for Mobei Jun from time to time, which the original Shang Qinghua definitely used to his advantage when he needed to manipulate the King of the North in the original story. Eventually, Mobei Jun caught on, and this tactic failed.

When AIRPLANE Qinghua became the peaklord in his timeline, he changed the color to pale blue. This annoyed every single one of his peers, who found it irksome and unnecessary. After his betrayal came to light, many of them assumed that Shang Quinghua had probably been laughing at them in private because he'd pretty much announced his change in loyalties by walking around in Mobei Jun's colors. Even though this is not accurate. The Mobei blues are much darker. Airplane chose the light blue because it reminded him of Mobei Jun's eyes.
