MEET THE THERAPRISM STAFF

I got a suggestion to call this au the "buddy system au" and I like that, so that's what we're going with. Can't remember who suggested it or if it was anonymous. If it was you feel free to let me know.

Anyway, I decided to populate my version of the Theraprism with some staff, for the Interdimensional Tyrant Ward (ITW) specifically. It's the smallest ward in the theraprism but the qualifications are immense.

For Valentines day I redrew this comic of things people have actually said to me

Oops I disappeared and now I'm coming back with magical boy Artemis OOP

Heavy on the fairy rose and amaranth, the flower of the goddess Artemis, and I based a lot of it off of her imagery and circlets made with her symbols. Trying to incorporate his style so much that it isn't jarring while still being obviously magical girl inspired. Imagine a world where human magic used to manifest in this way, but died out a hundred or so years ago after a massive battle. Then Artemis' acquired magic and reincarnation sort of kickstarts his innate human magic and uh oh, first new magical boy in a very long time, and the nearly forgotten tradition continues. And with that resurgence of human magic, so too manifests the monsters they used to fight against.

I just want an excuse to do this. So I invented worldbuilding about it.

He keeps it a secret because he's technically the only person actually able to beat the monsters, and there's no way in hell his friends wouldn't try to involve themselves and get hurt if they found out he was taking this on by himself. The guy develops a bit of a hero complex after he comes back to life. Thankfully the magic also obscures his face on camera, and people forget what he looks like immediately after looking away from him when he's powered up.

I wanted one person to know the secret, and I asked myself who the funniest option would be. So, the only person who knows Artemis' secret identity here is Mulch. He thinks this is fun as hell. Pretty much takes it upon himself to be Artemis' "manager" and keep people away as he fights.

I imagine there would be a sort of magical entity guide because that's a classic trope in magical girl stuff, but they would be kind of a dick. Old and frustrated and very reluctant to be here, but still trying to prevent Artemis from dying. It's in a device that is probably modeled after the C-Cube.

Artemis pretends to try and figure out who this mysterious magical human is who's suddenly out there protecting Ireland, even having a pin board where he puts a bunch of fake leads that could feasibly make sense, but always point in the wrong direction. The fairies are intrigued by this as well, and eventually will try and track down the magical human to interrogate them on how they got their powers. Fortunately, Artemis is very well-versed in fairy technology, and dodges them at every turn.

The most suspicious thing about this is the fact that Artemis is suddenly paying attention in Butler's fighting lessons.

Ireland, meanwhile, is absolutely thrilled that they get the first magical boy/girl/something in so many years. TAKE THAT, EVERYONE ELSE. GO IRELAND. HE'S EVEN GOT THE FLAG'S COLORS. WE GOT ONE, LADS

Anyway that's about all I have about that for now apart from a bunch of jokes. Hope this is interesting to someone
