hello stranger

i do not know you

but i see you in my slumber

my dreams serve as a view

i do not know your name

but i have felt the warmness

of your two hands on mine

i do not know where you are from

but i have sensed your presence

as orchestrated by the divine

we have shared moments together

despite being unaware of each other

with this, i cannot help but wonder

if we are together in some sort of tether

are you, too, aware that i am out there?

or is your knowledge of me bare?

are you a real person?

or just a figment of my imagination?

do you live in my subconcious?

is there a reason for your appearance?

i have so many unanswered questions

i will let fate provide me with the answers

hello to no one. i’ve been trying to write something about bryan and i’s first date last september since last year, as seen in the date. it really meant a lot to me. this thing i wrote is not something i’m proud of, but i wanted to finish it today because i’m hurting from the fact that he went no-contact on me for 3 days now. i don’t want him to be a stranger to me, but it seems like he wants to be. my heart is extremely broken. who knew it could break even more than how it already is?

i hate the rain

i despise commuting while its raining

i do not like being outside while it is pouring

but just to see you

i had to brace the uncomfortable

i didn't mind the flood of murky water

for i was able to put my head on your shoulder

we didn’t care about the mushy feeling

of wet socks on our feet

since we were able to see each other and meet

for a first date, you would expect something grand

not something filled with chaos and discomfort

but i was able to hold your hand

and that was all that mattered

the sadness comes in waves

and i do not know how to surf

all i can do is swim

but i have been engulfed

a ripple pulls me down

to the depths without a sound

i try to look up as i drown

there is no light in sight

i continue to sink deeper

with no means to make it out

the cold water does not make me shiver

for it has made me numb

at this point no one can save me

the sadness has consumed me

I am a candle,

carefully handle.

I can light up your world and make you feel warm.

but handle me wrongly and I’ll bring you harm.

Use me too much and I’ll start to cry.

I am a fragile thing, that I can’t deny.

For I am a candle, I do burn out,

But treat me right and I’ll make you feel bright, no doubt.

tumakas mula sa ingay ng madla

gustong huminga, magpainit ng baga

pagkalabas, ikaw ang nakita

tinanong kita kung may lighter ka ba

sinabi mo oo,

at nag alok ka pa ng sigarilyo

tinanggap ko at tumabi ako sayo

nag usap tayo magdamag

tungkol sa kung anu-ano

nagtawanan, nag-biruan,

tayo lamang, ikaw at ako

bigla may tumawag

sinabi ang pangalan ko

walang akong magawa

kundi magpaalam sa iyo

salamat sa panandaliang saya

bawat pagkakamali mo ay hindi na pinapansin

kapalit ay mga nakaw na sandali na pilit kong inaangkin

kahit ilang beses mo pa ako paikut-ikutin

ang sakit at hilo ay aking titiisin

kahit malabo ang kinabukasan natin

patuloy kong pipilitin

ang gusto lang ay patuloy kang makausap at makasama

kahit ikaw ay hindi akin at iba ang iyong sinisinta

ang utak ay nababaliw at ang puso ay nalulumbay

ganito ba ang parusa sapagkat pula ang paborito kong kulay?

tuwing ikaw ay nakikita

pinagmamasdan ka sa malayo

pinapansin kung paano ka makisalamuha

pinapanood ang iyong nilalaro

minsan sinusubukang lapitan ka

at kamustahin ang iyong kalagayan

buong tapang na pinipigilan ang hiya

at sa pag-uwi ika'y sinasabayan

itetext ka na mag-ingat pauwi

at mag-chat ka pagkarating

ako'y kikiligin sa mga pangyayari

minsan nababaliw pa at napapraning

ito ay hindi na muling mararanasan

sapagkat inamin sayo ang nararamdaman

ipinaalam na sayo ay may gusto

ngunit hanggang kaibigan lang ang tingin

inasahan naman ang sinabi mo

hinanda ang puso pero sumakit parin

pagkatapos ay hindi na muli nagkasama

parang hindi na tayo magkakilala

hello to no one. my orgmates held a spontaneous poetry night in our org’s discord server last thursday night. we had several writing prompts and i was able to make 3 poems instead of working on a report for the following day. these works are the result of me palpitating on ready-to-drink coffee. i’ll be posting it in the next few days. the first one is about a crush i recently confessed to. this was actually the last one i wrote since it hurt the most, but i’ll be posting my works in reverse order since i like the first one i wrote the most.

malaking ngiti sa pagsalubong mo sa akin

mata mong kumikinang at pumipikit sa saya

ako'y binalot mo sa inip ng iyong yakap at tingin

naninigas tuwing ika'y nakikita

bawat haplos mo sa aking likod dinaramdam

tuwing naka-akbay sa akin, nabubuhay ang diwa

ang nadarama'y sarili lang ng nakakaalam

hawak mo lang ang ninanais ko, sinta

mula sa'yo ay walang ibang gustong hingin

hiling ko lang ay manatiling malapit sa iyo
