Being in a mature relationship is hard, especially as someone who's petty hahaha.
The girlfriend and I have been seeing less and less of each other for the past two months. We both were busy with our own personal life. She has been home in the province to celebrate her mom's birthday. On our next free day, I couldn't come because I went home to celebrate my brother's graduation. There were days when I could go to her place but she was still at work, or when she's free for breakfast but I have an early call time at work.
It was challenging. Especially because we both were not the kind of people who naturally remember to check on our phones. Some days she'd leave me a message or two, and on some days I can only respond to one, and vice versa.

I've started feeling alone in this relationship. But as soon as I told her that, I came home to flowers on my bed. This isn't her trying to buy my forgiveness - this is her telling me she hears me, and that she's also trying. She spent two nights with me (literally two nights because I had to go to work in the mornings haha), assuring me as she always does, telling me her reasons, but not making excuses. And that was all I really needed. Being acknowledged and validated, along with a much needed hug and a few kisses. I'm not a hard girl to impress, after all.
There's a certain joy in knowing you can be the most vulnerable with someone and that you can trust them with all of it. There's peace in being able to express how you feel without the fear of scaring them away.
Moments like these, I can't help but feel like I'm the luckiest.

Learning to cook at 27 is a little tricky but my girlfriend bought me kitchenware and it will be a waste if I don't even make the effort to learn.
1st pic was me trying to follow a recipe from Facebook lmao. And second pic is what I actually prepared as baon for work kasi di masarap yung luto kong gulay HAHAHAHAHAHA.

I'm falling into the pits of sadness once again.
I haven't showered in 2 days.
I've only gotten up to pick up my food delivery from the gate of my residence, and to sneak a stick of cigarette.
I've finished three full movies without understanding anything because I'm playing a silly mobile game at the same time.
I've only talked to my girlfriend - a 15 sec voice call just to let her know I'm still alive.
I told myself I'll wake up early and go to work tomorrow because I slept all throughout the week.
What the fck is wrong with me

22.03.25 1954H | PETA Theater Center

Watched Anino Sa Likod ng Buwan. Grabe ang ganda po sobra huhu. I was curious how they would execute a stage adaptation knowing how daring the film was, but IdeaFirst did not disappoint! It was intense, and gripping, and you can hear the audience impact talaga. Not to mention, it was very well-acted! Ofc I fangirled over Elora Espano as an indie film enthusiast haha, my girl did a wonderful job!
Also I have to add, ganda ng set design!

2258H | Odd Seoul, QC
After the show, the girlfriend and I decided to go to Sunnyclub since they are hosting an event in a nearby bar venue. Checked out the crowd and while they have a lively and lovely crowd of gays, we felt a little too tita hahahaha. Left after one drink but it was soooo nice to find events like this for the community 🌈

13.03.25. 1817H | Nono's, Opus Mall
Because the girlfriend knew I've been excited for Mickey17 for a few months now, we went on a date. We were deciding between Opus Mall and Estancia since we haven't been on either one. Opus won.
There aren't many open stores yet but we were glad to see Nono's is already operating. If you haven't known by now, I'm a big fried chicken fan and Nono's happen to be one of my favorite.
The service on this branch though is a total disaster. *Sigh*
We got seated about 5mins upon arrival, and placed our order by 1830H. We were told that the serving time is between 25-30mins and it was fine with us since the screening we booked was for 2000H. Food arrived about 20 mins late though at 1920H so we had to rush and only had 25 mins to eat. 50 mins serving time is a little too much for us.
We requested for the bill and to have the rest of the food to go by 1945H to give us enough time to get to the screening. Took them the whole 15 mins to wrap it up.
Terrible, terrible service.

Food was good though. Ordered their original and southern rub fried chicken with waffles and it did not disappoint. Easily a 8.5/10
Next up is the baked spaghetti. It was served fresh out of the oven. The bread that came with it was kind of stale already though. 7/10
Pizza margherita was very good, it was served cold though. 7/10

Ordered strawberry mango shake because I already had 4 cups of coffee that day lmao while the girlfriend ordered latte because she's used to having coffee at night as someone who works the graveyard shift.

2002H. 2 mins late for the screening but luckily we were just in time. We wanted to try the VIP cinemas, however, only the regular cinemas have the movie we wanted to watch. Tickets are at Php 450, and it just reminds me how I used to score Php 100 tickets back when I was in college lmao. Entertainment tax is rising wtf.
Movie did not disappoint. I mean, it wasn't the best Bong Joon Ho or Robert Pattinson, or Mark Ruffalo film I've watched but it was entertaining enough not to regret those steep ticket prices lmao. Definitely a 3.5/5 on my letterboxd lmao.

Also took a photo of the cinema area because it definitely has that "Alta" aura hahaha. The use of black and gold definitely works. I just hope they get to maintain it once this mall starts to get more customers.
Anyway, just sharing how my date went since I miss over sharing here hahaha. Busy na ko siz, ganito pala buhay ng employed.

Went to a local coffee shop and ordered iced Americano... After getting my order I immediately noticed it has sugar. Tried to make a complain and I was told may sugar daw talaga kapag iced??? When did Americano started sugar??? Anyway, didn't wanna argue so I just threw it away and went home. Nescafe stick supremacy pa din!

I got a new job!
Haven't been around Tumblr in a while, trying to land something that can pay my bills. I've always found the thought of me applying for a job a tad bit insulting, since I've always worked freelance (and even tried to start my own company when I was 25) pero there's a sense of security din pala in knowing you'll get paid a fixed amount every month lmao instead of always being in the mercy of your clients haha.
Nagma-mature na ba ko kasi pagod na ko sa hustle? I just want a steady medium paying job instead of going above and beyond for a high paying yet highly stressful project based jobs I used to take.
Treat myself out for dinner, knowing already I'll regret this because I have to start living within my means from now on hahahaha.
The girlfriend sent me flowers because she's just supportive like that.
Work was chill, though I already miss getting paid enough to take a two month break hahahaha. My salary in this job is just enough to pay for my rent. But really excited to see where this takes me in my career.

20.12.24 0118H | Premier the Samgyupsal, Bonifacio Stopover, BGC
As a night shift girlie, my girlfriend got to my place around lunchtime and spent the day sleeping til midnight. I didn't mind. I know how tired she gets at work and I'm happy to spend time with her even if it meant just staring at her in her sleep. She woke up at midnight, at syempre naghanap ng food haha. We wanted to try the midnight buffet in BGC, unfortunately it was already closed by the time we got there (not sure if closed lang sila the day we went there or talagang hindi na offered yung midnight buffet) so we searched for other options and found this Premier branch that operates 24/7. It offers unli Samgyupsal and hotpot. My girlfriend invited my brother (who stays with me during the holidays). It's just so cute to watch a foodie eat! (My brother majors in culinary and is always down for food trip.)

1624H | Route 95 Diner, Makati
Since I've been practicing OMAD (bc of recent medical concerns), sinabayan ako ni girlfriend kumain that day lmao. We went to this diner that offers unli platter of chicken, sausage, ribs, and Salisbury steak. Serving was hefty that I was only able to ask for a refill of the Salisbury steak and half of the ribs. The sausage was hard to finish though kasi di ko gusto yung taste huhu sorry. The rest of the food were good naman.
Also, really nice interiors and we were the only guests when we arrived. Unfortunately there's a group of friends that came in about 20mins after and istg these folks lack etiquette sa lakas ng boses at tawanan myghad. My girlfriend is seated right next to me but we struggle to have a conversation since we can barely hear each other's voices. We wanted to try their desserts pero we decided to leave na lang after dinner.

Since I'm still craving for ice cream, we went to Farmacy for a quick fix. Got there around 2034H then headed to the Taguig TLC Park to see the Christmas Village. Unfortunately, we did not anticipate the traffic and got there at 2243H, which left us only about 10 mins and we were not able to have a full tour of the place. Will try to come back again next time.

21.12.24 1509H | Marugame Udon, BGC
Had a late lunch before she went home. We have plans to meet up again for Christmas til the 26th, if all goes well.

08.12.24 | Baguio City
After breakfast, we went to Burnham Park for a little morning stroll, then rented a sidecar for an hour. We took turns driving around and what I really like about Baguio is that there's still a cold breeze even under the scorching sun.
Went to Ili Likha Artist Village and I bought a shirt and souvenir. The place looks really nice and I love how the interiors made my head hurt kasi how were they able to make it look like that haha. We also had snacks since we were still full from brunch but won't be going out til late.
Checked in at our hotel at 2PM. Dahil nga biglaan, we booked a room at Newtown Plaza Hotel in the morning while having breakfast. The hotel was nice enough for its price even though we had issues with the keycard pero fine I won't hold it against them na lmao. Also fan room lang nakuha namin haha. Anyways nasulit naman namin yung breakfast buffet namin before we checked out the next day so okay na din siguro.
After settling in, my girlfriend needed her nap so we didn't leave until after 8PM. Checked out the Christmas Village and tbh a little disappointed. It's not as festive as it used to be. Took us about 5 minutes to get bored with it all but we bought these cute little antler headbands with the lights and they were very cutesy haha I loved the attention kasi people were asking where we got it kaso sa Burnham pa namin yun nabili earlier. Yes, I'm petty like that haha.

Final stop is at The Other Office for dinner. Tbf, we wanted to try other well-known restaurants in the area but this was the only one that operates past 10PM. Food was okay, although medj mabagal yung service, I think, considering there were only 2 sets of customers other than us. Still a good experience though, inantok lang bebe ko haha.
Got back at the hotel around midnight and snuggled with the girlfriend, perfect for Baguio's cuddle weather.
