The sneak peek of chapter 58 for Balance has me so excited! Whenever I read I tend to picture the actors / actresses or the animated characters in my head, so was wondering if you had a similar or close face character for Elara? (That was the longest run on sentence I’m so sorry omg lol)

Hi! So I went back and forth on a lot of different people that I thought could be close to Elara in my mind, and I landed on Hayley Atwell awhile back!

heart pounding whenever the other does so much as to hold onto their wrist while guiding them through a crowd

one just casually sitting down on the other's lap and they start internally freaking the hell out

hesitantly tugging the other's fabric of their shirt or sleeve, testing the waters

^^ the other notices so they pull them into a hug, smiling as they just watch them melt

"wait, don't go, please.."

"is this okay?" "it's more than okay."

already barely holding it together as they're getting their hand held but then they feel that reassuring squeeze and they just can't

wearing the others' clothes so that it can at least feel like they're hugging them, even for just a moment

feeling so lonely that they have to call their lover/friend, just to get a sense and reminder that they're still there

^ trying and failing to hold back their tears as they do so

"can i have one more hug?" "aw, babe you don't have to ask, c'mere..."

when the other holds onto their waist briefly as they're passing by and it just send chills down their spine

breaking down mid-hug because they just needed this so much

their breath hitching whenever the other gets a little closer

^ feeling crushed when that action is taken as a sign of discomfort, and they watch them slowly back off

holding onto a stuffed animal/pillow, imagining that it's their lover in their embrace instead

one leaning their head onto the other's shoulder suddenly and they just freeze

Hi Mary! I just found your fic Balance and I completely reactivated my tumblr after like 472888521 years just to ask if you’re planning on updating it! It’s one of the BEST fanfics in general I’ve read and I’d love to see how everything moves forward with all the new StarWars content coming out all the time! I hope all is well (:

Yes, I plan on updating it! I’m making myself shake off the dust from my writing, because I miss it TERRIBLY, and I’m trying to reclaim doing things that I love. I’m really happy that you found “Balance” and have enjoyed it so much! It’s truly the only story I’ve ever written where I’ve constantly thought about it, consistently been sad I haven’t been able to touch it in so long. Life really just… took me out for a while, and I’m trying to reclaim my life and the things that I love. So look out for an update sometime soon! I’m trying to get back into keeping this Tumblr page updated, so hopefully I’ll be dropping updates here about how the writing and chapter update is going!

Thanks for checking in! I’m still trucking along, still trying to find time to write. I think that I’ve been stuck on Ch. 58 so long that I just… gotta get what I have posted so that I can just move forward and get a true fresh start! I’m at the point where I keep editing what I wrote because I feel like it’s just no good. But I did post an excerpt just a moment ago, I’m hoping it gives me a kick in the pants to get back on the writing train!
