Something I love to do to go to sleep is the game "Kaer Morhen Logistics". Basically I select an area of the AW Kaer Morhen and figure out how it works in a practical sense, eg the stables or the pantry or the bedrooms. Like who works there, who's in charge, what the jobs are, what does a day look like. Wildly fantasising about bureaucracy, what can I say. My favourite thing is the rotas for the trainees to go to different places to learn the task/role, so they get experience everywhere and know how to look after themselves or others in the most practical sense. Who teaches a trainee to hoof pick, etc. It's great.

This is a delightful method of calming down for sleep!

Also, if wildly fantasizing about bureaucracy is your thing, may I suggest the book The Hands of the Emperor by Victoria Goddard, which is about the World's Best Bureaucrat and also the Fantasy of Good Government and also Literally Undying Loyalty? (I am very fond of this book. It is so good.)

Oh my gosh. I just found this website that walks you though creating a believable society. It breaks each facet down into individual questions and makes it so simple! It seems really helpful for worldbuilding!

ON THAT NOTE i fully believe that post-full circle kara and adriane tried dating guys (lorren and zach, respectively) only for it to not really work out for reasons that they themselves couldn’t really discern (adriane loves emily and obsesses over kara too much to be fully invested in her relationship with zach and sees him as more of just best friend/fellow wolf-kin and kara is a lesbian suffering from severe comphet) while emily just kinda chilled, saying she wasn’t interested in dating at the moment while also feeling weirdly jealous everytime she’d see kara or adriane with their bfs and lowkey spiraling because of it

anyway, around the time they’re 16-17 (like junior year) they finally Figure Shit Out in a very angsty but also oddly not way, b/c at this point they’ve known each other for years and been through hell and back together and they’re each other’s best friends but also something else because after everything they’ve been through “best friends” doesn’t seem like enough to describe the bond they have.

and so the three of them start dating, except nothing much changes because they’ve already got such a close relationship, there’s just more physical intimacy and a Lot more conversations about their feelings, which they already did (kara forced them) but now the emotional conversations about their very romantic feelings for each other and how to make a three person relationship work

thinking about avong web of magic ot3 today and what nicknames they would use for each other, so here are my headcanons (if anyone sees please add your own):

adriane and kara: this one is funny because they have SO many nicknames throughout the books, all delivered with sarcasm and almost always as insults. however, post full circle i do think they would keep the nicknames up, just with a lot more endearment behind them now. “Xena” and “Barbie” would stick around, and Adriane would definitely call kara “Princess” in a way that’s SUPPOSED to be insulting but just comes off way too soft to be anything but loving.

once ot3 starts properly dating, “baby” and “darling” are also commonly used, though darling always has a LOT of sarcasm behind it.

adriane and emily: adriane starts calling emily “Em”, and she always does it in the absolute softest voice in the cutest way, and even though its simple emily LOVES it. similarly, emily starts calling adriane “adri” whenever either of them are feeling super soft, and ESPECIALLY when they’re in the kind of mood where they need the other fo take care of them. these two, as always, the absolute sweetest.

kara and emily: at some point kara picks up calling emily “Doc” and doesn’t let it go, but she also uses traditional petnames for her a lot “baby, sweetheart, darling non sarcastically, LOVE). emily likes calling kara “love” a lot too, and that kind of becomes their thing

as you can see, i’m very soft for all them and they’re all very soft for each other

Final Emergency Ask

Hey chat so... My grandmother has just passed away. Right now, I need some funds for some of her funeral stuff. I'm just. Drained emotionally, physically, and mentally. I don't even have the energy to say anything right now but just... this will probably my final ask for this. I want to help her leave peacefully. Any bit really helps. Just. Please.

Part of it is going to be paying for the remaining hospital bills and the other part is going to her funeral rites. If any of you can send some help right now I would really appreciate it. Even just sharing it will help.
