Sarai wandered into the old study — a room untouched since before Odin arrived. The air felt warm. Familiar.

She ran her fingers along the edge of the piano, its keys yellowed with time.

The bench creaked under her. The bench still held his warmth.

Back in the present, Sarai leaned forward, her hands trembling.

"He trusted her. And she—"

A sharp knock at the door jolted her from the memory.

But when she opened it, no one was there.

Just a chill in the air… and the undeniable scent of wet fur.

She whispered, barely audible, “Ezren?”

The manor echoed differently without Odin. Sarai roamed its halls like a shadow, each corner whispering memories of him — his laugh, his scent, his steady presence.

But now, she was alone.

And in that loneliness, memories stirred.

Memories she'd kept buried so deep that she can barely remember.

Sarai blinked hard. She could feel the memories fighting to rise, like old bones buried shallow.

She whispered, “Why now?” But deep down, she knew.

Odin’s absence wasn’t just hurting her — it was undoing her. And the past was clawing back through the cracks.

Tristan had been trying for days. Calls. Texts. Excuses. Nova finally agreed to meet—but not to forgive.

They met at Stargazer Lounge. The view was stunning, but Nova’s expression was cold.

She let him talk for a bit—meaningless banter, fake charm—then cut him off.

“I saw you,” she said. “With Kehlani. In my house.”

Tristan froze. His face drained of color. “Nova, I—”

“No,” she snapped. “Don’t even try. You cheated. And you did it there. In my home. With someone I trusted.”

He reached for her, but Nova stepped back. Her voice didn’t waver. “You didn’t just lose me. You lost everything.”

Black Velvet – Chapter 4: Make Me Famous

Brandy got dressed like she had something to prove. Not to the world—to herself.

She hit the club in her best look and worst mood. If she couldn't get the attention online, she'd force them to do it in person.

She flirted with some randos out of boredom. Danced like she was trying to outrun her own thoughts. Locked eyes with a few across the room and went in without thinking.

Drinks. Flirty looks. One slick comment too many at the bar then back to the dance floor. Brandy’s temper flared towards another sim making comments about her earlier moment. She snapped back louder than she should’ve.

People stared. Some smirked. One started filming. And then she black out. Flat out. Middle of the dance floor.

She got up, yelled something no one could really understand, and stumbled out of the club before her lashes fell off.

She didn’t look back. She didn’t want to see who was watching. She just wanted the night to end...

Eternal Desires – Chapter 24: Scent of Doubt

The familiar scent of pine and iron greeted Odin as he stepped into Moonwood Mill, but it no longer brought comfort.

He'd left a piece of himself behind in Forgotten Hollow—and something heavier had returned with him.

At the bar near the woods, Wolfgang leaned against a cracked wooden beam, arms crossed. “You've been hiding.”

Odin shrugged, but the motion felt heavier than it should. “Didn’t expect to stay away this long.”

They sat without speaking for a while. The low hum of crickets filled the quiet.

“You smell different,” Wolfgang said finally, not accusing, but not casual either.

Odin tensed. “Forgotten Hollow sticks to you.”

“That, or something there won’t let go.”

Wolfgang’s gaze was sharp. Not hostile, but not brotherly either. “Whatever it is, make sure it doesn’t make you forget who you are.”

Odin stood. “I haven’t.”

But as he walked away, he wasn’t so sure.

Starry Beginnings – Chapter 24: Back to the Beat

Nova buried herself in her home studio, trying to outrun her emotions with basslines and melody.

The house still echoed with memories from the party, but she blocked them out with her latest track—something bold, sharp, and loud.

A call from Kehlani’s producer, Rico, caught her off guard. “Kehlani said you’ve got a sound that’s worth hearing. You down to play something?”

Nova hesitated. This could be it—the industry door creaking open. That fear of being overshadowed by the drama? It vanished. This was her shot.

By nightfall, Nova sent off a polished demo. Something fierce. Something hers.

She didn’t know what would come of it, but she finally felt like she was back on track.

The days passed like fog. Odin remained in Forgotten Hollow, but the rhythm of their lives had changed. Conversations were brief, glances cold. Sarai tried to fill the silence with routine—books, rituals, wandering the darkened halls—but her mind was never far from him.

One evening, she found him in the study, staring at the fireplace, lost in thought.

“You’re still here,” she said quietly.

“I don’t know why,” he replied without looking up. “I want to believe you.”

Sarai sat beside him. “I was trying to protect you. The last time I loved someone… it killed him. I didn’t want that to happen to you.”

Odin turned to her, pain flickering in his eyes. “Then why do I still feel like a stranger to you?”

Sarai didn’t answer. She reached for his hand, but he didn’t take it.

The silence returned, but this time, it was cracked—like something had shifted, even if only slightly.

Starry Beginnings – Chapter 23: Caught in the Crossfade

Nova didn’t sleep.

The image of Tristan and Kehlani tangled together kept looping in her mind. And then there was Darius—unexpectedly kind, disarmingly present.

By noon, he texted: “Coffee? No pressure.” Nova paused, then agreed.

At the café, things flowed easily.

Darius talked about trying to move on from Vanessa. That part hit different—Nova hadn’t realized how close the circle really was. Everyone seemed to be wrapped in everyone else.

When their time reached it's limit Darius reached for Nova's hand. It wasn’t flirty. It was soft. Intentional.

Nova didn’t pull away, but she felt the twist inside her.

She wasn’t ready for something new—but maybe she was tired of being stuck.

Although the work was tough, Brandy felt relieved. She felt accomplished.

Sarai stood on the balcony, moonlight tracing the sharp lines of her face. Below, Forgotten Hollow slept in silence.

Behind her, Odin hovered like a ghost—present, but unreachable.

“You’ve been distant,” she said without turning.

“I know about the prophecy,” he replied flatly. “And the other… the one before me.”

Sarai tensed. “Who told you?”

“Morgana sent a message. Vlad confirmed it.”

Silence.

“I was going to tell you,” she whispered.

“You didn’t,” he said. “And now I don’t know if I can trust you.”

The distance between them had never felt wider.

Nova needed air, so she hit up a downtown lounge alone—no Kehlani, no Tristan. Just music, noise, distraction.

But distraction found her. A confident stranger with sharp style and a smirk introduced himself as Darius, a producer with industry ties.

“I’ve heard of you. That party track? You’ve got something.”

Nova raised a brow. “You actually listen to party tracks?”

“I listen to potential,” he grinned. “And I think you’ve got a lot more than just one hit in you.”

He bought her a drink, didn’t hover, and kept the conversation flirty but professional—refreshing.

Nova smiled for the first time in days. Maybe it was time to start rewriting her story.

Some blogs ago I was following this sim story based in New Orleans about an old-timey type family legacy and I have been looking for it lately but I can't remember what it was called. The searched I've searched I'm embarrassed to say, but they are not working at finding what I'm looking for. Relevant type posts are coming up, but not the one I'm looking for.

This is the beginning of a mysterious, smooth, and sexy story called Black Velvet. Brandy Black began hitting the blade at 13 to make a way for herself. At 17 she began dancing at one of the most popular strip clubs in her small town. She barely made any money there, but one night she was coming home from the strip club and was hit my a public service vehicle. She was awarded $525,000 simoleons. She used her mini fortune on a new home in Windenburg... but as the story is told: You can take a girl out of the gutter, but you can't take the gutter out of the girl.
