"Not sure why there are so many Naoya. I only met each of them once, though, so I can't really say... Right, I forgot to introduce myself." He smiled a little. "My name's Shuji. Shuji Nikuta. What about you?"
"A Naoya or two, a demonic version of myself, a demon or two… an interesting girl… Haven’t met too many people actually." He shook his head. “Though, I have to say, everyone I’ve met certainly has been unique and interesting. Which is a good thing - meeting too many of the same people with the same opinions wouldn’t be worth the trip, right?"

Shuji nodded his acknowledgement. "Nice to meet you too. I'm Shuji Nikuta."

"Certainly seems like you’ve encountered a lot of interesting people," he replied, one eyebrow raised at the mention of ‘jello’. The vauge mention of a ‘guy in purple’ brought a particular face to mind, but Shuji shrugged it off. “I’ve met a Naoya or two as well. They tend to use whatever name the version of us they know is using, so I don’t pay much attention to it. It’s Naoya…"

30 Days of Character Development
7.) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?
As Shuji can barely distinguish his old memories for Abel's, there's nothing he would pick from his part to erase. As for his more recent memories, Shuji doesn't tend to dwell on the past, but would probably erase getting involved in the lockdown at all, considering all the problems that event has caused him.

"No idea. It might have just been the general attitude, or it might have been me… No way of knowing," he mused. “You haven’t met any of them yet, then? I’m not surprised. Still, I’m pretty happy I met you before you met the others. So, what kinds of people have you met so far?"

Shuji's eyes widened slightly in surprise, thought that only seemed to make him look like he was awake - traveling between realities drained a significant amount of his physical energy. The fact that someone he had just met was offering to help him out, coupled with the fact that it seemed he couldn't leave - either through his own power of the game's system - was somewhat disconcerting. 'There's no reason for him to have ulterior motives, since there's obviously nothing he could gain from helping me... so he's just genuinely being nice?' Shuji felt some of the tension in his chest subside.
"I'm not sure why you're offering, but sure, I'd appreciate the help. I'm not sure exactly why I can't leave, though. I might be able to leave through my own power... when I've rested a bit..." He glanced off into the distance, sliding his hands into the pockets of his pants. "This place is a little too realistic for any game I've seen..." he mused under his breath, feeling a bit of a scowl form on his face. "But if you don't mind me asking, are you sure about helping me out?"

Sliding his gloved hands into the pockets of his BlackWyrm Coat, Kirito’s face was graced with a small smile as he awaited the realisation of being inside of a Virtual Reality Video Game. Tapping his foot slightly on the grass, he nodded politely as the realisation was achieved. ‘Shuji’ was definitely an interesting name, but the fact that he hadn’t the foggiest idea of how he’d arrived in that world honestly didn’t surprise him. “It’s alright, take your time." He spoke softly, the older, more mentor-like stance being shown toward the boy.
Shaking his head slowly yet casually, his smile grew wider. “I’m not surprised by the former or the latter. There’ve been a lot of people arriving within the game lately with the same reasoning behind it." Sliding a finger in mid-air, he opened the GM Menu and attempted to forcibly eject him from the game, though sadly to no avail. "And by the looks of it, you can’t really leave, either."
The situation grew more and more dire; though most were able to leave after reaching a self-realisation that would in turn send them back to their world, the realisations themselves seemed to be getting to extremes. “You’ve already figured out where you are, so tell me;"

"You seem a lot nicer," he replied bluntly, giving a little shrug. “I haven’t met too many people I recognize, but some of them seem a little more hostile than I remember them… It might have something to do with where they were from, but meeting someone relatively nicer is comforting."

Shuji felt his eyebrows furrow in confusion. "Player?" It took a moment for the meaning of the word to sink in. 'Player... like in a video game... ? It would explain the weird way everything feels, at the least. But how did I end up in a video game?' He glanced over at the black-clad swordsman, eyeing him curiously. There was something that didn't seem... real about him, but he certainly wasn't an NPC... at least, not in anything Shuji had ever played. 'It's safe to assume he's a real person.
"I hope this doesn't sound too weird, but I'm not playing this game. I'm not sure how I ended up here, but I'm certainly not a player." He pulled his headphones off his head - suddenly realizing that they must have seemed weird in a place with swords as the level of combat technology - and let them hang around his neck. "My name is Shuji. If you don't mind me asking, what game am I in?"

With an intense, neon [One New Player Logged In:-] flashing in front of his face, Kirito opened his eyes slowly whilst attempting to shield himself from the blinding light. Once he had cancelled out of the tab that had so promptly burst into view before him, he brushed himself off before leaping to his feet. “I suppose there is a downside in having the GM Menu constantly active…" He muttered while bringing a hand to the side of his head.
Ever since the swordsman had gained Game Master privileges, he’d made it somewhat his mission to greet New Players and advise them on how to get started within Alfheim Online. Of course the Navigation Pixie population had been increased and as such, more guides had been created for new players, but the experience of someone such as him was more valuable than most people would realise. Stretching out lazily and adding a slight groan in response to having fallen asleep so suddenly, he looked around and wasn’t hard pushed to find the newest log-in, as staring up at him with surprisingly grey-ing eyes was a cerulean-blue haired boy with outlandish headphones; how he’d added such customisation to his headgear was beyond him. Was that even possible within the game’s default parameters?

The Black Swordsman and the Summoner (RP with virkiritosalvator)
The ability to travel to other worlds was a useful ability, but often Shuji found himself wandering into a world that seemed to defy common sense. As he opened his eyes, he was almost instantly sure that the world he was currently in was an exception. Here, he didn't feel human. 'I'm not technically human anymore to begin with, but here, I don't feel.... solid?' It was a strange sensation.
Instead of dwelling on it, Shuji glanced around. There were large open fields as far as the eye could see, and faint outlines of mountains beyond that. There were little colored blots scattered along the ground, moving slowly along, minding their own business. Shuji quickly assumed they were animals and decided to steer clear of them, not wanting to assume they were friendly. Instead, he cast a glance behind him and spotted a tall black shadow at the top of a hill. It didn't look like an animal, but still Shuji decided to approach cautiously.
"Um... excuse me?"

"Nice to know I've met a me that's friendly," he mumbled, letting out an internal sigh of relief. "You certainly seem a lot different from a lot of other people I've met." 'Mostly because most of them seem to have chosen to kill God outright,' he mused to himself.
Shuji blinked in turned, a bit surprised. “‘Hi’ yourself…" he muttered, realizing a second too late exactly what he had said. He rolled his eyes and smiled. “Nice to meet you."
