Tickling isn't always, or by nature a kink.

I've seen SO many posts saying it's a kink because "you get a reaction from it." Like?? Ofc you get a reaction from it, it's called stimuli. The same thing we watch movies for?? Or literally do anything we enjoy?

As someone who doesn't kinkshame, I will be the first to- begrudgingly- admit that it CAN be a kink. However, it IS NOT ALWAYS a kink. If you think it is always, and without fail a kink, then please leave my blog. I am 100% serious rn. I can guarantee I'll block any posts like that. Tickling CAN BE a thing of innocence, and there's enough corrupted (sex- glorified) media out there these days, that I will choose to die on this hill. For others, sure, it can go either way.. but this is the side I stand on.

If you think people can't have a normal, valid, NATURAL reaction to being tickled (laughing/blushing/being playful; ALL NORMAL RESPONSES) w/o it being labeled as a kink, then immediately unfollow me, we have nothing in common, thanks. Obviously there should be ground rules set in place and enforced/clarified before you play w someone, ESP if they're new. Idc if you're best friends, you might want to go over them again, just in case smth changed and you forgot abt it.

underrated trope: a character who genuinely, fully, 100% believes that they aren’t ticklish. they think they’ve outgrown it, or that they’re so good at turning it off, or no one has ever tried so they just really think they aren’t!!

and then, a friend or a partner comes around that proves them wrong. whether it’s finding just one little spot that gets a reaction, or discovering that they are actually super sensitive.

the shock, the surprise, the unfamiliarity. the ‘i trust you enough to not turn it off’ of it all. the ‘you are the one person that can get this reaction out of me’ moment!!
