Herbs you can grow indoors.
Made this list for my fellow witchies who like their kitchen to be full of the green stuff :
Basil : like lots of sun and warmth. More difficult to grow in the winter months
Bay : needs plenty of sun and fresh air.
Chives : needs at least 6 hours of sun and plenty of water.
Dill : prefers slightly acidic soil, needs plenty of sunlight, doesn’t need too much water.
Lemongrass : My personal favorite as you don’t plant it in soil. Grow in a couple of inches of water. Easiest to grow.
Mint : needs plenty of water and needs to be placed in an area with indirect light. Harvest frequently.
Oregano : does not deal well with cold and drastic temperature changes could kill it.
Parsley : Doesn’t require too much light or maintenance, but is a slow grower.
Rosemary : needs 6 - 8 hours of strong, direct sunlight. Only water when the top layer of soil feels dry. Needs good ventilation. A bit trickier to grow.
Sage : Needs plenty of sun.
Thyme : Needs 6 - 8 hours of sunlight a day and maybe even supplemental light.

Éabhancholl - Cold/Flu Spell
you'll need:
- tea tree oil (commonly used for colds/flus, has a medicinal aroma)
- cedarwood oil (used for symptoms such as coughing, sneezing)
- adventurine (wellbeing)
- red jasper (strength)
- first quarter moon (symbolic of taking action)
- green candle (prosperity)
- sigil (éabhancholl)
- a small charm bottle
• cast a circle (athame/wand optional, i use a selenite wand for purity)
• write the sigil on some paper
• light the candle, applying a drop of each oil to the flame
• sit in Easy Pose/Sukhasana (legs crossed) in the centre of the circle
• with one stone in each hand, close your eyes and meditate on your intent, focus your energy. think of the person you're healing, or if it's yourself, think of what you'll do once you're healed.
• keep the stones in your palms and bring your hands to prayer at the heart.
• repeat the spell -
“my body will in time heal
i pray for wellness; here i kneel
in the presence of the quarter moon
i focus energy; i recover soon
my inner power will restore fully
this is my will so mote it be,”
(if you are focusing on healing another person besides yourself, replace personal pronouns with their preferred pronouns)
• burn the sigil paper with the candle flame; place the ash into a small bottle (carry this with you for a charm)
• blow out the candle
• close the circle
• namaste!
(please note: although this spell elicits a calming an meditative effect, it is not a cure, and should not be a substitute for medical attention)
blessed be 🍃

Last update I promise, thanks to @nicstoirm for the info. This is tarot spread for the upcoming Lammas/Lughnasadh (August 1). This spread follows the Gaelic tradition of Lughnasadh, or the “Lugh’s games/festival”. It is a commemoration of Lugh’s foster mother, Tailtiu, who died while clearing land of Ireland for farming. It marks the first of many Autumn growths of the season.  This spread can be used even if you don’t observe pagan/gaelic calendar/events as it gives a simple retrospective look of our summer as we approach autumn.

🌿Lammas Activities🌿
Lammas (also called Lughnasadh) is a sabbat from the Wheel of the Year that is celebrated on August 1st to mark the beginning of the harvest season
Tumblr media
🌿 Bake! Cooking and sharing food is a great activity for any sabbat, and cooking bread, desserts, meat, and enjoying fruits and vegetables is a great way to celebrate Lammas! 🌿 Enjoy nature! Fall is coming next, so enjoy the fresh air while you can. Invite friends and family on a nature walk or picnic or you can go yourself and embrace the beauty that nature has to offer! Visit a lake, a park, go on a trail, or whatever you want to connect with nature! 🌿 Take care your plants! This is the beginning of the harvest season. Take extra care of your plants and maybe even give them a treat: new soil, a new pot, fresh water, or fertilizer. If it’s time to harvest some fruits or veggies, do so!  🌿 Decorate your altar and/or home! Colors, plants, grains, wreaths, animal prints, and candles are some great ways to decorate your home and/or altar for Lammas! 🌿 Do some crafts! Making crafts is a great way to have fun on Lammas, especially if you’re celebrating with kids! Making corn dolls and corn wheels are a few of the many fun ways to celebrate! Plus, when spring rolls around, you can bury the corn doll or corn wheel in a new garden to help your plants grow. 🌿 Prosperity magic! Lammas is the ideal time to perform prosperity magic, so if you have any prosperity spells hidden in your grimoire or book of shadows, take those out and work some magic! 🌿 Work on your book of shadows or grimoire! A relaxing way to end the day would be to write a few pages in your book, whether you write in spells, information, or a journal entry. 🌿 Finish some projects! If you have some projects nearing an end, Lammas would be a great time to finish those or to make more progress if you can! Not every goal needs to be achieved, but dedicating your time and effort to finishing a few would be a great Lammas activity. 🌿 Make a bonfire! Invite friends and family to a bonfire! While you sit around the fire, share some of your bad or unnecessary habits and how you plan to change or get rid of those habits so you can have renewed strength. If you’re a secret witch, you can just light a candle in your room and privately journal your reflection!

Low Spoon Ways to Celebrate Lammas/Lughnassadh
Tumblr media
(Made, in part, for my own benefit on this very tired Lughnassadh)
🌽 Eat some carbs/bread, and leave the rest to your deity/beings of choice if you like.
🌽 Light just one candle, (gold, orange, white, yellow, red, or brown if you can) and just spend five minutes thinking about Lughnassadh and all the things you wish to harvest in the coming months.
🌽 Reconnecting with nature is always a good idea, if you have the spoons for it. See if you can take a walk outside, or maybe meditate with some plants.
🌽 Write down everything you hope to manifest in the coming months. Keep it in a safe place for Yule, where you can bring it out again and burn it to close this chapter on that part of your life.
🌽 Drink some mint tea to draw abundance. Leave some for your deity/beings of choice, if you like.
🌽 Write down all the things you’re grateful for, imbue the gratitude into a piece of paper, and bury it later when you can.
Feel free to add your own ideas!
