Junk — You Might Have to Pay $1,500 to Remove It. Don’t Get Scammed, Here’s How to Easily Save $200 or More.
Tumblr media
1–800-GOT-JUNK, In-The-Bin, JUST JUNK, and the many other companies do one thing — take your junk to the dump — but if you have a bunch of junk make sure to be smart as this might be easiest $200 you save in your life.
So here’s the deal. You have a bunch of junk and you are stressing out because you just want it out of your house and out of life. I get it, take a couple deep breathes and read this because being a little tactical will end up saving you a couple hundred dollars or more. And $200 is a hell-of-a-good night out, or a lot of diapers or… you get the point.
So, here’s the thing all junk removal companies have the same operating costs: marketing, wages, dump costs, truck and travel costs, and taxes. Thus, although some companies have slightly better service then others, generally they are all pretty similar in performance but not always in price. In essence, all they do is pick up your junk, drop it off at the dump and take your money. It’s not exactly rocket science. However, the prices they charge you might make you think it was. One truck load of junk can be $600 and if you have heavy materials like glass, bricks and sand then it won’t be long before your bill gets into the thousands.
So, how can you save money on getting your junk to the dump? It’s simple, it’s called take your purchasing power into your own hands. Yes, this means getting multiple quotes and having them bid for your money. “Show me the money Jerry!!!”.
Ok, if your only getting rid of a single TV than just call a few places and get the best price but for larger junk removal needs, the junk companies are going to have to come to your place to see your junk to give you a quote based on how much junk you have. As the price to remove you junk is basically a function of the amount of time it’s going to take for them to put your junk into their bin, the amount your junk weighs and the amount of margin they want to make from your job.
It’s really that simple. All you need to do is take a couple deep breathes and don’t fall into the trap of just calling one junk removal company out of laziness and frustration. Getting a few quotes and getting these companies to bid against each other is the surest way to instantly save $200 or more depending on the size of your job. Generally getting 3 of them to show up at the same time works best that way they will all bid against each other right in front of you.
How am I qualified to write this? I used to work for 1–800-GOT-JUNK not very long ago and I saw this very tactic work in action and I also saw the ridiculous prices people would pay just because they reached a point of extreme vulnerability by being stressed about their junk and just wanting to see it out of their lives. These people are instant prey for junkers and sadly are often significantly overcharged and then laughed about. It’s basically a scaled down version of the wolf of wallstreet played out without all the glitz and glam. So, I hope you take the time to get junkers to bid for your business because if you don’t you’ll easily pay more than you should. I hope this helped and treat your benjamins with some love.

7 Easy Ways to Save More Money Today
Saving more money doesn’t necessarily mean giving up restaurant meals for good or never buying a new outfit again or making all your coffee at home. In fact, there are plenty of ways to save money without making too many sacrifices. The following seven ideas might take a bit of extra effort, but they also have the potential to pay off, right into your bank account.
Save on the little things. Easy to redeem mobile coupons can be found for Burgers, Pizza, oil changes, tanning and more using the free app Seecows. It’s an app that makes it super simple to find great coupons nearby without ever having to pre-purchase the coupons or spend hours every week cutting out coupons in the mail. Seecows can easily help you save an extra $50 to $100 every month.
Get healthy. For people who struggle to stay fit, eating healthy and staying in shape is easier said than done. But for those who are in good shape, you can save a lot of money on life insurance and individual health insurance plans. And as an added bonus, you’ll feel better and have more energy. You don’t have to join a pricey gym, either: You can take up walking or jogging, or even biking. Being healthy can easily help you save an extra $100 every month when you consider the costs of expensive surgeries later on in life.
Rethink auto insurance. Every year, re-examine your auto insurance policy for savings opportunities. For example, consider raising your deductible, which lowers premiums. For older vehicles, evaluate whether you really need collision coverage, which covers damage to your car when your car hits or is hit by another vehicle or object. And make it a habit to compare auto insurance quotes annually, which can be done online in minutes. (While you’re at it, consider taking time to compare other insurance policies that you currently have, including homeowners insurance.) Changing your auto insurance can easily help you save an extra $30 every month.
Improve your credit score. Of all the painless ways to save money, improving your credit score is arguably the most important. From home loans and car loans, to credit cards and auto insurance, a good credit score can save you a small fortune. Over a lifetime, the savings can easily reach tens of thousands of dollars.
Invest on the cheap. Whether you are a passive investor who prefers mutual funds or an active stock and options trader, there are easy ways to save money. For mutual fund investors, stick with funds that have low expense ratios. One rule of thumb is to keep the weighted average expense ratio for all mutual funds under 50 basis points (0.50 percent). Compared to funds that charge well over 1 percent in fees annually, the savings over a lifetime can easily make it into the six figured.
Think triple play. One of the biggest monthly expenses for some is the cost of Internet service, cable and phone. The majority of providers offer discounts when you bundle all three of these services together. Called a triple play, you not only save money, but you also get the convenience of a single bill each month. Haggle on these and you can easily save $50 to $100 every month.
Shop online. There are several benefits to shopping online — convenience being chief among them. But shopping online can also save big money. Many retailers offer special discounts to online shoppers. And virtually every company that sells products or services online offers promo codes, discounts or coupons. Particularly if you have a big purchase, make sure to search the Internet for deals before buying. You can also track discounts and coupons through online tools, including RetailMeNot and PriceGrabber. Saving on just one pair of jeans and you can easily save $100.
With these strategies, you should be able to redirect more of your money into your savings account or into your next vacation — I’ll let you decide which.

How to Capitalize on the Next Digital Goldrush.
What is the next digital Goldrush?
From Facebook followers, to Twitter followers, to Instagram followers, to Snapchat followers… Where is going to be the next platform where everyday people can grow a following and charge brands to reach their audience?
The answer is Seecows and its much more hyper-local than the broad based peer-to-peer platforms of before. This new platform will give rise to a different type of influencer who can capitalize on what might be the next biggest digital Goldrush: A Seecows Club Following.
Tumblr media
What is Seecows?
Seecows is the social platform designed for promotions. On Seecows businesses can publish promotions, work with Seecows club owners and leverage the Seecows popular algorithm to distribute their promotions for free via the crowd.
On Seecows, consumers are able to use Seecows as their primary destination to never miss a great promotion nearby. Consumers are able to follow their favourite businesses, join exclusive clubs and use the popular and location feeds to quickly find the best promotions nearby.
Tumblr media
What is a Seecows Club?
A Seecows club allows anyone to create a following around a promotional theme, location, or interest.
By running a Seecows club like “L.A. Promos” or “NYC Beer Lovers” or “Harvard Students” people can follow your club and receive a push notification whenever you publish a new promotion.
Running a Seecows club for a niche or local audience is a great way to provide value by organizing and curating which promotions will be sent to your audience and charging businesses a fee to reach your audience - including the ability to charge businesses a fee per redemption which previously has been near impossible to do.
Tumblr media
Monthly Revenue Potential for a Seecows Club Owner

Tumblr media
Advertising Arbitrage Opportunity
The word arbitrage is used when you can buy something in one market and sell it in another market for a higher price with relative certainty.
A Seecows Club follower is worth much more than a Twitter or Instagram follower since your followers are subscribing to nothing but promotions from you which in turn your able to charge businesses a fee per view or a fee per redemption to reach your follower base.
This creates a massive advertising arbitrage opportunity of converting Instagram/Twitter/Facebook followers into Seecows Club followers. As every 1,000 followers you gain on Seecows is worth as much as $12,000/year in annual income to the club owner.

Tumblr media
Why are Seecows followers worth more than other social followers?
It’s all about the marketing funnel.
Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat platforms are mainly awareness building channels which are at the top of the marketing funnel.
Seecows is a promotions based platform meaning that a follower on Seecows is much more likely to be a lot more valuable to a business as that person has expressed interests in getting a businesses promotion organized by the club owner instead of the businesses post being mainly an interruption on other platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat.
Tumblr media
Making Money From a Following Has Never Been Easier.
The hardest part about monetizing a new audience has been convincing businesses that the money they spend advertising with you will bring them back more money in return. With Seecows, this problem has been solved by being able to easily charge businesses a success based fee.
With Seecows, a club owner is able to charge a business a “fee per redemption” to advertise to their audience. This takes away the number one fear a business owner faces and in turn makes it much easier for Club owners to work with local businesses and make more money.
Tumblr media
Why are mobile promotions a great medium for business owners?

6. Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds by Charles Mackay
Ultimately, marketing means understanding groups of people and how they think and using these understanding to move them into action. The best marketers are brilliant studiers of what drives human behaviors. Even though technology has changed over the decades, our brains have not, so it shouldn't be surprising that in 1841, Charles Mackay captured the essence of our bonehead group-think. Read this, and you'll never be surprised by events like the Great Recession or the popularity of the Kardashians.
Best quote: "We find that whole communities suddenly fix their minds upon one object, and go mad in its pursuit; that millions of people become simultaneously impressed with one delusion, and run after it, till their attention is caught by some new folly more captivating than the first."

7. Trust Me, I’m Lying: Confessions of a Media Manipulator by Ryan Holiday
Do you want more PR for your business? Then Ryan’s book is a must. His book will help you understand how today’s online media works and how to get your message to spread. Ryan Holiday was the director of marketing at American Apparel by age twenty-one. Unlike the big players in the retail place, he had virtually no marketing budget to play with and these constraints drove the insights that he unpacks in his book. He understood the fundamentals and economics of the media system and how to manipulate it. Read this book to really understand how journalists and bloggers think, how to get your message across on a virtually no budget and realize just how corrupt and awful the system can be.

8. Selling the Invisible: A Field Guide to Modern Marketing by Harry Beckwith
Powerful, practical advice on marketing and selling services and intangibles. The short lessons are easy to read, yet thought-provoking and entertaining. Most lessons contain examples from the sales and marketing efforts of companies, or anecdotes from the author’s experience. The examples and stories work well for illustrating his points, but I prefer to see claims backed by broader research and statistical evidence. Based on the author's twenty-five years of experience with thousands of business professionals, this book delivers its wisdom with unforgettable and often surprising examples--from Federal Express, Citicorp, and a growing Greek travel agency to an ingenious baby-sitter, Fran Lebowitz, and the colors of oranges and lemons.

BONUS: Playing to Win: How Strategy Really Works by A.G. Lafley & Roger L. Martin
This is the most clear book on what business strategy is, how you can define and execute one for your team. It’s not exactly a marketing book, which is why it’s our bonus book; however, it outlines the strategic approach A.G. Lafley used to double P&G’s sales, quadruple its profits, and increase its market value by more than $100 billion when Lafley was first CEO.
This is a great book to read as you should be able to understand strategy just as much as much as understanding marketing. Whether it is for outlining your own or advising clients. The book does an important job of defining what strategy is not so you can catch yourself if you are off track.
