Abstract Naked Girl (swipe for details) . . Today I want to show you one of my commission works based on a sent in photography. Her idea was to get her explicit but not too detailed and we both love the outcome. I was allowed to use the image for publication. . . Done in watercolor with only ultramarine blue, mahagoni, sepia and a lot of water this one has a unique touch with a lot of granulation. My favorite parts of it are the hair and the breasts with the high granulating pigments. . . There is no original painting available but the motive is available as high quality art print. By having one myself I think the A4 size (20x30 cm) suits the painting best wherever it is placed. . . Introducing some new color studies. This time Daniel Smith Piemonite Genuine from the Primatek watercolor series. It a natural deep red brown tone with extra high granulation. It's wide color range is from deep black/brown/red to light salmon. So far all colors I got from the Primatek series have this very high rage of tones depending on the amount of used water. . . I have used this color for quite some time now and can say it is just beautiful. If mixed with warm colors or just used in monochrome this look is just impressive. There are also beautiful greys possible when mixed with different blues. I love the heavy granulation and if you are into earthy tones I definitely recommend this to buy! . . To get yourself an idea I did a big sheet on color handling techniques, some examples and also some finished paintings with the Piemonite Genuine as a strong main color. You can see them by swiping through the image carousel. . . This is my third private color and I am impressed by all of them. I do not know which one to get next!? Maybe you can give me an advice - I am for sure into heavy granulation. Abstract bamboo artprint (swipe for details) . . After handling my watercolor artprint setup for weeks it is time for some detail view updates. . . Here goes a abstract bamboo watercolor painting done in monochrome color (!) With Daniel Smith's Apatite Genuine color. The paint is on my favorite reprint paper with very rough leather structure. I have not printed a single picture on it without coming out beautiful because this Matches the watercolor 200%. Print size is A4 format (21x30 cm). . . By viewing the detail pictures when swiping you can see the wonderful matching structure of the paper and the look&feel of it. . . After trying out different methods I reduced the set to following specs: - 160gsm, non satinated - 160gsm, satinated - 260gsm linen structured - 260gsm leather structured . . In particular the leather structured prints of my watercolor works leave stunning impressions when they reviewed. The photos of them already bombastic but that's nothing compared to taking them into your hand and look at them closely. Can't express how happy I am with them after trying a lot of services and shop I now got the perfect partner for them. . . I would love to read about your opinions in the community to get more feedback. Maybe you do also prints and have some advices for me, too 😉 . . After I always wanted this painting from Dali I finally did my own interpretation on it. Excited to pin it to my wall after I got the fitting frame for it! . . On this I realized it's quite difficult to get a lot of details (elephants) on the paper with watercolor when the canvas is too small. And it is already 30x40cm big. In a future far away I will have to go bigger 😇... . .
