“Ariel sold her voice for legs just because of a guy“
Meanwhile Ariel with legs;
Ariel already loved the human world long before meeting Eric (you don’t get a collection like hers overnight) and when she finally got a chance to explore it, she took it.
Ursula made it more about Eric than Ariel ever did.

It is your sworn duty, when you're in your 30's, to do something every day that would have gotten you viciously bullied in high school.

the thing about buffy summers is that you are not watching the same show as the rest of us if you dont spend the entire time wanting her to be happy and okay. so when her and spike get to the point in the show and their relationship where you realize thats all he wants too, (unlike angel and riley, i would argue) of course we want them to end up together. why wouldn't we. we see how happy she could be with him and how much he cares about dawn and she deserves all of that in her life!!!

Got hired on the spot for a second (but non seasonal!!!) retail gig.
Excited, very much so. I think I’m the perfect fit for the new store. And I have no ethical drama selling product there.
There’s danger tho.
The fact that they have a 30% discount is great.
The fact that they sell LEGO is…
I just won’t be allowed to take any methods of payment into the store.

I start to speak
I freeze
I question
I challenge my own version of reality
Paused in contemplation
Wondering when and what
Even why
Answers in the silence
Lead to more questions
Rather than the sign
It’s time to jump

Getting kidnapped as a superhero is rather embarrassing, but at least you were certain that your friends would rescue you. Which is why it came as a massive shock to you to see one of your villains bust the door of you cell open and unlock your restraints.

Every night for the last couple of weeks I’ve heard a knocking at my window. Well, something, banging into the glass.
I imagine it to be some kind of bug, drawn to the light in the dark country air.
(Just now, again, the loudest one of all.)
They remind me of a night, two decades gone, when my girls appeared at my window, and bid me come anon.
Now I know it’s crazy, to even think it’s true.
Sometimes I wish the banging were but pebbles, and the face I’d see were you.

I love Buffy’s fascination with words like not just her puns and slang and distinctive way of talking but her curiosity about where certain idioms or expressions come from (hand over fist, the whole nine yards, etc) I just know my girl would love learning about the etymology of certain words

Well argued. Although so much of my art has been processing all of *gestures wildly* that, and I don’t know how to… shift.
I also can’t do anything with everything because *confidentiality*
learning that constantly thinking about and analyzing and interpreting my traumas isn’t actually healing . and don’t get me wrong its made me a very effective communicator and emotionally intelligent person. but actually im supposed to be moving on and experiencing new things and happiness and stuff and not just compulsively reliving and recontextualizing the past. oops!
