THOR REVIEW: "Thor: Ragnarok" is the quintessential Thor film. Read more...
Thor: Ragnarok is the quintessential Thor film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe subverting the tropes audiences have come to expect with charming humor and brilliant direction from Taika Watiti. Ragnarok is the third film in the Thor series within the larger MCU that brings back the character after two years of not being on the big screen (with the exception of a cameo in Doctor Strange).…

Don’t let aesthetic blogs fool you, the real 90s aesthetic is “urban” and “attitude”-filled versions of classic cartoon characters on mass-produced merchandise

#4.  Night Of The Living Dead (1990)
Directed by Tom Savini
Quotes
They’re coming to get you, Barbara! - Johnnie
Yeah, they’re dead. They’re all messed up. - Sheriff McClelland
They’re dead, but they’re comin’ right for us! - Tom
They’re so slow. We could just walk right past ‘em and we wouldn’t even have to run. We could just walk right past ‘em. We have the guns. If we’re careful we could get away. - Barbara
This is something no one’s ever heard about, and no one’s ever seen before. This is hell on earth. - Ben
Trivia
Tom Savini’s originally wanted to start the film in black-and-white, then slowly add color.
Bill 'Chilly Billy’ Cardille appears as a reporter in both the 1968 version and the remake.
Laurence Fishburne and Eriq La Salle both auditioned for the role of Ben.
Contains numerous references to Dawn of the Dead (1978).
The characters take refuge in an isolated farmhouse early in the film. Next to one of the doors, visible in shots of the exterior of the house, is the name of the owner - “M Celeste”, in nail-on letters in a script font. This seems to be homage to the sailing ship “Marie Celeste”, which was discovered in the Atlantic Ocean unmanned and under sail heading towards the Strait of Gibraltar in 1872. Her crew was not on board and the only lifeboat gone, but the ship had no damage and was sea worthy. Like the ship, the house was (relatively) undamaged by it’s ordeal and could have been immediately occupied. According to Tom Savini’s commentary on the DVD, the name is deliberate reference to the state of the house.
