This is to answer @naturallycrestfallen ‘s ask about newgan for one of my posts

1)  Who loves to lay out in the sun and who hisses when the shades are opened?

Being from England, Newkirk is not the biggest fan of the sun while Hogan will sunbath for hours when Newkirk lets him.

2) Would they ever wear matching oufits?

Not full outfits but they totally have the “if lost return to ____” and “i am _____” shirts.

3) Who kisses the others hand to reassure them that everything is going to be ok?

Newkirk kisses Hogan’s hand when Hogan is feeling stressed and overwhelmed. 

4) Who gets exiled to the couch the most?

Hogan 100 percent. Luckily Newkirk needs his heater to sleep so Hogan’s never exiled long.

5) Who has to walk away from a fight so they don’t do something they’ll regret?

They both do. Hogan has a little bit more control because he has been in a leadership position for a while, but they both have short tempers.

6) Who gets baby fever constantly? 

Newkirk while they’re in Stalag 13, but once the war is over, Hogan wants to settle down and have a family. 

7) Can they both use chopsticks? If no, who teaches who?

Newkirk teaches Hogan who gets very frustrated with himself, so Newkirk just feeds them both.

8) Who has the more complicated Starbucks order?

HOGAN. He gets a venti iced coffee no classic add heavy cream and three sugars with light ice. 

9) Who is the cat person and who is the dog person?

Newkirk’s the cat person and Hogan’s the dog person. They compromise by getting an aquarium. 

10) Which person stays up all night finishing a book and which one carries them to bed?

Newkirk will stay up all night for “just one more chapter guv’ “ until Hogan has to carry him to bed. 

11) Who has the weird taste in music?

Hogan

12) Who cooks and who does the dishes?

Newkirk cooks ( though Lebeau refuses to eat it when he comes over), and Hogan does the dishes. 

13) Who’s the funniest drunk?

Hogan, even though it takes a lot to get either of them drunk.

14) Who takes blackmail pictures of the other when they’re sleepy, drunk, on pain medication, etc. ?

They both do it to each other but Hogan does it the most and at the most random moments. 

15) Who texts using mainly emojis?

Neither of them really use that many emojis but Hogan uses them more than Newkirk.

16) Who’s the neat freak and who is a disorganized mess?

Hogan is the neat freak because he was raised in a military household. Newkirk knows where everything is............it just looks like a tornado hit his office and nightstand, and dresser, and closet, and everything he has stuff in. 

17) What’s their go to movie?

A Knight’s Tale

18) Who playfully pulls the other back into bed?

Newkirk pulls Hogan back into bed while Hogan tries to get up with the sun. 

19) What do they do for each other’s birthday?

Newkirk brings Hogan breakfast in bed and spoils him all day while they stay at home until dark when he takes Hogan to a drive in movie.

Hogan takes Newkirk out on an all day date to the park and their favorite resturants and long walks. 

20) Who takes candid pictures of the other and then uses the picture as their lock screen?

Newkirk takes pictures of Hogan all the time. He has a different lock screen every day.

How did you first get into Rat Patrol?

Awesome question! I started with M*A*S*H because my mom watched it a lot. Then one day when I was home with the flu, all that was on T.V was Match Game with Richard Dawson, where I became obsessed with him, which led me to Hogan’s Heroes. A while after that, I got involved in the Hogan’s Heroes fandom which then led me to the Rat Patrol because they often overlap. So long story short, I found it because of my love of other older T.V shows and interest in the Africa campaign of WW2 (and because Gary Raymond is to die for).

Troy/Moffitt for the ship ask?

I love this ship so much!! Troy and Moffitt are such a cute old married couple that fall more in love every day

1) Who kills the scary bugs? Neither one of them are scared of most bugs but Moffitt hates spiders and will make Troy kill them all, even Grandaddy Long Legs which Troy tires to just take outside.

2) Who wakes up first? Troy is an early riser, but he’s not a functioning human until after his first cup of coffee.

3) Who is the most ticklish? Moffitt. Troy’s never laughed so hard in his life when he saw a 6′2 man curl into a ball and flail after he accidentally tickled the inside of Moffitt’s kneecap.

4) Who remembers what the other’s favorite dish is at any restaurant? Moffitt loves to order for both of them, he always knows what Troy’s in the mood for. 

5) Most common argument? Whose turn it is to do the dishes/laundry/mow the grass/other household chores. Eventually they make a schedule and tape it to the fridge.

6) Who drives and who rides shotgun? Troy drives because Moffitt refuses to learn how to drive on the right side of the road. (The wrong side as he puts it) They take turns choosing the music.

7) Who would sing their child back to sleep? They both do. Moffitt sings soft slow songs that aren’t necessarily lullabies and Troy sings the bedtime songs that his mom sang to him. 

8) How do they deal with being away from each other for extended periods of time? A lot of calling and texting and Facetime. At night, they both plug their laptops in and Facetime each other. They’ll stay on the line all night just so they can hear the other sleeping. They try to avoid being apart at all costs because after Africa they both have separation anxiety.

9) What’s the theme of their wedding? Simple elegance. They invite family and a few friends (even though Troy has a giant family it still feels intimate). They keep the wedding very simple and traditional with a few personal touches. (ex: they exchange a set of dog tags in addition to their rings)

10) What is THEIR movie? The one they can quote and don’t even have to pay attention to on a stay at home date night. A League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Troy loves mocking Moffitt with how similar he is to Sean Connery, and Moffitt makes fun of Troy for shooting like Tom Sawyer.

11) What position are they in when they fall asleep together? When they wake up? When they fall asleep they are on their sides facing each other with their foreheads touching, completely tangled up together. Most of the time, they wake up spooning after one of them, mainly Moffitt, rolled over and the other got cold. 

12) Who has difficulties with spelling and grammar? Troy, though he hides it well, is dyslexic, so he has difficulties with spelling and reading aloud. Especially when he’s tired and starts having to translate his thoughts from Greek, which he grew up speaking. In Africa, it would take him twice as long to fill out paperwork until Moffitt started helping him.

Well this is new, I have been faced with a ship I am not on. This should be interesting, I will do my best but fair warning I haven’t done anything for this ship before so please bare with me.
