Calliope’s imprisonment is so relevant to the current film/tv industry today. And the exploitation of women, in particular, by powerful men for their own gain. I’m glad they chose to continue the ongoing theme that we saw, in the comics, of The Sandman’s platform being used to convey important messages relevant to the times. Just like Death raising awareness for HIV/AIDS and safe sex in the 80’s, now we’re shown just how far some men will go to get what they want.

So, the diner scene. Everybody died and it was clear that the catastrophe affected a significant number of people. But, the show just…forgets about that. We don’t get any confirmation that it actually happened or that it was perhaps reversed. We’re basically left in the dark. Weird that they never addressed that.
