Maria’s plan to try and hack the drone disappeared forever as the symbiote tore it appart. Maria was really close to facepalming herself, a drone gone rogue would have caught less attention than one totally disappearing from the feed. She looked quickly at the building, only to notive the heavy arm patrol. Well, there went their luck. “We’re moving, but not forward. We’ve gotta wait for Spidey’s report.” Which should be coming anytime soon, but nothing so far. She made a sign for Venom to move to the side, trying to cautiously get out of the path and possible sight of the men coming. Taking the broken drone too, as to not leave a clue that they were under attack. “Spidey, do you copy? What do you see?”

Sam landed next to Bucky to walk in with him. “You know, just because I got wings doesn’t mean I’m only good in the sky.” That didn’t mean he wasn’t going to do it. He engaged Redwing again to go do a scan of the shelves. Most everything was pretty simple, but Redwing caught two things that were a little alarming. “Redwing is picking up a room in the Northeast corner but it can’t get a good read on anything. It’s also picking up someone moving through the vents towards that room. Also two bogeys between us and that room and a third in the Northwest side of the building. So, Cap, what do you want to do?”

Spidey put his hand to the radio in his ear, trying to figure out exactly what was wrong with it. “Maria? Maria?” Damn. He made sure to cling to the ceiling, his spider-sense gave him the idea that there was something bad about the floor. “This is fine Spidey. You’re trapped in a room with…” His eyes narrowed at the safe, “Well hello there..” He web zipped down to the top of the safe and studied the lock, “Maria I found a safe, I don’t know if you can hear me or..”

“Stuck in a room with a bunch of stuff…” He pulled out his camera, thankful he carried it everywhere, and snapped some photos. “Guess being a photographer came in handy.” he muttered before snatching one of the files with webbing to get a better look, he didn’t have time to shoot everything in here, but his curiousity didn’t let him leave the room without opening the safe.

The Safe wasn’t as hard as he anticipated to open, and when he did the young man nearly fell off the safe. While it was an awkward position to snap photos on, he was used to it having been taking photos of himself as Spider-man since he was in high school. Once he was confident he had enough photos he aimed another web line at the vent and yanked himself forward, eager to rejoin the other members of the team.

Venom was on the edge to not listen but Eddie made it very clear to obey. So he did follow. From his new position he saw the guards and let his tongue over his teeth.  Eddie whispered something in his ear, he did not want to listen but then did because the man started to sing.  “We say, we eat them and take their uniform , Eddie will take ooover after the eating. “

       If James smiled, it wasn’t visible, but he did. “I know Sam, but right now, you’re the only one who can.” he reassured him. He waited for his intel by watching the south office window. He noticed a guard, maybe too well-armed and didn’t trust the main entrance. So he put his attention back to Sam. He frowned. “Someone in the vents? ... Are we alone on this at least?” Luke got tensed and so did Bucky. This could make it go all wrong. Barnes clenched his tooth for a moment as he saw one of the guards Sam talked about walking towards them. “Luke, go Northwest, take the guard down and check for the stolen goods and anything interesting. Sam... We’re gonna check who that is.” Bucky didn’t wait and surprised the guard by sliding beneath him, putting him down on the floor, knocking him off and hiding him where the other guard was. He then quickly made his way to the northeast room. “Let’s go, Sam.”

Natasha just gave him a glare. It would be enough to show him that she was being serious. “You know what I mean, James. There is no win in this situation, I get that. Just maybe….maybe you think about getting out of town, just for a bit. Wait until the heat starts picking up somewhere else so that you’re not stuck in a place where everyone is on such high alert.”

       “Yeah? And where would I go? Switzerland? I promised my help to many people if needed. I can’t just leave like that, Talia.” He sighed. “I wish I could go on retirement. That’s also why I pled guilty at the trial. To rest. But it seems like I can’t. There’s always... Something.”

“Anytime, man,” Sam replied with a smirk and a shrug, “Just don’t make it habit that I have to knock sense into you on a regular basis. Otherwise I will grab that shield and hit you with it.”

       “I’ll try. Don’t make any promises, though.” he smiled back and patted his shoulder. “Now, enough. Go get me a sandwich, Chocolatino.

Sounds of screwdivers working were going on and off while Tony was working on Bucky’s arm. Maintenance on a prosthetic was something that ought to be done weekly, especially for a model like that. “Well …last time you killed someone on national TV, it was 1963 …this is not your mess, you’re a low target” he changed a wire. “I’m Tony fucking Stark, they know I’m always somehow in Captain America’s business…” Tony joked. 

       Bucky chuckled. “63 was a mission. Here, I suffered consequences but made my own choices. This is my mess too. Jail was honestly a better situation than what I have right now.” he shrugged with his good shoulder to not disturb Tony. “Yeah, maybe you shouldn’t prove them right.” he smiled. “After all, you already lost the shield so easily...”

“Maybe you should find less lethal ways of getting exercise, James.”

       “Is that worry?” He stopped joking after that, not wanting to go too far. “What should I do then when they come at me every three days or so? I have people to protect from them Nat...” he spoke in a more serious but sweet tone. “If I could be on the other side, I’d do it.”

“Oh, well that’s great news,” Clint said, ducking as he missed another taser shot that was definitely meant for him. “Might take me a minute to shake these guys. You got a good rendezvous spot?”

       “The docks, two blocks east from where we spotted them? Bring the rest of them, I’ll help you.” he talked while making his way back there, the people already being taken somewhere else by Luke.

       Bucky actually chuckled. “Oh, they already had a Captain Russia. Not a story worth talking about though.” He smiled then. “Thanks, Sam.”

“Hey, I’m just saying it how I see it, man. But let me drop some knowledge on you - you are just one man. You’re trying to do too much all at once. You think you gotta do this alone, but from where I’m standing, you got a lot of people that can help you out but you just don’t want to ask. You were a Sergeant in the Army, you know that being a leader is more than just taking care of your soldiers. It’s about working as a team to accomplish the mission. Not one man made a difference in an entire war - not even Steve.”

        Bucky looked up at Sam, opened his mouth... but closed it. He was right. Steve, he had the Howling Commandos with him, he had him, he had Dum Dum, all the others. Now he had the Avengers, or what was left hidden in the shadows like him. He nodded at that and thought about that war for some time. He chuckled. “Yeah, that’s the American version. Back in Russia, they had that... idea. One agent at the right place, at the right time, would be more efficient than an army. They weren’t.. wrong, to say the least.” He sighed. “But it didn’t bring up any good, I guess.”
