I don’t know how many of you guys are well aware of the Japanese Production of Newsies but it’s my destiny to find out everything there is to the Japanese production! Is there going to be a released version of the production? The trailers on youtube have professional shots so it has me curious if they’ll release it on dvd/blueray?! It would be a dream 🙏

Also curious if there are any changes to the story of sorts or songs?… also see that they’ve advertised Medda and Pulitzer as more prominent characters which makes me chuckle hehehe… ARGEHSHSHSH I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING THERE IS TO THIS SPECIFIC PRODUCTION 🙏🙏🙏 If any of you know ANYTHING LET ME KNOW

cause wdym we write paragraphs upon paragraphs of religious imagery

wdym we write paragraphs on the gay subtext between most characters (mainly jack and davey, tho)

wdym we are in an endless search to find the original script

I feel like Davey was the most disappointed one of Denton when he told the newsies goodbye bc he actually really looked up to Denton as Davey really wished to become a writer or a journalist someday as well thinking this probably won’t happen bc especially being a writer won’t bring you real money and he has to support his family. So when he met Denton he met his new role model and I also think that Davey appreciated that Denton didn’t only see him as the ‘second in command’ , ‘Jacks friend’ or ‘the walking mouth’ but actually as someone with great ideas and a smart mind especially after he even asked Davey if he was the leader of the strike. I feel like even though Davey loved his family more than anything, none of them actually understood Davey but De ton did because he was just like him and Denton saw Davey as the son he never got to have. I just know how much it must’ve hurt Denton that Davey was actually mad at him and refused to say goodbye to him

I HC THAT BOTH JACK AND DAVEY ARE CAT PEOPLE AND THIS ALIGNS SO WELL THIS IS SO HIM

I have a really silly headcanon that Jack has a cat 😨

Like, the kitten is not in its best condition, missing an eye and all hurt, but he's trying

He would have a little box for the cat to sleep in, it wouldn't be very fancy, but he has a huge amount of consideration for it

He would try his best to spend time with it, even more so in the winter, even covering it with his own clothes

( Bonus points if the cat is black, because they are "bad luck" and Jack knows very well what it's like to feel that way )
