Title: Let me carry your burden

‘Can you see us, Baji-san?’ you found yourself asking the cold grave at one point during your visit before you found yourself frowning at your own foolishness.

As if a grave could answer. Whether there was an afterlife and how did it look like you didn’t know, but you were pretty certain that you would not get an answer from the dead boy whose grave you had been visiting for the past few weeks.

It doesn’t really work like that, does it?

You gathered your things and stood up calmly paying your respect one more time before you decided to leave.

To anyone who would have seen you and didn’t know you, it would look as if you came to visit the grave of someone dear to you. A friend, a family member, or someone else who was close. However, if you were seen by anyone who did know you or Baji Keisuke, they would have been confused why it was you who was there since you barely knew him after all.

The weather was indecisive today. It seemed it would rain almost every other minute with how grey the sky looked, but so far not a single drop appeared on the ground.

Even with an umbrella and properly clothed for the occasion, you would still prefer to be home before the worst of it.

It was almost as if it was a premonition of what was to come because while you were walking down the stairs that lead down from the cemetery, you saw a person standing in your way causing you to flinch as if the ghost of Baji Keisuke appeared in front of you himself.

Oh no! No! No! NO!

Without meaning to you stopped and watched in shock and horror as probably the last person, you wanted to see stood there a couple of steps in front of you.

Your traitorous heart speeded up as it often did when you saw Matsuno Chifuyu, but your stomach twisted in an unkind way as you would much rather have it that he didn’t see you here of all places. You were baffled that even if lost in your thoughts you missed Chifuyu approaching you from below the stairs like that.

There was literally no other way to enter or exit the graveyard, which meant even if you really wished it didn’t, you had to carry on walking toward him to be able to get off the grounds.

Swallowing saliva and as much cowardness as you could, you forced yourself to start walking again hoping, it was just a coincidence that he was here. Perhaps, he would finally start to visit the grave himself freeing you from the self-duty you put upon your shoulders the moment you overheard the conversation between the some Toman members.

‘But Chifuyu hasn’t come to Baji’s grave since he was buried. It doesn’t look like he will come any time soon,’ you overheard on your on the street one day flinching for a second before you carried on walking your mind racing.

That’s…not right.

It felt so wrong to you. The idea that Chifuyu out of all the people wouldn’t visit Baji’s grave caused something uncomfortable to twist inside your stomach. The idea to take his place, so to speak, happened on a whim. After overhearing that conversation, you simply thought too often about Chifuyu and Baji and decided that if you thought about them so much, you should probably visit the grave yourself. But once you started you couldn’t seem to stop finding it almost poetical that someone like you who had been crushing on Matsuno Chifuyu since you were a child would take over his duties to visit Baji. A part of you felt as if even if he didn’t know you were comforting or helping him no matter how delusional that sounded.

I just want to be useful somehow.

You knew it would seem strange to people. You didn’t really know Baji, and Chifuyu didn’t even know who you were so who could he understand you were doing this for him? If you explained it out loud surely people would assume you were someone weird, so you rather attempted to keep it a secret. Such was the reason, why now seeing the boy, you were doing this all in the first place left you so shaken and nervous.

How could I ever explain this without sounding weird?

The closer you got, your anxiety skyrocketed and somewhere in your panic state you thought it would be a good idea to bow and quietly greet Chifuyu, ‘Good afternoon.’

He didn’t say anything, but his green eyes were sharp like a cat on you now. You felt as if you crossed him somehow and would now end up in a great deal of trouble.

Why even now he must look so damn…handsome?!

‘Excuse me,’ you said again feeling your last bits of calmness slipping away between your fingers as you tried to walk past him, but he didn’t move to cause you to have to step aside onto the grass. Was he angry with you? Why didn’t he just step aside?

What if he knows and hates me now?

‘Hey,’ he said, and you mentally cursed wishing he hadn’t said anything at all because what he said next caused your back to start sweating, ‘I remember you from Baji’s tsuya.’

Your lips pressed into a tight line, and it shattered something inside you, that the first time Chifuyu ever spoke to you was to say this of all things.

You didn’t look at him keeping your back to him even if you felt him looking at you now feeling the more, he spoke the more you sweated hating that this was the first time he ever even acknowledged you and that you were such a mess about it, ‘You paid your respect to Baji’s mom, then me and the Toman Captains. At least those who were allowed to come.’

You swallowed a bit unsure of how you could get out of this situation before you gave up and nodded wincing at how stuttered and weak your answer was, ‘Y-yes.’

‘I didn’t really…,’ he started and paused a bit before he continued sounding a bit less intimidating now or like he was pissed at you maybe recognizing his attitude too and wishing to make amends, ‘I didn’t really think about you…I’m sorry, I didn’t properly thank you or anything then.’

Your eyes widened upon hearing those words.

Thank you? You never have to thank me for anything! Least of all this!

You turned to fully look at him trying to find some space to stand on the stairs this close to him until deciding to take a step below him as you felt the distance was a better option.

Once faced with his unfairly handsome face and knowing for the first time ever his attention was solely on you, it was hard to remember to stand your ground, but ultimately you forced yourself once again to do just that.

‘No, Matsuno-san,’ you shook your head your voice firm but quiet as you meant every word, ‘You were-you are going through a lot. Please don’t worry yourself with that-,’

-me.

You took a deep breath, and despite your insecurities, you offered him a smile, you wanted to look hopeful and encouraging, ‘Have a nice evening.’

This could have been it. Your first real encounter with him. It wasn’t the best, but you knew it wouldn’t be given the circumstances. It was the reason, why you didn’t plan to talk to him at least for another month or two at least until he would heal a bit more. You owed him that much.

Chifuyu didn’t say anything, and the way he kept on looking at you left you feeling like he didn’t really like you all that much which hurt if you were being completely honest with yourself.

It would have been better if you never even acknowledged me than to look at me like this, Chifuyu, you thought and couldn’t help but feel that he was cruel to you for some reason even if that couldn’t be it since he didn’t really know you.

You rose your hand to wave at him and turn around to leave hoping that the next time, you would gain the courage to speak to him it would go better, but before you could he spoke again stopping you on track.

‘You come here often.’

You didn’t just stop, you froze once again, and you hoped that even if he could only see part of your face as you were in the process of turning away from him, he wouldn’t be able to tell his words got to you.

No! you couldn’t help but think desperate as this was already bad, and you feared if he knew about your visits and reasoning for them, it would only turn out worse.

‘Baji’s mom,’ he said, and your intern bubble of struggles snapped back into reality at how broken his voice sounded.

You hated hearing him sound like that. He was always so joyful with Baji whenever you saw them making you smile just a tiny bit to see him in such a way, and secretly hope that one day, it would be you who could get him to be that happy. It was in such contrast to how he was now that it broke your heart some more and forced you to turn back to face him even if you wanted nothing more than for him than not to see you again.

‘She mentioned someone often came and brought flowers and lightened the candle. She caught someone matching your description leaving a couple of times. It was you, right?’

Your eyes watched his face as now despite his sharp green eyes, it seemed softer yet sadder, no doubt because he was speaking of something regarding his Baji.

You swallowed again feeling like you were heading toward a trap, but at the same time found it hard not to answer when Chifuyu looked like this. The urge to reach out and comfort him somehow was so strong you almost took another step toward him.

‘Uh, yes, sometimes,’ you attempted to say as casually as possible, but you felt too nervous and were certain it could be detected in your voice too.

Chifuyu shook his head, ‘No, not sometimes,’ he called you out on your weaknesses lie, and pressed on not taking a step closer, but sort of leaning toward you making it seem like he had which only got your heart to pound faster and sweat to gather across your skin, ‘Every other day.’

His eyes seemed sharper now, and you really hated that it seemed his anger was directed at you of all people when he revealed, ‘I followed you this week, and you came here two times already. So don’t pretend like you didn’t!’

Your face was on fire now from the embarrassment, and you started to shake your head unsure if you wanted to deny it or confirm it, ‘I just… pay my respects,’ you said trying to sum up all that you had been doing for the last couple of weeks.

‘Why?’ Chifuyu asked, and you were certain except for the first time, you ever saw him, back when he was younger, and you first opened up a place for him inside your heart, you never saw him this angry, ‘Who are you?! You go to our school, right? Who was Baji-san to you?’

Your tongue almost supplied no one, but that sounds awfully harsh to say to Chifuyu for who Baji Keisuke was everything, so instead, you tried to be merciful but kept your reasons to yourself and shrug your shoulders, ‘I’m just paying my respects. We didn’t know each other that well.’

‘That’s a lie,’ Chifuyu accused you again before he took a step closer to you which caused you to take a step back almost missing a step. You didn’t want to discuss this with him. You knew what you were doing was odd, weird even. You knew it wasn’t something anyone would understand, and you didn’t want your Chifuyu, the boy, you had been crushing on since you were younger of all people to think you were crazy. It just couldn’t be explained properly for it not to come off as strange, and given how often you knew people thought this of you, you refused to have someone you cared about and admired so much like Chifuyu think the same.

You shook your head again and quietly let out, ‘It’s not.’

‘Baji-san knew you,’ said the blond with his sharp eyes still on you as he tried to make another step toward you, ‘He pointed you out to me a few times and said that person’s pretty cute, don’t you think? He never cared for such things. Not once was he interested in a person like that, so why was he interested in you and why are you lying about not knowing him and coming here so often?’

He looked properly upset with you now, and it broke your heart in the worse way.

The umbrella between your palms was being crushed by how tightly you were gripping it.

You felt tears at the corner of your eyes knowing it wouldn’t be too long before you would start crying as you were never good with confrontations least of all this one that would reveal and cost you too much.

Shaking your head fearing the worst, you decided the only thing you could do was to run.

Looking back it wasn’t a good strategy as the stairs were pretty small, and you could have stumbled down, but you couldn’t help yourself but want to get away before Chifuyu would hate you even more than he must have at that moment.

Surprisingly, you didn’t stumble on your way down, but in your panic state, you failed to notice the incoming truck until it was coming right at you.

Your eyes widened as the car horn blasted inside your ears, but your feet wouldn’t move as you entered a trance of some sort.

Right before you were certain the car would hit you, you felt a strong grip on your wrist even through the fabric of your clothes, and then a harsh shove toward the direction you just tried to escape from.

You felt the impact as the car speeded past you, but it was nothing compared to the one you would have felt if it had hit you.

A second hand gripped your arm and yanked you a bit away only to be met with wide green eyes and a mixture of terror and anger radiating from inside them, ‘WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! YOU COULD HAVE DIED!’

Your mouth felt dry and even if you opened and closed it no words came out as you remained shocked over what just happened as well as the adrenaline of running had filled the space in every cell inside your poor body.

‘DO YOU WANT TO DIE?!’ Chifuyu yelled at you, and he sounded far angrier than he did before when he accused you of lying to him. Before he was angry, but cold almost like the color blue, but now he was very passionate shaking and yelling out loud at you like he was all red.

‘Stupid!’ his voice broke a bit even if he yelled it, and you realized even if his face looked very angry and upset his eyes just looked frightened and caring.

His hands grip on your wrist and arm tightened like he was making sure you understood or like he was making sure he got you, and you were still here, ‘Y-you’re so stupid,’ he said with a dropping volume, ‘You could have died,’ he kept on looking at your face and holding you almost like he didn’t even realize it, ‘I don’t want to have to hold anyone else while they die ever again,’ his confession was like a punch into your gut but not only because it meant he cared, but because you hoped the fact that he was holding Baji as the boy passed away was just a rumor because you couldn’t accept that the whole ordeal of the boy’s death was even more tragic and traumatizing to Chifuyu.

‘Just…shit…look where you’re going,’ he struggled to talk, but you gathered enough of what he was saying and nodded several times while you swore it ready to promise him anything just so he wouldn’t look as broken as he did now, ‘I promise, Matsuno-san.’

Your hands started to ache and on their own, they grabbed a hold of the fabric of his clothing across his chest and started to pull him closer toward you again.

He let himself be pulled and before you knew it his head rested against your shoulder and the one that wasn’t holding onto his clothes dived into his hair.

You were shocked, you managed to do such a thing, but you knew in your heart, it couldn’t be helped, as you felt you would have done anything just to offer him some comfort, just as you did up until now by visiting Baji’s grave in his place.

‘I’m okay. You got to me in time. You saved me,’ you said holding him close for what felt like ages. You would have freaked out and perhaps later when the adrenaline and stress left your body, you would, but for now, you pushed all those thoughts aside in favor to be present for this sad boy, who really didn’t deserve all that happened to him.

He breathed hard enough that the air slid between the fabric of your own clothes and touched your skin as he started to speak, ‘D-don’t…don’t do that again. I don’t want to…’

‘Okay, I promise,’ you assured him even if it was stupid to promise someone you wouldn’t die. You really would have promised him anything just to give him more comfort and make him feel better even if it was a lie.

You weren’t certain, how long you kept on holding onto Chifuyu, but once both of your bodies became free from the tremble and adrenaline, you mutually agreed upon letting each other go and stepping aside.

Both of you were blushing now knowing how inappropriate it was to touch one another when you were just strangers.

‘I’m sorry, I yelled,’ he spoke first, and when your eyes lifted to his face you saw how red it was and were horrified probably realizing how all that he had put you through, ‘That was so uncool. You should hit me.’

‘No,’ you shook your head feeling your own face was warm, and you couldn’t help but smile a bit happy at least now you got to see Chifuyu look so cute and better.

Just then it finally started to rain, and you searched for your umbrella only to realize it was run over by the car, ‘Oh, well, that’s not good.’

When you turned back you found Chifuyu pulling down his hoodie and raising it above his head, ‘Come here.’

You hesitated only for a moment before you returned to him and the two of you silently made your way to a near bus stop to take cover.

Once there it felt so bizarre that all of that happened and that now you were stuck in the rain with Chifuyu as if the moment was right out of some shojo manga.

The rain carried on, and you could feel the chill entering your body even through your clothes as you set at the bus stop next to Chifuyu now almost feeling his body heat but not quite.

After a few silent moments, you felt him start to take glances at you maybe still feeling bad about yelling earlier and unsure what to do now.

‘I’m really sorry I scared you,’ he said once again, and you nodded offering him a small smile as you looked at him, ‘It’s alright. I know I must have really annoyed you.’

He watched you for a moment before he looked down at his hands laying in his lap, ‘I just wanted…Baji-san was my friend. Someone I admired and cared for dearly. I feel…I know I will never learn new things about him. I will never hear anything new from him. I just…you were a part of his life that I don’t know about…I would like to know about that part…please,’ he said, and he looked so vulnerable, you couldn’t do anything else, but nod taking in his now exhausted features.

Taking a deep breath you turned ahead and focused on the rain, ‘The truth is I only ever spoke to Baji-san once. Some guys were trying to take my money, and he stepped in a kick their asses. He was so brutal I was almost afraid for those jerks,’ you confessed and looked at Chifuyu only to see a small grin appear across his face, ‘That sounds like Baji-san alright.’

You nodded with a small smile as well, ‘Even if he was rather harsh and scolded me for walking alone like that in that area. He walked me to the train stop and in a very brutish way was actually very kind,’ you said and recalled the interaction.

‘Ah, you’re Chifuyu’s stalker.’

Your cheeks flared upon hearing that before you bowed down and thanked Baji Keisuke again feeling slightly humiliated that he would call you like that. You weren’t a stalker, in your mind, you simply watched Chifuyu a lot from the distance.

‘Enough of that. Where are you going? I will walk you there, so you don’t get in trouble again. You’re so weak,’ he said laughing a bit, and even if it was a bit insulting it didn’t feel that way since he was in such a good mood and genuinely helped you out.

He walked you to the train station, and you shared some sweets with him and talked about cats, you fed on the way. He wasn’t nice in a way a person would use the word to describe him, but he was very kind and good in heart, and you felt the need to bow and apologize to him before you parted your ways, ‘I’m sorry, I had a heavy heart at you because I knew I would never be as important to Matsuno-san as you are. Uh, he really looks up at you, you know? But now I can see why. You’re a very good person, Baji-san.’

He looked surprised before he laughed loudly and waved your apology off, ‘Don’t be so hard on yourself. Maybe you’re weak, but I’m sure if you head-on told Chifuyu it would make him happy.’

You didn’t really believe that. How could someone be happy about a confession when they didn’t even know that person?

He grinned, ‘Trust me. You’re cute, and you like cats. He would definitely be happy. Any person would. Now don’t miss your train.’

You bowed and thanked him one last time quickly rushing away. Your final wave was the last time you ever engage with Baji while he was alive.

‘So, you come to visit Baji-san’s grave because he saved you?’ asked Chifuyu, and you turned to look at him. He was smiling, but it didn’t really reach his sharp green eyes leaving the gesture hollow-looking and your own heart sad, ‘He must have left quite the impression on you to come so often.’

You watched the boy for a moment before you clenched your fists and looked in front of yourself, ‘Matsuno-san,’ you said and waited until you felt the boy look at you again even if you couldn’t really meet his eyes as you knew you wouldn’t be able to speak if you did, ‘Baji-san, was a really amazing person, and I’m sure I would think so even more if I got the privilege to interact with him more, but as strange or selfish as it is, he isn’t the sole reason or maybe the reason at all while I visit his grave so often.’

You closed your eyes as you confessed quietly, ‘You are.’

He didn’t say anything to that, but you could feel his gaze burning a hole into your face, and you were sure he must have been shocked by your words which caused this need to explain yourself more to arrive, ‘Uh, I heard that you…weren’t visiting much, and I know how much Baji-san means to you, so…I decided to take your place, until…until you would feel better and ready to visit yourself,’ you unclenched your palms and ran them over your clothed thighs.

‘Why?’ he asked, but it was so quiet, you weren’t sure he wanted to in the first place. Still, you answered, ‘It didn’t sit right with me that someone who meant to you as much as Baji-san wouldn’t have you visit him, but if you really couldn’t then I figured it’s only fair I would.’

He stayed silent for a moment before he asked again this time a bit louder with more confidence, ‘But why? Why you?’

You opened your eyes fearing he would ask you so directly and hoping he would figure it out on his own and just leave it.

When you sensed he wouldn’t as he kept on looking at you, you took a deep breath and said, ‘Please, don’t take this as a confession, but I really like you for a very long time now.’

‘What?!’ he asked causing you to flinch at how loud he was and turn to look at him started only to find him looking properly shocked which threw your theory that he was pushing you on purpose out of the window.

Your face grew warm again, and you looked away because it felt properly embarrassing to face him now.

You could tell he carried on looking at you even if you refused to meet his face again.

A few moments passed as you felt burning up over your personal embarrassment before he finally turned to look ahead into the rain, ‘You…but…’

You cleared your throat and quickly said, ‘Please, don’t feel the need to say anything to me. This wasn’t a confession.’

Chifuyu turned back to you, and with all the courage you could gather, you dared yourself to look back at him if only from under your eyelashes, ‘Uh, I think you’re still going through a lot and grieving, and I don’t want to burden you with my feelings when you don’t even know me. I would like to wait and maybe try it when you feel better. In any case,’ you looked away again shocked you managed to say all those things out loud, but at the same time feeling a lot better, ‘if it’s alright with you don’t say anything, and let’s just leave it for now, Matsuno-san.’

The silence that followed your speech was deafening, but you refused to say anything else since with every passing minute you feared Chifuyu would just stand up and leave or still decide to reject you. You really didn’t intend to confess to him any time soon given his grieving, but you would like to be able to have a shot in the future.

It seemed a few more moments passed before Chifuyu finally spoke sounding really calm and more like himself than he had in a while, and it shook you that it took you to hear him sound like that again to realize this, ‘You’re a really considered person, huh?’

You glanced at him again and shrugged your shoulders, ‘I just really want to see you smile again as you use to.’

Chifuyu kept on looking at you for a little longer before he chuckled quietly, ‘I think I get why Baji-san would point you out to me,’ your eyes dared to look at him again and found him grinning at you a bit less tragically, ‘Thank you.’

You wouldn’t deny it almost made up for your internal anxiety and humiliation to have him look at you so gratefully and speak so nicely.

You shook your head and turned to look at the rain again, ‘Don’t thank me. Just let me do things for you.’

The two of you watched the rain until it slowed down, and you went home with Chifuyu walking you to the train station. You didn’t speak much, but the walk wasn’t the worse, and you were glad you got to spend some time with him without shouting or sadness.

‘When is the next time you will come visit the grave?’ he asked a few moments before you would get on your train, ‘I’ll come with you this time.’

You were genuinely surprised although perhaps you shouldn’t be before you agreed to go visit the grave in two days together.

Since then, you went to visit together quite often watching Chifuyu slowly but firmly return to a close doppelganger of his former self. He would probably never be as bright as he used to be before all this, but it came pretty close and you were grateful for that all the same.

It was almost dizzying at times, how you went from someone the dyed blond-haired boy didn’t know at all to someone, who he often sought out to eat lunch with in school and visit Baji’s grave learning far more about him than you ever dreamed of and realizing he was learning more about you as well.

‘I would like to make a stop today before we head to the cemetery,’ he told you one day during lunch while avoiding your eyes and looking genuinely nervous, ‘If that’s fine with you.’

‘Sure,’ you said trying to guess what it was all about, ‘Are you alright?’ you asked him trying to guess what was on his mind.

He blinked and looked at you, and even if he was clearly struggling with something, he still offered you a bright smile with his eyes shining with excitement before he said, ‘Yeah, I would just like to unburden you from one of your duties though.’

You were confused, but he refused to give you any leads simply telling you to wait and see so you did just that.

When you met him later after school and saw he was carrying something of great meaning to you, something you weren’t even certain he understood from when you spoke about it, you knew which burden he was talking about.

The burden of confessing.

That day, you came to Baji’s grave holding hands feeling a certain warmth not only from having Chifuyu liking you back but from something else as well all the while holding onto the gift he got you.

You stayed a bit paying your respects and allowing Chifuyu a moment to talk to Baji on his own while you stood on the stairs and took in the nice weather of that day wondering if it could be a sign from the afterlife that maybe Baji very much so approved of you.

Thank you, Baji-san, you thought with a small grateful smile across your face while looking at Chifuyu chuckling over something and brushing the back of his head healing.

Taiju was late and for some reason he was struggling to tie his tie. He look at himself in the mirror, a vein popping on his forehead, he click his tongue "Baby, I'm leaving" you announce coming into the bedroom, you look at him as he angrily throw the tie away before looking at you. You smile, removing your bag from your shoulder and picking up the piece of tissue "Let me help you" he walk toward you, actually glad you were willing to help him, putting his hands around your back when you drape the tie around his neck, slipping it under the collar of his shirt "You're going to be late because of me" he sighs looking down at you. You shake your head "I won't let that tie win against you" you joke and he gives you a little smile. He looks down at your fingers putting the long end of the tie up the hole, "What's stressing you like that?" you ask still concentrated in what you're doing "I have a meeting today with important clients" he say "You're gonna be great, like everytime" you say, your soft voice making him forget he was in fact, late. You slide the knot up to his neck, arranging his shirt, your hands staying on his chest, tip toeing to kiss his lips "Tie: 0, us: 1" you smile before turning your back to take your bag "Have a nice day babe" you say, sending him a kiss before leaving. He look at himself in the mirror, smiling, his fingers on the tie. You can be sure that the next morning he was gonna act like he can't tie it by himself anymore.

U heard Shins car pulling into the driveway of ur home as u were sitting on the couch reading a Parenting Book that he had bought a couple of weeks ago.It was so sweet watching him go into Dad Mode,he not only buys parenting books,he also read that if u hold up the Belly of a pregnant person that it reliefs their back cause Babys can get heavy.He did that ever time u cooked or bushed ur teeth cause then he could feel ur tense and exhausted body relaxing against his own.

4 Months have passed since u told him and ur belly grew bigger and heavier by the day,u also had less energy and swollen feet that hurt and cramped a lot so on some days u could barely get up from ur shared bed or the Couch.And unfortunately today was one of these Days.

The Door unlocked and u heard Shins voice in the Hall shouting ur Name and that he was home.He expected u to run into his arms but as u didn’t he was concerned,he finished putting of his shoes and getting into his comfy house slippers.He then rushed into the Living Room where u were.

“Hey Honey how was work?” u asked and sat up a bit straighter,only to be met with not only back pain but also a cramp in your leg which made u hiss in pain.

“Is everything alright?” he asks concerned and sits at the end of the couch.

“My feet are killing me and my back to…” u whine and u lay ur head down on the arm rest.Beeing Pregnant was not easy you knew that but being that exhausted and in pain all the time was blowing ur expectations.

“Can i help i any way Love” your Husband asks and leans forward to put a hand on your Belly.

“No but thanks,i did not make dinner today or i couldn’t make any cause i am trapped on this couch” Shin could hear the disappointment in ur Voice,he knew that u thought it was ur duty to clean and cook and do house work cause he was Working his ass of to pay the bills.Never in a million years would he expect anything from you he lived alone before and hey he was still living and thriving he knew how to handle a household on his own.

“Honey i will make us dinner,and please dont feel guilty for not doing anything cause u are already doing so much for me”he says and presses a kiss against ur forehead.

“What am i doing for your right now?” u ask him cause the only thing u did today or since u were on maternity leave was getting dressed,making breakfast when u could and sitting around till ur pain was better and that was never ur were always in pain the last two months.

“U are growing a Human from scratch that is what ur doing Love,u don’t need to do anything around here i will do it okay.U should rest and relax”he says with a serious look on his face.

“But i am your wife i should help my husband out,i mean u pay for everything”you say and look at him with a sad and disappointed expression.

U gave him a thankful look and he was off to change before he cooked both of u dinner.

U tought the Days were the worst part and that everything will be better at night u were so wrong.Not only did ur body hurt like shit ur Baby also kicked u every chance he or she got.It hurt but it was also a sign that there was a life growing inside of you but this life could also be a little bit gentle with the person that was living on the outside you tought.

And so u were awake at 3 in the Morning kicking the cover off of u cause u were too hot and the other moment to cold.And to not wake up Shin who had to get up earlier than he usually does cause Mikeys Racing Team needed new bikes and stuff u wandered off into the nursery.

It was painted in neutral colours cause u did not know the gender yet the crib was built and the Chainging table and a Rocking Chair.U smiled at the thought of Ur Husband brining home this Chair u had voiced to him that u wanted a rocking Chair in the Nursery to read Books to ur baby and he got u a beautiful one with a pattern that matches the colours.

In the next weeks both of u would find out the gender of the Baby both of u did bot care about the gender of the baby “at least our Baby is healthy and happy” Shin always said when u asked him if he wanted a Girl or a Boy.But u knew that Shinchiro wanted a Girl just like Draken and Emma.

Emma had told u that she thinks that its a Girl cause “girls steal away their mother beauty” .Which u could not believe cause Emma was Glowing her entire pregnancy and she gave birth to a Girl.But u lost ur glow the past few months which made u a bit self conscious and sad.But ur Sister in Law always reminded u that u were Beautiful and Perfect and that there was a Baby growing under ur heart and that ur Body was working overtime.She also said that the “Pregnancy Glow” faded away after the 4th Month and that some Women just not have it or they experience it at the end of their Journey.

“Just imagine Me ur Dad and you sitting here playing something with you or reading…” u whisper to ur belly and the baby kicked u as if it could understand you.

“I see you agree my little one..” u say and put a hand on your belly and u felt another kick.The kicks always reminded u of the Moment when ur Husband felt the first kick of ur child.

The Evening was hot and it started to rain when u and ur lover sat down at the couch he was sitting behind u and held ur belly gently.The feeling of his body against urs was a familiar one and one that made ur soul feel at home.

U both just sat there in peace the only sound was ur synchrone Breathing and the Rain from outside.But then u felt a sudden kick it was a light one but u felt it.

« Did u feel that too » he whispers from behind you.

This was one of the best moments in ur pregnancy so far,u smile to yourself and rub ur belly gently.

„Is the little one keeping u up?“ a deep and sleepy voice asked u and u turned around.

The darkness of ur home revealed ur lover who looked so done with life and sleepy.

„Yes she keeps kicking me“u say.

„She?…do you know something i dont know“he asks with his arms crossed.

„No but i think its a girl…..something in me says its a girl“u say and get closer to him.

„I mean i have nothing against that if its a boy i wouldn’t be disappointed the only thing that matters is that they are healthy“ he pulls u closer to him and kisses ur lips gently.

„Lets get u back to bed okay?“he says sleepily and u agree.

Back in bed the kicking started again and u were awake another time.

„Hey my little one in there“ Shin whisper to your belly as he notices ur discomfort.

„Ur mom out here is trying her best to grow you, could you please let her sleep“ he continues,and to ur surprise the kicking stops.U moth to him „it works keep going“ and so he does.

„So when u are older one day,Daddy will take u for a ride on his bike and ohh…one day u will have a bike of ur own i have a good one in mind but u can of course choose one yourself love.“a kiss was pressed against ur belly and with Shinchiros voice and the relief ur body experienced now u fell asleep quickly.

Those five months passed quickly,and things got better ur backpain was not that strong and ur feet were quiet normal.And to ur and Shins luck both of u found out that u are having a little baby girl.

As both of u found out Shin cried happy tears and u did too.And after that nothing could bring the smile from shins face his wife was having a little girl and he will be a girl dad soon.

Both of u decorated the Nursery in different shades of pink to make it look girly,and everything seemed perfect but that exact evening u noticed that ur Backpain was worsening and that u had several abodem pain……

It was normal ur midwife had told u ur Body was prepping for Birth and u had something called Braxton Hicks which were false contractions that prepped ur body for the extreme pain of labour.But as the days go by ur false contractions seemed to get worse.They came in 1 to 2 hours and they were so painful that u either need to grab on the nearest thing for support or sit down.

„Love,i know its just these false contractions but please lets go to the gynaecologist and let him check if everythings okay“ ur Husband suggested as u were holding onto him for support as u breathed trough a contraction.

„Okay but he will tell u the same thing as the midwife“u tought.

But ur doctor told u that u were indeed in real labour and that u had to be rushed to the hospital.

It was a shock for both of u cause the baby then would be one and a half weeks early which was not good cause the babys development was not fully completed before the 40th week of pregnancy.

The Sky was foggy and a Storm was building up outside of the Hospital windows.

U were placed in the maternity ward and the doctors did their best to delay the birth cause the risk of ur baby having complications or u having complications while birth were a bit too high to risk.

U felt like u were going insane in this room u hated hospitals,the smell and the vibe were uncomfortable to you.

But ur Room was a bit more colourful and it had a light that was not too bright and the light color was warmer but it still felt like a hospital.

U were placed on an IC with Tocolytics this medication could delay birth and it seemed to be working well.Cause ur abodem pain reduced a bit.And ur Baby girl she was still kicking u but u could not complain cause u were afraid if she did not she may be dead.It hurt but u at least had a sign that she was okay and alive.

And ur Husband he was glued to you he stayed at the hospital with you he was with u the whole two days u were now here,u begged him to go home to shower and get a bit of comfortable sleep but he refused.In the end both of u agreed that one night but only one night he will sleep at home but in that time Emma and Draken will stay with u for a bit so u agreed.

As she saw you Emma was in tears u looked stressed and tired ur hair was greasy and a mess and the Robe they gave u was very uncomfortable.

So she proposed the idea that she will wash ur hair and help you get dressed while Draken was bringing theier Child to Mikey and his Girlfriend.

And after a proper hairwash and after u changed into leggins and a Shirt from ur Husband u felt a bit more human and a bit more like yourself.

Emma tried to get u away from ur worries.

„Her Birthday was really nice but her amazing aunt was missing“she told u about ur Nieces Birthday,that u sadly missed cause u were already a day in the hospital and u could not leave.

„I am so sorry Emma“ u whisper.

„Heyy no need to be sorry we are talking about ur Babys and ur Life and Health here she will always be your niece and you will always be her aunt“she coos and lays her hand over yours.

„Shin visited us in the late afternoon,he told us about u and that he needed to go back to you before you wake up.“ she tells u.

„He really Loves u dear,i have never seen my half brother so happy“ her smile was soft and her hand was now holding yours.

„Emma i am scared shitless“ u confess and Emma gave u a small laugh.

„No need to be,u will get trough this and ur baby will too you know why?“ u chook ur head in response.

„Cause u are her mother and u are a strong woman“ she answeres you and u give her a exhausted smile.

And with that u drift of into a well needed slumber.

Ur Baby was not breathing as they handed her over to you.Her face was pale and her Body lacked any kind of heat,ur world crashed in that moment.U screamed out of pain,pain cause u lost the one thing u loved as much as ur Husband.It was all too much for ur body and everything around u went dark.

A Hand was placed on your Arm and two familiar eyes looked into yours.

„Are you okay Love“ ur Husband asks as u wake up from ur Nightmare.It was a Nightmare was it if not u would loose ur mind.

„Am i still pregnant,is she still alive….Shin tell me“ u say as u panicked.

„Hey…u had a bad dream yes,and u are still pregnant and our baby is doing well“ he assures you and he shifts from his Chair at ur bedside to the mattress u were laying on.He took ur hand in his and pressed a kiss to every finger of ur Hand.

„We will get trough this baby“he says in a calm tone.And leans against ur frame,u craved his presence so much right now u just wanted him closer to you to just hold you close and kiss u.But the IV made that Impossible.

„Shin please hold me“u say and u were close to tear,u shifted a bit to the right for him to lay beside you.And like that u drifted off into a peaceful slumber.While he was beside you.

The Birth was now only two days away from ur calculated day and the risk was lower that something happens to you and the baby so they got u off of the medication and now u needed to wait.Till u were ready to finally give birth.And as the Doctors finally confirmed that it was time u were a bit relieved that ur pregnancy will be over and also a bit sad.

The Birth was going without any complications and Shin was there every second he held ur hand and u almost broke it by squeezing it so hard,and even if u did he couldn’t care less.Shin knew that labour was painful and exhausting and he tought he could handle it well.But hearing u scream for ur life did things to his heart that almost broke it into pieces.But as u pushed a final Time and u heard a loud cry.Both of u we’re relieved she was here ur Baby Girl was finally here.U looked up at Shin and you could see the tears in his eyes.

Ur newborn was placed on your bare chest moments after,she was perfect she has black hair like Shin and beautiful eyes like you she was the perfect mix of both of u.

« I am so proud of u,i am so proud of u of both of u,had to go tough so much »Shin says in a quiet tone to not upset the newborn who was slowly drifting into sleep.He strokes over her head gently and kisses the top of urs.

« Shes perfect Shin » u say exhausted.

Both of u were glad to be home after such nerv wrecking Days.

U were fresh out of the Shower when u got down and u saw ur husband standing in ur living room the front to ceiling windows open so the coolness of the rain could go into your too warm home.He stood there and rocked her too sleep.

“Daddy will always protect u,and ur daddy will always be there when u need him and so will ur mommy”he coos to her and gives her a kiss on the forehead.

“And when ur older u can play with ur Cousins,they are very exited too meet u next week”he continues to whisper to the sleeping newborn in his toned arms.

“U have a very loving Family and they all love u very much but ur Mom and i love u way more than them”and with that he notices u standing behind him.U get closer to him and lean ur head against his shoulder and look down at the Human both of u made out of love for each other.

“Thank you” he says quietly and u lean up to kiss him.The sound of the rain calmed all of u down which was all needed.Ur Future was bright with a Family like that and u could not wait for more moments like this to come.

U found out that u were pregnant on your day off cause ur period was suppossed to be over this week but u never got it,and u suspected that there was something wrong already cause when u and Shin ate at a Fancy Seafood Restaurant a couple of days ur body did not like what u were eating and as soon as u arrived home u had to go to the bathroom.Shin had no idea that i was cause there was a new life growing inside of you,he tought that u just ate someting bad or raw.

But somewhere ur body and ur mind knew that something was up,and the two lines on the Pregnancy Test confirmed that.

After u took the test u went to your doctor to check if it was a real pregnancy and if everything was alright and he confirmed that u were really pregnant.And as u saw the little dot on the Ultrasound you could not believe it,u and ur Husband are goint to be parents soon.

U were brought out of ur memories when the car stopped in ur Drive way and Shin called ur name,u got out of the car and both of u walked into your home.

“I am going to change i will be there in a couple of seconds” u say as Shin was already in the Living Room waiting for u to come and cuddle.

U got upstairs and got changed in some sweats and a Shirt from your Lover.But as u wanted to put the shirt on you looked in the mirror and u saw a small bump forming at ur belly,u looked at it and put ur hand over it.U were really pregnant u could not believe it, u continuied to get dressed and as u wanted to walk out of the bedroom something held u back,and u stopped in ur tracks u had the Ultrasound picture under a Book on your nighstand and teh test in your Nightstand.Was it really the perfect moment to tell him or should u wait.

U heard ur name beeing called from down the hall where Shin was now standing.

“Honey are u alright” he asks you and comes closer.

“Yes but i need to tell u something”u answere him and pull him into your shared Bedroom.

He just stood there with wide eyes and u motioned him to sit down on the bed.

U pulled the Picture out from beneath the Book and u also opened ur drawer and took out the Pregnancy test.

Shin was in a state where he looked at the floor,cause he was afraid what will u tell him,did u want a divorce,did u find someone new,was he not enough.His overthinking ended when he felt the Matress shift and u sit down beside him,u took his hand in urs and looked at him.After a few seconds he looked up into your eyes.

“U remember when we were at the restaurant and i got sick afterwards”u say in a calm voice and he just nodded not breaking the Eye contact with you.

“It was not because i ate something bad but i was because there is a secret that i am hiding from you” u say and reach behind u where the picture and the test were.

Shin nodded again and then he felt something in his hand,as he looked down he saw a pregnancy test and a Ultrasound Picture.He took the test in his hands and he could see two obvious lines on it.

“You are going to be a Dad”u whisper and look over to him and put a hand on his shoulder.

He looked over to you after looking at both of the items u gave him and u could see tears in his eyes.

“Honey...i am so happy....your pregnant....we are going to have a family soon” he says and hugs you tightly.

U both cry tears of joy cause u were both so happy.

After ur emeotional hug and ur confession u stood up from the bed and your Husband got behind you he rested his hands against ur belly.

“I noticed that ur belly was a bit swollen ” he whispers in your ear and kisses ur cheek.

Which made u chuckle, u closed ur eyes and leaned back agaisnt him.U opened ur eyes when u felt the fabric of the shirt beeing lifted.He had his hands on your bare belly now and was troking the little bump.

“U are the best thing that has ever happened to me u and your baby ” he says and u are grateful to have such a man in your life.And he will for sure be a great Dad.

Your Doorbell rang,it was Christmas and almost midnight.U wonderd who could it be.

As u opened the Door u saw Hakkai supporting Mitsuya,behind them was his little sister.Takas face was bloddy and his upper body was coverd in blood and stains.

“Taka what happend....... ”u were shooked.Mitsuya was in a gang but he was a decent fighter he told u so,but seeing him like that so bruised and beaten up was shooking to you.

“He wanted to come here,he protested to let us bring him Home ” Hakkai said to you.

“Mana and...Luna...they...are ” Hakkai stopped him from speaking more and he guided him into your home.

You supported him with ur shoulder and before you could close the door,Yuzuha thanked him for protecting her and her Brother.

U then closed the door and brought him into your Living Room and sat him down on your Couch and gave him a glass of water.

“So u protected the Shibas hmm... ”u said as us at down beside him.

He just nodded and took a sip of the Water you gave him.

“You and her would make a good couple ” u say and he just looked at you with an expression u could not read in his eyes.

“Anyway lets patch u up and then you take your ass Home,Luna and Mana are surely waiting for you ” with these words u stood up and got the first aid kit.Mitsuya was sitting on the floor when u came in u kneeled down to him and started cleaning his wounds.He hissed as the alkohol touched his open wound.

“Sorry... ” u whisper and stop for a second for the pain to die down after a couple of seconds u went back to patching him up.

“What you said....about Yuzuha and me... ” he hisses as you put on a Bandage near his Chest.

“ Yes what about it” u say.

“She and me are only friends...there are no romantic feelings for her ” he says.And you just gave him a judging glance.

“But u protect her,u only protect people whou you love ”you say as u finished up with Mitsuyas Wounds.

“Her older brother beats her she needs someone to protect her” he tells u and sits down on the Sofa again.

“See you like herrrrrr ” u shout from the Bath Room as u put the first aid kit back into the Cabinet again.U looked into the mirror and saw him standing behind you.

“You are jealous arent you ” he says in a disguted kinda way.

And you look at him in the mirror his look was intense and after a while you looked away.

“ Answere me” he almost shouts.

“U are jealous cause i protected a friend she was a victim of Abuse from her brother,she sufferd all those years i needed to protect her..... its what a brother sould do”he says u could hear his frustraition in his voice.

“U should leave Taka,celebrate Christmas with ur sisters thats what a brother does now get home and... STOP SHOUTING AT ME OKAY ” Taka was taken back when you shouted at him,sometimes your insecurities and your self dout got the best of you and then u started to get jealous.U loved Taka u still do,but as u confessed ur feeling for him a Month ago and he told u that you should stop and that he did not feel the same thats when ur whole self pity was taken to the next level.U were not pretty,not skinny,not perfect enough for him u knew that y ourself but every time u looked at him the wound in youre Heart was getting bigger.

„No i will not go until solve this together“he says

U face him and look into his eyes.

„Mitsuya I love u I fucking Love u and i confessed my feelings for u and u rejected me ,which is your decision.But i can not let u out of my life i love u too much for that,i don’t think i can ever live somebody else..i…“ the last words were cut off by a sob by you.U wanted to turn around so that he does not see ur face while crying but he was pulling u into a hug.

„I rejected you cause i think u deserve someone who is both in a criminal gang that fights and shit,u deserve a good man who is not involved in something like that.I love u and i….shit i really fucking live u i would rott in the deepest pit of hell for you but i can’t love u cause i can not give j what u deserve….“Taka says in a calm tone.

„Taka…I…no there is no one better for me than you..u are one and only“ you whisper and look up into his lavender eyes.

„And u are my one and only but if something goes south with the gang and u would die from that ore someone would murder u i could never ever life with myself again…please stop loving me…the tought of u dying cause of me breaks me from the inside“ he says still in a calm tone.

U pulled him closer and he broke down im tears,his face was buried i your neck and you could feel his wet tears.

„Hey…everything is alright Taka“ u say and rub his back.

„No…i hurt u i hurt the person that i love…“his voice sounded hurt.

„No,now i know u did that to protect me and…thats kind of cute you know.But u dont have to protect me i can do that myself.“u say and pull him a bit away from u so you could see his face.

His eyes were red and his face was a bit puffy,not only because of his injuries also cause of his tears.

„Taka…i love u you and that u are in a gang does not change that and that somebody will hurt me doesn’t either…nothing could change my feel…“ his lips were on yours and u could bot finish your sentence.He pulled u closer to him and his lips were still against yours.

„Please…forgive me“he mouths against ur lips and u break the kiss to say that u could bot be angry at him even if u wanted.

„I guess i overthink too much hmm.“he says and pulls up back into him

„I love u Baby,ur mine now and as long as u are mine nobody will hurt you“ and with that his lips are on yours again,the kiss was a lot more passionate.

Seems like he also has to explain when he comes home.
