I've been thinking about this since yesterday, and I'm so grateful for the question but I don't know that I have any unshared lore. 🤣 The story is entering its finale stages now so most things have already been uncovered.

I don't think it's that exciting, but there will be more detail on vampires coming up now that I've introduced Vlad as a side character... my protag, also a vampire, is from a parallel world. There, vampires aren't undead or sired, they're born. They're just another race of people like elves or dwarves or anything like that. They can eat, drink, sleep, go outside in the sun, etc. They don't need blood to survive but it can help rejuvenate them - like an energy drink. 🤔🤣 They can learn magic but don't inherently have magical abilities other than accelerated healing.

Vampires in our world, where the story takes place, are parasites. They're the result of those who fell through the cracks between worlds and were damaged by it. Vampires who originate in this world are much closer to the classic legends.
