Amy and Shadow could have such a sweet and interesting dynamic and the filmverse would be the perfect opportunity to explore that given they've had a big focus on friendship, and that is why Amy needs to be in the third movie because dammit Shadow needs a friend

People seem to think that the third movie can't have Amy because they "wouldn't have time." Now that sounds like bullshit to me because... really? In a 2 hour film they wouldn't have time? But fine, I'll walk with you on that for a minute

I think there's a simple solution for this "issue." What if they have Amy initially be on Shadow's side? Maybe she does a tarot card reading that leads her to Earth in search of a "fast hedgehog hero." She meets Shadow before Sonic, assumes he's the one she was meant to find, and so decides to help him, albeit unsure if they're doing the right thing. That way they wouldn't have to keep cutting back between the two to develop their characters because they'd already be together. Plus it could build up Amy being the one who makes Shadow have a change of heart because since she's spent some time with him she'd know him on a deeper level than the others, so she'd be more likely to empathize with him

I'm just spitballing here so I am fully aware that this is probably a reach, but my point is Amy and Shadow being introduced in the same movie wouldn't be as difficult as some people are making it out to be

Alright now that I've had a chance to calm down a bit, I wanna talk about the trailer a little more

So some people are theorizing that Amy was edited out of the trailer because Paramount didn't wanna reveal too much. Now if this is the case, that would make sense. Studios have done things like this before. However, I stand by what I said in this post because including Amy in the first trailer would've been a perfect way to build hype. Because now people are just pissed, which is not a good first impression

Actually even if Amy does turn out to be in the third movie (post-credits scene doesn't count), there's still something about the marketing for this film that doesn't sit right with me. Tails wasn't a secret. Knuckles wasn't a secret. Shadow certainly wasn't a secret. Why are they being so needlessly coy and tight-lipped about the most prominent female character's inclusion in the filmverse? We're about to be three movies and one mini series in and we still don't know if any of the female characters from the games are gonna appear anytime soon, except for Maria, who is fridged. I don't wanna go as far as make a misogyny accusation, but this is... really weird

Yeah unless they reveal later that Amy is going to be in the third movie, pretty much all of my interest in the film is gone now. Because genuinely what the fuck is the point of having the movie be so focused on Shadow if a vital part of his arc is gone?

I was on the edge of my seat watching the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 trailer waiting for Amy to appear and she never did. Paramount, you had one fucking job...
