The Bootstrapper’s Manifesto
TAPE THIS TO YOUR BATHROOM MIRROR AND READ IT OUT LOUD EVERY NIGHT BEFORE YOU GO TO BED:
I am a bootstrapper. I have initiative and insight and guts, but not much money. I will succeed because my efforts and my focus will defeat bigger and better-funded competitors. I am fearless. I keep my focus on growing the business—not on politics, career advancement, or other wasteful distractions. I will…

"Time is constant, they're the same 60 min per hour every day .. it's YOU that needs management not time.” an easy reading yet brilliant and direct to the point book. the author is so funny and honest - he started hi book by: “please don’t read this entire book. after all, the main reason you picked it up is that you need to find some time… don’t feel like you have to read every bit just because it’s there…” The book had loads of great ideas for saving time, some are well known and others that were really innovative. Work to live - don't live to work! #bookoftheday

"he walks past shops filled with fake luxuries and objects that are only about status, and branded goods that steal people's souls. we live, he says, in Plato's cave. everyone is obsessed with things that are not real - with money rather than truth." enough said. grab it. read it. #bookoftheday

. it’s a big deal! an easy to read book with lots of interesting examples. . “it’s not just people but objects can be tracked now” on Apple, Google & Microsoft geo-location establishment to complement GPS. Google’s street view: collected wifi router information. iPhone: was a “spyPhone” gathering location and wifi data & sending it back to apple. Google’s android & Microsoft’s mobile operating system also collected this sort of data.” . The book provides comprehensive vision of Big Data and explains how it’s changing the landscape of the technology world. Very good to understand how our data is being used and how the Big Data it will have a significant impact on our future. #bookoftheday

. "never have i seen a greater, or more beautiful, or a calmer or more noble thing than you, brother. come and kill me. i don't care who kills who. ...you killed him for pride and because you're a fisher man. you loved him when he was alive and you loved him after. if you love him, it's not a sin to kill him. or is it worse? "you think too much, old man," he said to himself." The last great catch of Hemingway's career. it led directly to his receipt of the 1954 Noble prize- an award he gladly accepted, despite his earlier observation that "no son of a bitch that ever won the Nobel prize ever wrote anything worth reading afterwards." a half century later, it's still easy to see why. For Brain: "When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him." -Jonathan Swift #bookoftheday

“the morality of the project is essential to the outcome of the project. Always ask yourself: . do they believe strongly enough in your ideal to sacrifice everything that has to be sacrificed for the accomplishment of the goal? . do they believe in you as a leader? . do you believe in yourself as a leader? if everything is balanced in your favour then proceed to the next step. if not, rethink your attitudes and desires.” The Art of War by Sun Tsu is one of the timeless readings and a reference to keep for the life. You’re an owner? leader? project manager? or even a junior, you need to read this book, then relax and ponder ever single advice in that valuable book. #bookoftheday

"you may be a lightweight up against a heavyweight, but you can be the lightweight who wakes up at 3am, drinks a few raw eggs, and puts in two hours at the gym before the competition's alarm clock goes off. people will notice your effort, and it will make a difference." - @garyvee call yourself a social media "guru", foro, shoro, or even zoro. First, learn, understand and then experiment, a lot. Jab, jab, jab, right hook is a very enjoyable read, full of examples and constructive critics. My advice, grab Gary's first book "Crush It", absorb it and then enjoy the practical reading with the examples here.

This photo of Carl Sagan and the Dalai Lama talking about the universe is the best thing since the legendary meeting of Albert Einstein and Indian philosopher Tagore.
Pair with Sagan on the meaning of life and the Dalai Lama on science.

Start with the self
Start with the self
Austria – 2013
I’ve been reading a lot about self-development and improving self-esteem.. Apparently change should start from within. So, i decided to let my hair grow :D true! that small change doesn’t have an impact on others, I know, but for me it was something! I was freed from the routine. Regardless if it looked nice or not. It helped me!
Is it easy to wake up one day and admit to…

We are not trees.
We are not trees.
What to change: myself or the world around me?
@shadymansour
Something was wrong. After a few months I traveled back home, it was then that I had the shock. It didn’t feel like that was the home I want to be in. I didn’t want to live this life.
Why had I changed that much? Is this what I want to be? Was it for the best?
I had adopted a new life style, I changed all my habits. I stopped smoking…
