THE RISE OF INFLUENCER MARKETING

An influencer is anyone who has influence over a particular set of audience and has the ability to impact their purchasing behaviour through endorsements and product placements. The influencer marketing industry is expected to be worth up to $15 billion by 2022, compared to $8 billion in 2019, according to Business Insider Intelligence estimates. The growing market size suggests that influencers are more likely to drive and impact consumers’ buying and spending decisions going forward, as social media becomes pervasive and functional beyond communication.
According to eMarketer, 84% of marketers are leaning towards launching at least one campaign involving an influencer; more so in times of a pandemic where people are spending most of their time on their phones or laptops. Furthermore, Marketers who have already launched influencer campaigns are impressed with the results, with a whopping 81% calling this form of partnership quite effective.
Businesses have been using celebrities and iconic figures to promote their products and foster relatability. But as more and more brands realise just how much people trust other people’s opinions over everything else, a new pool of influencers has opened up.
A hybrid of old and new marketing and advertising tools, influencer marketing is everything that a modern-day campaign needs to be. It’s less about selling your wares directly and more about becoming one with the offering; an almost verb of sorts like “Let’s xerox it” or “Let’s Swiggy it”.
As the world continues to progress and audiences become smarter every day, it’s obvious that now is as good a time as any to unwield the true potential influencer marketing has to offer. At the end of the day, influencer marketing might not be right for every brand, But for those where it fits the bill, it can work alongside a well-balanced and successful digital marketing strategy to shift voices and shine that much-deserved spotlight!

DOGECOIN - THE NEXT BIG THING IN CRYPTOCURRENCY?
Dogecoin is the new Bitcoin. Maybe, it’s too early to say that but in the next few months Dogecoin may emerge as the cryptocurrency of 2021. It’s already on path, witnessing a massive surge since the start of the year. Dogecoin has given nearly 1900 per cent returns since January 2021. Yes, you read that right. There was a time when one coin was worth less than a cent, but the recent surge has taken its value to $0.122680 or almost 12 cents. That’s incredible for a digital currency started as a joke. We will get to that bit in a while.
Dogecoin was started as a joke by two software engineers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer as fun and instant cryptocurrency in December 2013. If you have been using the internet, there is a chance that you might have come across or heard about the Doge meme.
Despite its strong presence on Reddit, not too many people were taking Dogecoin seriously and its use case remained limited. It is literally listed as a ‘memecoin’. Until this year, when Tesla chief Elon Musk tweeted that he will literally put a Dogecoin on the moon. Some thought it is an April Fool’s Day prank but Musk has since then made several cryptic tweets about this cryptocurrency. Few other celebrities hopped on to the bandwagon.

FILM REVIEW: THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS

The year is 1981, and Chris Gardener (Will Smith) if trying to make a living by selling bone scanner machines in San Francisco to doctors and medical centers. It's a bother to lug around the clunky machines but he enjoys making connections with people. Although he is a natural born salesman, this African-American believes that he is destined for a better career path. His wife Linda (Thandie Newton) is working at two jobs to help pay the bills, and they are behind on their rent. Their five-year old son, Christopher (Jaden Christopher Syre Smith), goes to a day-care center, and it bugs his dad that on the outside of the building, the term "the pursuit of happyness" is misspelled. He is convinced that these little details make all the difference in life.
The constant strain of financial pressure is too much for Linda to handle so she decides to take a job with a relative in a restaurant in New York. Although her husband is a disappointment to her, she does have confidence that he will find a way to take care of their son, and so she leaves Christopher with him.
Chris's persistence pays off when he is chosen for an internship program at a prestigious stock brokerage firm. The determining factor seems to be that he impresses one of the top officers by solving a Rubiks Cube in record time. It is obvious that he has a special gift for numbers in addition to his flair for sales. The only hitches to his new lease on life are that the program does not pay any salary and only one of the 20 interns will eventually be hired.
The drama does score some emotional points in its portrait of an African-American male who turns out to be an extraordinary single-parent. He nurtures his son with a tenderness and love that is impressive. We also liked the central role in the drama of Glide Memorial Church in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. Chris and Christopher join other homeless people who find food and lodging there if they are lucky to get in line early. The Reverend Cecil Williams appears in the film along with the church's legendary choir.

THINK AND GROW RICH

Think And Grow Rich is a state of mind. It uses the power of imagination for manifesting strong desires and a definite purpose into reality. Turning obsession (definite purpose) into a reality is not an easy task. However, if you have a strong desire and you’re willing to raise the stakes, you will win. The author projects the following formula:
Desire + Ideas + Plans + Massive Action = Success
Start with your goal. What do you really want? A better job? To succeed in your current career? To work for a business leader who inspires you? To achieve that goal, shifting your thinking from failure consciousness to success consciousness is the key. For this to happen, the question ‘how do I get a job?’ needs to change into ‘what can I give to a job?’, and ‘how do I get more dollars per hour?’ into ‘how do I give more energy, desire, focus?’
DESIRE:
When a person truly wants something, then only she acts towards attaining that goal. Wishing for something is always undefined but wanting is well defined and commits to course of action.
FAITH:
It might be faith in karma, the universe, a divine being, or yourself. But the bottom line is you need an unnatural amount of confidence, that your desire can be achieved. You need to truly believe that your success will be inevitable.
AUTO-SUGGESTION:
Repeat your desire to your subconscious as much as you can and place a feeling of faith and love behind it. Eventually this will become your dominating thought.
IMAGINATION:
To grow rich you need to have specialized knowledge. Think of any professional, they paid the price of learning specialized knowledge through time and sometimes money. This will allow our desires to translate into a monetary, career or other forms of success.
DECISION:
The trait that all successful people have in common is decisiveness. You must learn to make decisions quickly and then change them slowly.
POWER OF MASTERMIND:
According to the author, a mastermind is having a team of people in place, whose job it is to help you succeed and carry out your plans. Who could be in your team and how could you form one in the next 30 days? Nobody can acquire great power and succeed without the power of a mastermind.
