The original shot. They cut David Brennon the Director of the Federal Bureau of Hunters in the anime for some reason.

Look man I ship imodna but holy fuck you guys have got to calm down.
Way back in the old days there was a phrase
“ship and let ship”
Read it, learn it, internalize it. Because refusing to do so just ruins the fandom experience for everyone.
You don’t ship laudmoore? Hate dorym with a passion? Think Fearne x Chetney is terrible? Can’t stand content that points out Imogen’s faults?
Then don’t engage with those types of content. It’s that easy!

when people make critical role shipping about the players ….. why

Got to say, I do not get people attributing Imogen's "darker" behavior to the gnarlrock. I like when she does intimidating things to be sure, but she hasn't done anything that's remotely crossed a truly hard line or been out of character for her, or frankly for a D&D character in general. She's always been extremely cynical and tired and willing to say what she needs to say to get the job done, and a pretty good liar to boot, and none of that seems to have ramped up beyond the bog-standard D&D level progression of "you get spells that do more damage now".

I don’t care if you loved, hated, or felt meh about the end of campaign 2
I care when people try to pretend there is the remotest moral implications for ANY of those feelings, or that feeling the “wrong” way makes someone a lesser person
People aren’t “not as smart” as you for feeling a different way about the end of a story
Doesn’t matter that you saw all these hints and bits and pieces that fit perfectly/were completely abandoned
Doesn’t matter if they want a different kind of narrative, catharsis, or even just plain explicit, unmistakeable rep
(Hola shadowgast, poor lads were like 7 hours in and forgot how many of us were raised on “oh but they might be more than friends 😘”
Also the demi Essek reveal, love to have it, respect Matt wasn’t sure how to bring it up in game (honourable mention trans Yussa Erenis, lookit all this wizard rep), still woulda felt just as good both ways)
Like I get this is the age of “all of you are so uneducated my take is PERFECTION INCARNATE AND I CAN PROVE IT” but… just
Take a moment to remove all those little quality indicators
Accept other peoples’ reasons for feeling the way they do are perfectly valid, reasonable, and still won’t change how you feel because Your Feelings Are Valid Too
And they won’t change how other people feel, and nor should they
Personally, I’m Children Of Earth-ing 141 because all of Matt’s favourite ending tropes are my Least Favourite Most Hated Endings Of All Time, and I’ll happily commiserate with anyone who wants to join me
But it makes me so happy when I see people say they loved the ending, that it was everything they wanted and perfect (not least because you’ll probably love all the other endings too! Vox Machina’s was very similar and I’d be STUNNED if c3 broke the pattern!)
Something may not be for me, but so long as it resonated with someone else, as long as it made you guys light up like the dang sun, it was good, and valuable, and worthwhile
(And yes it did take me like a year of crankiness and grumbles to get here and it is still a work in progress, but it’s just so much nicer than trying to shoot down someone else’s joy? It’s way more fun to lean in and I’m taking this mindset to everything else I love forever)
It’s a good way to remind myself that even when people think completely differently and do shit I would never, that there’s some worth and joy to be found in doing shit that way
It lets me expand my horizons and look at why I feel the way I do about things and question if there’s something I’ve missed, because there nearly always is
We are better when we’re together and when we remember to respect each other as people, ESPECIALLY when we disagree over the little shit
There’s always fixit fic for shit you hated and canon compliance for shit you love, and talking to someone who truly loved something you didn’t see the value in is a great way to feel better about it
Talking to people who didn’t like something you loved is a great way remind yourself that yeah, we are all different, and that is Super Fucking Good Actually (and come up with buckwild headcanons about how to make things perfect for both of you, which is always good fun)
It’s so easy to fall into the trap of “everybody who doesn’t agree with me is wrong and just can’t Think like me” but that trap leads to boring little bubbles until we’re all just breathing our own farts
No matter what divides us, we can always agree on the simple truth: Matt does not make cishet wizards and that is very sexy of him

unpopular opinion: sometimes... fandom isn't that important. sometimes fandom isn't "that deep" to someone. sometimes people don't interact within the fandom and like to watch from afar. sometimes people just want to look at cool art or read cool fanfics, and that's it.
let's normalize fandom being a hobby or an interest and not a lifestyle. normalize taking a step back, taking time off and disconnecting from fandom without feeling bad. it's okay and healthy to prioritize yourself over media instead of consuming it 24/7. it's okay to set boundaries and enjoy something the way you need.

The hiatus did change things and it changed how shippers saw the show. When the hiatus happened no shipper was really going through watching all 400 hours back again. What they did is spend all that time off rewatching the same 2-3 hour super cut of their ships essentially brain washing themselves into thinking that it was 100% going to happen. I’d see people say like do you see how Jester looks at this person she doesn’t do that with anyone else except she does and you’d know that if you’d watch the the episodes instead of a completely biased compilation of your favorite ship.
Beau and Caleb were never going to make a move on Jester, Liam said so and Beau said so. With Ashley being back full time of course things were going to start happening with Beauyasha this is the longest Ashley’s ever been back. The hiatus made people’s head canons turn into canon and it effected them and made people think a shift happened when it didn’t. What a lot you fail to realize is is that the 3 hour shipping video you’d watch is from 300 hours of gameplay. Such a small fraction of the show and so many based their entire enjoyment of the show in those 2-3 hours they’d get out of the 300 hours of the show.

Reblog if you agree: ship wars are unnecessary and they bring an ugly side in the fandom

I use to be such a hard core fan of the series. But due to the constant shipping wars, and how people treat each other in this fandom. I’ve grown to hate it so much… It takes alot to make me dislike something. And the way at times this fandom among the shippers treat people… really really makes me dislike it so badly. I’ve never had a series make me physically feel sick to think about it and the groups. I feel horrible as a fan to say that. –Anonymous

Here is the secret to fandom:
Give zero fucks about what anyone else is doing.
Seriously.  I mean it.  Because inevitably you will love something that no one else loves.  Or you will love something that everyone loves and people will shit all over it because it’s “so trite and unimaginative and done.” Or you will love something that no one else has ever heard of.  Or you will love something dark and edgy and or obscure and people will roll their eyes and say, “What, do you want people to think you’re dark and edgy and obscure?”
Alternatively, you will not love the thing that everyone else loves, and you will wonder what precisely is wrong with you that the sight of that thing is aggravating the shit out of you now when the whole world sings its praises as one.
People will irritate you.  They’ll irritate you with headcanons that make no sense and misinterpretations of canon.  They will make the same jokes 500 times.  They will overwhelm your corner of fandom with something you either are tired of hearing about or don’t care about.  They will post art that isn’t theirs.  You will meet people who think you are the greatest person ever and bombard you with messages  only to wander off when they find someone new or shinier; you will meet people whom you admire and who do not really seem to notice you exist.
So give zero fucks about it.  Seriously.  Like what you like, blacklist what you need to blacklist, and ignore everything else.  Be friends, play nice, enjoy it.  And in the meantime, just do you.  Like what you like, love what you love, and to hell with all the rest of it.

Bleach Live Action 2018
[Movie release date: July 20, 2018]
Please guys, please, for once let’s all shove our bitterness aside and hype the fuck out of this movie.
I have said it time and time again and will continue to say it until this movie is released and until the final numbers are in.
If we ever want to see the Bleach anime come back, this movie needs to succeed.
They will look at the numbers this movie generates on release. I know it won’t be released everywhere, but that’s ok. Just hype it up on your blog.
Signal boost it. Reblog any content officially put out by it. Talk about it Facebook, Twitter, anywhere.
Try to get it at least close to the top 10 tags.
This is our last chance to prove we are not as bad a fandom as we are thought to be. Our last chance to get the anime back, get the merchanside back in the stores, get the books selling again. It’s our last chance to prove that we can pull ourselves together, away from the ships and the discourse about the ending, for the same goal of protecting the thing that has meant so much to all of us for 15 years.
It is not about the ending. It is not about the ships.  It is about the journey we took with Bleach.
And it is past time we came together as a fandom.

I don’t typically make posts like this but as someone who has a lot of friends who are artists, I really cannot stand this person going on like this and being enabled by their viewer base.
Yuuki is a “graphic designer” on Twitch who makes and sells graphics ranging from banners, panels, and stream scenes. I’ve commissioned her in the past and was a viewer myself, so I’ve spent a lot of time watching how she creates these things. Now, I’m not saying the time she puts into these pieces isn’t a work in itself, it’s about how she goes about it. From my experience in watching her, she pulls a lot of images from Google and doesn’t take the time to credit anyone for any of the works she uses (whether it be artwork, brushes, render packs, etc). even when a lot of these artists explicitly state either to 1) not use their works or 2) provide credit when used. **read below the cut for proofs/examples
