Azriel’s book beginning with him at the pleasure hall, completely wasted, and taking some random female to the back alley. Juxtapose that with him at the end of the book, healed, and a fantastic mate.

Something sparked in Azriel's chest, but he only nodded his thanks and left. He could picture it, though, as he ascended the stairs back to the House proper. How Gwyn's teal eyes might light upon seeing the necklace. For whatever reason... he could see it.

But Azriel tucked away the thought, consciously erasing the slight smile it brought to his face. Buried the image down deep, where it glowed quietly. A thing of secret, lovely beauty.

Things I love about Gwyneth Berdara:

She's a coppery haired Priestess who sings and who exudes beauty and grace.

She's a representative to those who have been traumatized like she has been.

She works hard and is a light amongst the darkness to others.

She is a damn good friend. She's will put aside her own fears to be there and comfort those who need her.

She perseveres and has an inner strength after what life has dealt her with. It's encouraging and motivating to others.

She can be shy, but comes out of her shell around those she's comfortable around, which is honestly really relatable to a lot of people (myself included).

She is willing to lay down her life to save others. Just think of the children at Sangravah and her friends during the Blood Rite.

She is the first reborn Valkyrie and one of the two first female warriors to be titled Carynthian.

You romanticize Azriel being unable to sleep because of his razor sharp thoughts and blame it on Elain.

I romanticize Azriel peacefully sleeping with Gwyn in his arms both of them sated and calm.

Feyre talked about how Cassian and Az would take her away from Rhysand -  and then they would come back to deal with Rhys - if he ever treated her the way Tamlin did. But yet no one is taking Nesta away from Cassian and the IC even though they're treating her worse than Tamlin treated Feyre. It would be nice if Az winnowed Nesta away in the next book and then came back to deal with Cassian and Rhys, but I don't trust SJM to hold them accountable for their actions.

Tumblr is turning me into a Gwynriel

I’ve always been an Elucien girly. Always. There’s just so much potential, so much beauty in their dynamic. The tension, the slow burn, the second-chance-at-love vibes... I’ve always seen something special in Elain and Lucien, and that’s the ship I’ve rooted for from the start. 💕

And Azriel? I care about him, I do. I want him to be happy, but…I’ve just never paid him much attention. He’s cool, but not my focus

But Tumblr is turning me into SUCH a Gwyriel girly. The fan arts, the theories, the analyses, the fics! Y’all are changing me. I’m suddenly looking at Azriel differently, noticing all these nuances, and pairing him with Gwyn is perfection. She’s such a powerful, dynamic character, and they just fit.

The bonus chapter has me hyped for their story.

I’ve been imagining a scene for their book: Azriel and Gwyn hunting Bryaxis together. Gwyn’s in full Blood Rite mode, tracking Bryaxis with her hunting skills, and Azriel’s just like, “She is incredible.”

When they find Bryaxis, she thinks they’re going to attack and readies to strike, but Gwyn steps forward and starts singing. Azriel's shadows slowly begin swirling around Gwyn, drawn to the glow of her hair. 🥹

Yeah, I'm a Gwynriel now.

Gwyn and Azriel soul bound by the mother, the saint and the sinner .... The concept is a play on how we have Gywn someone who channels the mother's power through her invoking stone .... and then we have Azriel an illyrian ... illyrians  who were experiments by the daglan ... Gwyns stone grants her healing powers as opposed to Azriel's siphons that channel killing power ... the Holy and the unholy ... yet they are bound by the threads of Fate....

We represented the two sides of the cauldron and how the mate bond remains undisturbed as it is the mother who decides the bond and not the cauldron ..... A mate bond that we know can not be broken using even the cauldrons power - ACOMAF ( Feysand is proof) nothing can mess with the mate bond ... its by the mother herself and forces beyond the capability of the cauldron.

The infinity ♾️ loop is to represent the strength and purity of a mate bond and the poetic nature of it binding two opposites with Gywn and Az ... the yin and yang
